Sad to see the franchise crumble like this during covid. All you can really do is buy food and you arent allowed to dine in so we just ordered a pizza to go. Dont get me wrong the pizza is amazing, its just sad that no more games are allowed to be played. The place just feels like a five nights at Freddys game the animatronics are still on looking creepy the place is empty and theres just two workers who look like they really dont want to be there. Sad to see the place crumble.
My kids loves this place.Lots of things to do and they arrange nice parties for the kids.Very nice staff and parking is available.
I go to this excellent restaurant every couple of days as I love the special air that is part of this restaurant. The team is extremely welcoming and experienced. The service is pretty efficient. Most important, the food they serve is good. I ate there often and I was never disappointed. The pay is reasobable. I highly recommend this place to to all.
We were the only people in the place and they still wouldnt let the 2 kids play any games. Why are they even open?
This location is the last Chuck E. Cheese’s in the world with the Chuck E. Cheese’s Pizza signage from phase 2, they have the retrofitted phase 2 sign where chuck has his yellow sweater with the red cap with star on it, like the 1995 phase 3 exterior sign, they have the 1995 sign on the inside above when you exit, the store is phase 2 glory, they have the checkers, have the red to yellow phase 3 awnings outside, have the shelf’s, the phase 2 posters, mount Chuckmore, when I went they had the record posters on the walls, as of today they have the phase 4 kid posters, they have showroom walls, have two “balcony” like spots, has the showroom sign from phase 2,has a 1 stage, has Chuck E’s rockstar jeans, has avenger shirt, Pasqually’s has a purple bass drum design with musical notes around it, I really like the store. When I went I was shocked when I saw the exterior sign and the interior, store was clean when I went, some problems with the stage, Chuck e was in good condition, Helen couldn’t move her body, she could move her mouth and eyelids and I think her eyes, and head, and right arm, but she couldn’t move her left arm because it’s connected so when the body turn right the left arm goes out, munch was in good condition I think, jasper was also good kind of, pasqually was also in good condition but his eyes were closed, I visited this location in may 2019 and I liked it, I wanted to go to the Chuck E. Cheese in San Diego on college avenue which has a circles of light stage with a bot, but I guess my mom didn’t know the address and we went here instead, I would recommend this location is historic, also this store opened in 1993.
Great place to bring kids for birthdays lots of games to play hear the pizza is okay but the staff is very nice
Not bad, but, not as big as it could be. Would be nicer if the dining area and the play areas were separate, but they are merged here which makes for some tight squeezes by people trying to eat. Most of the smaller kids toys are right next to the dining area so your wild kid is basically running and screaming right next to people sitting down and eating. Not too many around these days though so youre kind of stuck with whats available.
I havent been here in 4 years but it was still really nice . When we walked in the young lady that greeted us was very friendly. The Manager told me about a great offer they were having all in all my daughter and a great time .
Great place to bring kids, we came here for my wifes little brother he had a blast,!! Actually we all did with the unlimited time card everyone had a chance to play something. Prices were very reasonable and Chuck, the mouse performed a little show and gaved free tickets. We made 1000 tickets prizes were a bit high to achieve.
Pizza and Salad bar is superb! My children had a ton of fun and I really like that they have different card options for kiddos to maximize their play!
Super friendly staff. Food was great. Kiddos were entertained thoroughly. Got the unlimited play for 90 minutes and it even lets you pause the time so they can eat! Would definitely go again!
The place has really changed since the last time we were here. It was nice and clean and the staff was super amazing. The games all were working condition. We also always check the website for coupons before we go to save a couple of bucks. Will come to visit soon again. My son really wants a specific toy and is saving up his points for it.
The staff was very helpful and quick. Ill deny this up and down if you tell anyone I said so but I like their thin crust pizza(order it by name, get pepperoni... youre at Chuck E. Cheese). We all liked the unicorn churro. Id recommend unlimited game play and let the kids run wild.
Did they change the pizza again? It was good, but I thought the pizza was thicker. I loved that we paid $25 and it gave us unlimited play for a hour. We will be back. Oh also, the staff was very nice and helpful.
This is a great place for kids and groups like birthday parties. They have a salad bar and pizzas along with beverages. The games are fun for everyone and tickets are paid out to players. At the end of the party tickets are totaled and used to trade for prizes.
Place is filthy. We were the 1st customers of the day. Trash was full. Tables were still dirty from previous day. Staff was not welcoming At ALL!!! Carpet is absolutely discusting
My great grandson got so excited, the minute we pulled into the parking lot. We all had fun there.
My daughter and I have visited this Chuck E. Cheeses numerous times over the past four years. Unfortunately, today happened to be an off day for them. There were seven games that were not working correctly and two that were out-of-order that I noticed. One of the staff was friendly enough to fix one. She tried to fix two more, but it just wasnt fixable at that time. We ordered a large cheese pizza as usual. This time though, the pizza had an abundance of grease on it. I told one of the staff to please let the kitchen staff know about the extra grease. Every staff member that I encountered was friendly and accommodating, except for one. The acting manager on staff was particularly rude to me when I tried to explain to her about the games not working and the greasy pizza. I was being friendly and nice when I said that I thought that they were just having a bad day, but we enjoy coming here. She responded back by saying, Were not having a bad day. Thank you. turned her back to me and walked away pretty fast. I dont know this managers name, but she worked on Sunday, July 14th at lunchtime. My daughter and I will be back because we love this place, but hopefully a lot more games will be fixed including the attitude of the acting manager that day. I understand that she may have been having a bad day herself. As a manager though, she just needs to learn to not take it out on her paying regular customers.
Always understaffed be prepare to wait a long time just to get service or someone let you in since they need to stamp the whole family.

Chuck E Cheese La Mesa has the only animatronic Chuck E band that I am aware of in the San Diego county region. The restaurant, the staff, the on-site management, and general management genuinely care about the guest experience. Cleanliness is a hallmark of this store.
Booked a seven year old birthday party everything was fine until came time for the cake the cake was supposed to be a chocolate Batman cake they didnt have Batman so we went with Chuck-E-Cheese but they brought a white cake instead of chocolate cake. Its been a really long time since weve been there they went from coins to card two points or minutes. One point per game but the game times are very short. Ended up costing $288. But our host Jayden was really good. I suggest you bring coupons instead of ordering online when your book in your party.
My kids love it. Try the Buffet so easy to please everyone.
One of the best In san Diego. Dont worry about losing sight of the kids for a sec.
The place is filthy dirty. I was there with my kids around 2pm. The place should be always clean. No excuse for this
Fun for kids, but they can probably use another employee or two working here, it gets busy and hard to find someone to exchange your kiddos precious tickets. Otherwise, its clean and the food is edible. The games are fun for kids and adults, sometimes Im the one having the most fun.
Terrible experience. Waited for an hour and were never served our pizza. When we eventually asked for a refund we were only given a partial amount. This location deserves a no star rating.
Can be cooler especially when there are 100 kids running around creating more body heat
I just had the best Chucke Cheese experience of my life. The staff was SO nice and friendly. Thanks for making our night!
Kids had fun but I have recently learned that my daughter cant have the pizza here. She broke out in hives after having it, so Im assuming shes allergic to something in it.After this happened I wanted to look up the ingredients in the pizza and I went to their website and clicked on the links they have to see what is in the pizza and the links dont work, none of them that have any info on what is in their foods work.I found this annoying, as this was the first time my daughter has ever had an allergic reaction to any food so I wanted to try to narrow down what it could have been that caused her reaction.I called my local store and explained this to them and I asked if they could email me a list. The lady said she would take a picture of the ingredients and email them to me but I have yet to receive that.I tried calling the number listed online and it was only an automated machine button after button.Im really annoyed that none of those links worked that they have on their website about their food.Probably wont be going back to Chuck E Cheese anytime soon.
We had my daughters 4th birthday here. Wasnt a bad experience per say. But party area was way too crowded... There was plenty of room to spread out the parties a little, but everyone was crammed right next to each other. The pizza and cake were good. The only other complaint I had was that about 1/4 of the machines were out of order. Otherwise it was a good experience.
I have come to this location for over a decade ️ They strive to keep the facility clean, they continue to be current in technology and games, and their staff has made constant effort to keep guest satisfied. Food is always fresh, salad bar is decently maintained (compared to other locations), and its a solid location for a childs birthday.
I used to love this place until they went to the card system. The nice thing about tokens is you could give the kids a few at a time and they would always come back to your table now you let them loose with a card that either has minutes or points and its easy for them to lose and its difficult to keep track of. Its also very hard when you have a large group of people. We had 21 children with us and we had to figure out how to buy each one of them a card and make it work with their menu system and still be affordable. It took us almost an hour to order because it was so hard to figure out. The old system I just would have ordered a couple hundred tokens and split them up. Not a fan. Not sure if Ill be back. We did spend approximately $400.
The customer service was excellent. One nice young lady was running the show. Monday the 8th of July at the grossmont location.
It was my friends daughters 9th birthday . It was fun.
Always a good time $16 for an hour of unlimited play when you buy time instead of points. I like that ypu can upgrade your winnings and buy them for a penny per point
Grandaughers birthday! Pizza is good, salad bar, the character comes out for a bit with the kids! New thing they have, and I recommend the 2hr bracelet unlimited games! Well worth it.. second year in a row for birthday in La Mesa area!.
Ha ha, I was actually at the post office next door, but past experiences, my kid loved it
Pizzas really good. Lots of new games.
Enjoyed the pizza and the SaladsDefinitely not a place I can afford every weekend and not one I would readily return after my experience.Spent $60 on a pepperoni medium pizza 4 drinks 2 endless salad bar and 2 game cards $10 each.An employee approached our table and asked to take the salad plates, I asked if he was going to replace them with new ones and he said No, I asked what purpose would it serve to buy the endless salad bar option if I only serve myself 1 time. He looked confused and asked if I payed for those pointing at our salad plates. This went on for about 5 mins. I kept my calm but inside I was starting to brainstorm a way to return the humiliation if he didnt withdraw from my table. Luckily for him he removed himself before I got upset. There didnt appear to be any mature adults working this location...I dont know if they had a manager on-site.
Only went for games, and Loved the new unlimited for a set period of time, works well with little guys. Staff was attentive and helpful!
Amazing customer service and had a great time
Managers are so on top of it so cool had a really good time
Grossmont location is very clean, very friendly and prompt staff/service and the food was cooked well
This place was cool, with the exception of the salad bar which had brown lettuce and soggy spinach.. but then again who goes there for the salad ? THE PIZZA WAS BOMB ! AND ALL THE KIDS HAD A BLAST (including myself).
My kids have fun here good food
Manager Kay does not help customers at all and has a very bad attitude.1.I pay 50 dollars for party reservation. She said if I didnt had the receipt it will not be credited.2.pay for 2 beers and scanned Id for both almost 20 minutes for that transaction when cashier asked for what kind she realizes she made a mistake on price then one of IDs did not go thru as it was scanned 5 min ago.3.hostess was helping the cashiers she put the pizza and soda on the table but I had to serve all children.Manager feels empowered to mistreat any one and there is no higher representative to put a complain.
My daughter loves coming here! The games never get old and she loves the pizza. I love the salad bar with the beets. Last time we came there were only a few kids. My daughter asked if Chuck was coming out to dance and the young lady behind the counter said yes and had him come out for her and another little girl. It really made her day.
Good place to visit if youre with children.
I can take my 2 grratgrandsons there to enjoy themselves
My kids played their app and printed 1740 tickets and we went their they were exspieed and they didnt let them threw
Great customer service! Managment and staff awesome! Pizza is fresh and tastes great!
The place was clean and the food was what youd expect. Staff were on the floor fixing arcade games immediately they malfunctioned. My kids loved it.
I dont really care for the place but its one of my childs favorite places to go. Its really a gamble on whether or not the staff are friendly, the selection in food is good, whether or not they have the prizes my child wants and how many games dont work.
Today is my sons bday and he requested to come here. We ordered large sampler and nuggets meals .We waited for almost an hour for our orders. To my surprise, the large sampler that cost $20.99 was served only wings and celery. I asked if that is all? 15 mins later, Bread sticks were served. I went back to the counter and read the items again in the menu and asked the crew about it. Another few minutes here it comes the cheese sticks...oh my ...where is the other item?. So again, I asked where is the French fries? I approached the same crew, she said they are out of French Fries instead they will give us pretzels, I agreed. Guess where is the pop pretzels? ..Im still waiting...
Surprisingly clean and calm for a weekend outing. The games are fun and easy for most kids to enjoy. The tickets are always a favorite even if the prizes are random.
Booked my 5 year olds party here and It was such a headache. Our host was never present I had to run her down and ask her for basic necessities (cups, game card, plates and forks)we were also missing alot of items in our package deal and service was very slow. waste of $260
Went to the one in Grossmont Center. Was very disappointed. We were there for a birthday party and the food we ordered took forever to get and then it was cold. The service was terrible. Will never go to that one again for a party.
This is the most FILTHY establishment I have EVER stepped foot in! Absolutely HORRID! I complained and the staff got ignorant and rude with me.... as if to say how dare I complain that every table was littered with trash, the floors had spilled soft drinks (cup, ice, soda and all!) just being kicked around by the kids. One staff said he couldnt leave the front to clean up the dirty toilet paper from the bathroom that was on the floor by a table yet I saw him 2 minutes later on the other side of the place checking someones card balance. The salad bar was grotesque with the lettuce sitting in 6 inches of dirty water. From the look of the filth that you can see, I am 100% positive that the games dont get wiped down. And the floors have NEVER been steam cleaned. This place needs to be shut down. I will NEVER come back here again!
It has been reduced in size and you have to have your coins put on a card and it is only good for a certain time limit. My 6 year old was not ready to go, but it was $20 for another 45 min. The pizza was not very good!
First, let me start off by saying my family owned a restaurant, that I managed for a time. Now that I have given you my background, Id have to say that this was probably the filthiest restaurant I have been to in recent memory. I was disgusted from just trying to get a straw out of the nasty sticky dispenser. I know that you have to clean the soda machine removable parts, at a minimum once a day, but it looked like they hadnt been cleaned in weeks. I ordered a personal pizza and fries, and got something I could have gotten in the frozen section at Vons. I would also advise anyone who visits the home of anyone who posted that this place was clean, to not stay for dinner. Gave it 2 stars because its fun for the kids. Just eat before or after you go.
Why does this location still have the word “Pizza” on the front of the entire building?
Great place to spent time with kids. The $21 unlimited play for a hour was great.
Pricing keeps going up. Games are dated/ malfunctioning. Some aspects are still fun and memorable though.
Ok. Games often not working. Sometimes the tables have plates andfood sitting there for hours that should be cleared. Cheaper to play by time rather than buying tokens for games.
It is what it is. My son wanted to see the mouse. We waited over an hour. The staff said they couldnt wake him up lol
Little sad and depressing but the kids sure love it. We did go on a Monday evening so maybe thats why it was so empty. The games were a little dated but still fun. Decent enough selection of prizes.
A little pricy. I got two pizzas and 2 drinks and 2 beers for 80 dollars. My baby had a lot of fun, nice staff, and the environment was also a very safe one for my baby.
Clean, customer service on point. No more tokens, you load a card at a certain cost in order to play games. Card is reloadable at floor machine. Like a kids miniature casino. I will admit 2 or 3 machines were temporarily down, but maintenance was on top of it. When tickets are low, machine beak over time, maintenance is well maintained. Bathrooms clean. All around. If your kids didnt make enough tickets, they will give you the benefit of the doubt. First time coming here and Chucky was very interactive. Ive been to other Chuckys before and to some people a job is a job. But, this chucky went above and beyond. Children make memories here and not many people care, but it makes me smile seeing my kids smile when I take them to Chuckys. The only thing I wish is that they bring the tokens back.
The pizza was great and both my 9 yr old and my 3 yr old had a fun time playing the games.
This place is dated. Chuck E should consider retirement
This place has really gone down hill. Customer service is good but doesnt seem like any money is being spent to keep things running. They had four beers on tap and all four were out. Both ice tea drinks had a weird smell and taste as if the nozzles had not been clean in a while. Two other soda selection from the fountain machine were out. Looks like same decor from 20 years ago when I came as a kid. Thing that sucks balls is were most likely not going to stop coming here like many other familys because the kids love this damn place. Pizza and wings are ok.
Enjoyed my sons fifth birthday here, amazing. Our host was the best he made sure to make our party feel special my son had the time of his life. Affordable pricing and convenient location-hassle free birthday party.
Super fun! I just wish the place was cleaner.
Totally disorganized, had to keep asking for things that were part of the package we ordered, not worth the 400 bucks we paid. They appeared under staffed for the crowds that were there, i have done quite a few bdays here and this was the worst, will not be back
My 2 little girls and I enjoy chuck e cheese to the fullest I always love printing the coupons and rewards calendars to get the best savings my two are 8 and 4 and I cant get enough of the salad bar!! the Staff is always friendly.......also just found out my girls can play games and win up to 50 tickets online before we even go awesome......feeling like super champions....Here we come chuck!!
Kids get a lot of tickets and usually acceptable customer service
Its ok when you have a 2 year old
Close parking, friendly staff and great food.
Customer service 0, pizza was not served in a timely manner we were hungry and werent offered something while waiting over an hour for pizza, poor management skills.
Great deals kids always have fun
So much has changed since I was there last. They are now using a game card system now instead of the tokens and they no longer have the ball pit. The ball pit was the best part.
Good pizza not recycled! Just cut in half and mix matched
Man been awhile cuz it was not clean. They did a great job cleaning it up. Well be back!
A worker harassed me. this was an unpleasant experience.
Midday during the week and for 13 bucks you get a Caesar wrap and a soda that makes you wish you were at Costco, then most of the games are broken or out of tickets and theyve got one poor guy working on everything. -_- Seriously? Awful.
Their pizza has really changed over the years for the better.
Way too crowded. Way too slow. Way too many ugly children.
Some of the staff is aeesome and others you can tell hate their job. Kids love it here and the new deals are awesome. Just need the managers here to stop projecting their bad energy and giving out customer service. I went here and spent $200 and they would not assist me in refunding my dauvhter for 2 hours they lost on a card. Thats literally $24 and free tp them and would not help us out so i paid another $24 on top of the $200 that was spent on a regular day. Im going to look into other locations.
We went to see our granddaughter to say hi. She works there.
I got the aap platter and the food was cold and under cooked
Very nice place. Very good service for the Birthday parts.
Fun fun for my special gwen birthday party
A blast for the kids and adults. Pizza was better than expected.
