Good location. They practice catch and release. Good size bass! The water is good distance from parking area. Kinda far to lug gear. Have a small fishing pier and can fish from bank all around small lake. Have fun

My son always catches 6 to 10 fish when he comes here. For sure catch he says...lol great experience

Really well kept park. It was really nice to walk around and find a bench in front of the water. A few trees so more shaded areas would be nice. I was pleasantly surprised by how many people hang out in this place. As the evening wore on a group of people arrived and were consuming alcohol which is against the rules. They were a bit loud but kept to themselves but that makes this family friendly park a bit less friendly.

This is a real nice little park, well kept, clean and mowed, outdoor porta potties, picnic area, kids play center with shade sails and imitation grass. Fishing was nice, pier nice, seating, and fish and turtles active.

I live very close to the lake so I got to watch pie in the sky and many other interesting events from my backyard. They offer skydiving and much more events and things to do. Kids live the park and I love looking at the pretty water. Love coming here in my free time!

Not many trees and few benches and picnic tables. Parking lot is small, random trashcans, and playground. Bathrooms are temporarily closed. Popular spot for families. Everytime we go someone catches a fish...we still have our fingers crossed.

This park is kept VERY clean and the yard work is also on point. The lake is a long way from the entrance, so be prepared to walk. Very popular for fishing. Catch & Release ONLY

The lake is the highlight.Maybe someday the park can have some trees and stuff planted to give it some character?

It was a really nice place. Its got a lot of nice fishing spots and picnic tables for the family. I was able to catch 3 of them in a very short amount of time.

Nice park wish the trail went around the entire pond for walking purposes. Its really a beautiful area lots of spots for picnics with tables and bbq pit one covered area. The playground is covered so that is even nicer with rock climbing area

Looks like a nice place to fish or have a picnic, but we visited to walk and there really wasnt much of a trail, unfortunately.

Took some friends out with their boys, first time fishing had a blast. Both boys caught 2 fish apiece. Wonderful day

A very clean park, but be ready to walk if youre going to the lake! The lake is down a long sidewalk that deadends at the lake. The lake isnt huge but its very clean. Its catch and release. There are a few picnic tables under shaded trees. At the entrance of the park there is a playground and restrooms (portapotties during CoVid19). There is also one pier with two picnic tables on it. Very nice if youre catching blue gill. Easy place to fish at for children.

Pie in the Sky Festival: Beautiful Lake Kyle and park, a very hot day with a nice breeze. It was too windy for balloons to illuminate Saturday night, which was disappointing since that was the main attraction. Fireworks both nights was pretty cool. They had A/C in two restrooms that were always clean. Tickets to enter park were $30 for the entire weekend with kids 10 and under free. They close the park at 12pm and reopen at 5pm on Saturday. Great family event.

Quiet and I love that no pets are allowed. Good facilities and places to sit and rest. Only caught a couple of fish but the park is beautiful and relaxing.

Was at Pie in the Sky a balloon and pie festival in Kyle the last weekend in August. Lots of food, music and balloons. There is a morning and an afternoon sessions with balloon rides, bands,food,pie and other vendors. On non festival days the park is large with a lake that is stocked with fish. Gear for kids to fish with is available at the office for free. A nice park for gatherings.

Had my sons cross country meet there in the mud. That was fine. To be expected when it rains. But I cant bring my dog? Thats ridiculous. I even caught difficulties when I brought my service dog in there.

Another great park by the city of Kyle. Great job. Although it has been closed for a while now, double check before you head there.

After an exhilarating climb at Great Zimbabwe National Monument, we drove a few kilometres down the road to Lake Kyle Dam Wall. The views from the wall are amazing and watching the sun set was a beautiful end to an amazing day. The strong winds from the spillage side of the wall are ones to look out for especially if u have children but otherwise a very good experience. Plenty of lodges dotted along the lake which offer cruises and fishing excursions.

Very beautiful place to come and see in the early morning!

It is not a lake it is not a natural pond it is a man-made medium-sized retention pond parking lot is too far from the water you will see wild ducks domestic ducks regular Turtles one large special Turtle I saw one large muskrat or nutrient Google takes you to someones house you have to figure out on your own how to get to the pond you get here it says Park closed but you can still Park and walk there is a small playground for kids you can fish here lots of tiny solid brown frogs lots of clams

Everything was great until the weather got bad. This is the second year we have not seen the balloons go up. I think they need to move it up few weeks before the hurricanes roll in.

A cute little playground, a big recreational feild, a pond for fishing, a small community garden, and a take-one-leave-one community book box. There is also a covered gazebo with picnic tables and bbq pits.There is also the chance you may see people flying paramotors in the feild. Very nice park!

Great walk around the lake with my daughter tonight. A little muddy in the lower spots but we enjoyed a fun jump. Took us 45 minutes to walk all the way around.

Park is closed due to lehman rd construction so unless you want to see gravel hear beeping backing up trucks i suggest go elsewhere. This was saturday october 12 2019

They don’t allow dogs. Not even with waste clean-up or on a leash.My daughter, dogs and I walked all the way there and had to turn around. I didn’t see anything about “no dogs” clearly posted up-front on their web page or on this google profile. I had to dig very deep to find anything on it at all, and that was after the fact. What sort of self-respecting Park doesn’t allow dogs? None I’d want to go to.

Nice park. Very well maintained. Nice fishing areas as well as walking areas. Not much shade, but that was not an issue today.

Avid park goer. The lake has such a calming effect. I enjoy watching the paramotor group launch, land, and fly around. Park, fishing(catch and release), and- outdoor space- to fly a kite.

This Park is small and has just a few parking spaces. It has a small playground for little children. Fishing is allowed in the lake but it has a catch and release policy. A fishing license is required. A small pier is available for fishing. The park is flat with virtually no trees. This allows it to host the annual hot air balloon rides. It has also annual fishing competitions and sometimes a movie night in the park.

Nice park with a lake, playground, picnic tables, and restrooms. Park office during certain hours, since fishing in the lake requires a fishing license. No pet park, so leave the pets at home! Beautiful place for central Texas spring photos in the bluebonnets. Overall, a really great family place for fun!

Nice little lake in an open field with one or two trees and surrounded by housing developments. There is a small playground for small children and some bathrooms. Thats about it.

Seldom crowded and the fish dont bite!Not really family friendly since you cant bring your dog. Great place to fly a kite or watch paragliders.

Took the kids fishing here. We used worms and didnt catch anything. It was a great time.

Great open park! Fishing is catch and release and they don’t allow dogs, but this helps keep things in great condition.

If you want to fish off the bank, this is the place to do it. Load up the kids with them little kid fishing poles and do it. Lots of snake warnings, but stay on the grass and piers and you are most likely not going to run into one.

This park is clean and nice. Very well taken care. I would think that there would be more picnic tables available. Maybe as the community grows, the park will expand.

Very nice clean open area. If youre lucky enough, can get some nice shaddy spots that have picnic tables. Great area to fish or just come and relax. Nice playground for the kids and a hiking trail around the grounds. Small office up front to purchase.fishing licenses, drinks, and other things.

Its new and spacious, but my main concern is that the playground is for older kids. The slide is tall, narrow, and has no sides. My toddler was too small for and/or disinterested in the other features of the playground.

Pie in the Sky fest was a bust. Stood in line for over an hour for bus back to parking. Never saw any hot air balloons. Even with winning free tickets not worth it. Sorry, Kyle...

Lake is Catch and Release Only! Caught three Large Mouth Bass one was 1.2lbs .8lbs and a 2.5lbs. Park was very clean and negative side to many people use braided line while catfish so if you dont snag one two or three and lose your lures >:( also Dont forget to bring Water and Canopy for shade.
