The playground is awful. It’s outdated and small with a poor layout (the smaller slide perfect for younger children is only accessible via a ladder, large gaps in railings, large gaps on the colored steps up to a cage that leads absolutely nowhere). The gravel is uneven, there’s a large rough plank of wood on a playground wall for some reason.We enjoy the trail around this park and the fields seem nice enough, but we won’t be back to this playground. I always wondered why we hardly saw any children here, but now I know why.

Go to school there. Better than expected. Wonderful teachers. Students not so great. But besides that there is some great successful students.

Rough School for a Middle School! Extreme amounts of bullying, yes I know and am very aware of the problem the school systems are facing with the children having to deal with terrible things daily via in person to social media platforms. Theres bullying everywhere, but its a seems to be excessive at this school, Im speaking out of personal experience with many parents and children I know. All of these parents know how it is, on a personal basis, who have children, in that preticular school (NMS). I think teachers are doing their best. Im here to give my personal opinion on, what I know about Northwest Middle School.

Great walk trails. Good parking with bathrooms when you walk through to the Victor Ashe parkside- bonus! Love how the trails wind in and out of nature. You can keep it simply and walk the loop around the soccer fields or keep going for a longer walk with some hills. Playgrounds are easily accessed from the parking lot.

Great place to jog or walk. An approximately one mile, paved loop. Pretty flat. Does connect by a .9 mile path to Victor Ashe park. Victor Ashe park has restrooms and a water fountain while Northwest Middle School does not.

They need to keep it cleaner, and the playground needs a redo. But overall a fun place.

My daughter has only been going here for about 5 months but so far we love it.

This park is one to stay away from! The transients have moved into the wooded areas around it, there is no safe place day or not here.

Great place to take kids to play. No creepy people hanging out

My son goes there. Its an all right place.

Its a clean kid friendly area and many kids to play with but theres not a lot of traffic the grass isnt high and theres no mosquitoes

My Old Middle School

Perfect place to walk while you let the kids play.

Its an ok school. My son is always coming home complaining of something but he will be home schooled soon and wont have to deal with it anymore

They dont care and bullying is a big big problem it is like pulling teeth to get them to help you

Theres a track, though its made of hard concrete. There are also soccer fields, though the grass tends to be lumpy and long. Itll do in a pinch, though.
