Amazing the pool is great and so it the running track for the amount of money we pay its definitely worth it. The staff are also really nice.

Staff doesn’t help you with anything regarding taking a fitness class. I tried 3 times to do a virtual spin class and received very little help. First two times I showed up early and no one ever came to turn on anything. This last time I just walked in and turned the lights on and there was a speaker barely playing and I couldn’t figure out how to turn the bikes on. Went back to the desk and no one was there. Waste of time.

I really like it there. Good size cardio area, but weight area could be bigger. Just a few people in the weight area makes it real cramp. The staff is friendly. Paul is very friendly and seems to get to know the guests pretty well.

Sue is the swim director. She is so wonderful and she has fantastic customer service skills. The people at the front desk are extremely helpful and the person at the check- in desk was very friendly. The place is so nice. It is State of the Art!! Nice new machines, the pools are so nice and clean. Everything is new. They even have a little kid area in pool area. I am beyond impressed with that place!

Pros:- Nice & friendly staff.- Clean facility (gym, pool etc.) & equipment.- Family friendly place, with lots of parking space.- Many programs to promote healthy lifestyleCon:- In rush hours, there is a wait for gym equipment. Because there is only one machine of each type.

While I really like bringing my boys here. I have to wonder if the managers recommend the little teenage lifeguards enjoy bossing parents and kids around. I make my boys follow all of their rules they are constantly giving out, even if the rule seems ridiculous and is not posted anywhere. Seriously though, why can I not use a paddle board to teach my 6yr old how to swim? When I tried to use one they said that those are only for the lap pool. I cannot try and teach my kid to swim in the lap pool where I cannot touch. One day I swear the little red headed girl was getting off on telling us what to do. No matter what we did she told us it was not allowed. My boys and I were just playing with each other in the water. I would never allow them to do something that would hurt them. An I will not teach my boys to argue or not follow the rules. So we ended up leaving way sooner then we intended to. If the red headed gal had it her way we would all just get in the pool and stand there.It also irritates me when they close the steam room early. I intentionally plan our swim times so I have 20min in steam room before I get the kids out. When they close it early so they can clean it early its very frustrating.My biggest issue is the day we went at 5pm in the middle of the week and they told us they were closed early because it was lightening outside???? What does lightening matter when you are inside a building???? I said we cannot workout, or take classes either? No, were closed because of lightening, they said. It was not even raining anymore. The sun was out. When I pay $55 A month I expect to be able to enjoy my time in the pool without teenagers with a big head telling us we cannot play with our kids in the water. An I expect the place to be open rather it is raining or not. I do love the new building and I enjoy having somewhere to take my babies. I just think the staff needs to remember the people are paying to be there.

I love the running track. Just wish it was a little bigger. I dont like that I cant go into some of the other rooms like where the sleds are unless I am participating in a class. I love doing unorthodox workouts on my own and not in a group.

Its fun but i wish they would be open on labor day and, or memorial day.

I love it! I just wish there was more racket rooms, and a diving board areas. But its kokomo were pretty small in room to be able to do that.

Very nice, very classy. All of the equipment appears to be brand-new. I just wish there was more equipment.

It is an open light bright Indy clean facility. The people on the staff are friendly and very helpful.

EDIT: I received a call from the COO and she is currently working on improving this situation for my friends and I! It was very nice to get a response in one day! From 1 to 3 stars for customer service.At the core of a business, especially a community-minded organization, the Kokomo YMCA does not work with its customers. I have, on at least five occassions, asked for the walley ball net put up in the racquetball room (when I called 24 hours in advance to schedule), requested two to four hours a week of having a volleyball net up in a basketball gym (multiple people have requested this), and asked to get in contact with a manager. 0 out of 5 times have resulted in anything other than, sorry, were understaffed and only a staff member can put it up (which said employee sits around doing nothing for the next hour), we can get your information to a manager (resulting in no action), or sorry, I just dont have an answer.Thanks YMCA,Your daily, active customer

Fun and I like it sooooooo much better than the old YMCA

Not enough kid stuff. How about kid obstacle courses and kid fitness. Something for 6 thru 13 to do while parents work out besides gym.

Great place for the whole family.

YMCA is great for exercising individually or in a group.
