Booked a 3 bedroom vacation home through Running Y for our family of 5, and it was a great experience. Nice cabin feel while still having access to the resort facilities. Kids loved the pool and hit tub facility. In the house, there was a full bath and 2 bedrooms downstairs, along with kitchen, dining room, family room, and washer/dryer. Upstairs was a nice loft, as well as master bedroom & bathroom. Got hot with the 95 degree weather and so used not only AC but also the ceiling fans. When we arrived, the power to the TV and router was off. I finally found that the switch to the family room was off inside the circuit breaker panel. Once I flipped that on, everything worked fine.We were not given access to the garage though. So we had to park the car in the driveway, which wasnt a big deal.Overall very comfortable experience in a nice quiet location. I would stay here again.

The sprawling grounds of the resort are well maintained and clean. The lodge is beautiful and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Our room had bit of a sewer type smell, but we spoke to the front desk about it and they were receptive. The pool and gym was in a separate building, but was very well appointed. The pool was impressive, large pool, hot tub, wading pool and sauna, all indoors. I have a thing for hotel gyms and this one gets an A+, I loved the variety of equipment. There is a mini golf course on site for an extra fee. In addition to the beautiful golf course. The grounds have several places to hang out and enjoy. As well as gathering areas inside the lodge. The pool facility also has out door games, video games and a clothong store in case you forgot something. Adjacent to the resort is a spa, restaurant, ice rink, deli and well appointed market. Its a bit out of town,, but has all the amenities you need. The resort is also puppers friendly! Would love to come back for a longer stay.

We really enjoy the property every time we go. The Ranch is an amazing community. Check in was a bit abrasive with bug warning, with covid dinner reservations are necessary. Regardless we really enjoyed using the gorunds including pool, spa, dry sauna and the bar and restaurant. The hostess was not very pleasurable to deal with but certain staff members went out of their way to extend hospitality. Thanks Sunny! You really made dining at the resort pleasurable. Not every employee goes above and beyond the call but you did and we felt at home because of you. Cheers & see you next time. Also, we really enjoyed the Spa at the gold club house. Reserve early.

We loved the Resort, the Golf course and the beauty surrounding. Sitting on the patio overlooking the course in late afternoon with a cocktail, and later on with dinner, was absolutely beautiful. The golf course was so much fun and in excellent shape. The greens and fairways were perfection. The Taco Truck at the course was delicious! We will be back soon and will bring friends!

Nice, quite resort with two very nice restaurants. By SF Bay standards they are very cheap too. Two minor issues: 1) there arent a lot of interesting places to go in Klamath Falls; besides the natural beauty of the Oregon wilderness; 2) the carpets in our unit is dusty, my kids feet turned charcoal as soon as they takes off the shoes.Overall we had fun. Skillet Handle trail is great for hiking or mountain bike riding for the family, Moore Park is a huge and remarkably quiet place to go too.We would go swimming in the indoor pool in the sports center to burn off the remaining energy of the kids, and walk down to Taste of India and Rubby Duck for a very nice dinner. A family of 4 can have a very nice dinner for around $60.

First and foremost on 3 separate occasions we were locked out of our rooms. I had to go downstairs and get new keys while my mother-in-law and wife waited outside our door. The first two times the new keys worked. The third time they did not. I then had to go downstairs again and wait 15 minutes while the desk clerk followed me up to let us in with her master key. She said maintenance would have to come and fix the door (so in the mean time we could not leave the room). After about a half hour he showed up but still our keys did not work so he gave us the key he was using.Second, at 12:30 AM on 9/10 we were wakened by one of the two fire alarms going off briefly many times. I knew from our own experience it was due to a dead battery. I called the front desk and they did not have a battery that would fit but would look. In the mean time the alarm kept going off. She eventually brought a battery but didnt know if it was any good? It wasnt. After about 5 minutes it started going off again. We called the front desk again and after 30 minutes she returned with a maintenance man who had 2 new batteries. We installed them (on both fire alarms) and finally they worked.Third, around 10:30 PM on 9/12 the entire lodge had to be evacuated due to a false alarm setting off all of the fire alarms. In addition to these things the room we stayed in was in desperate need of a remodel - the furnishing, carpet, and kitchen appliances old and worn. While the setting is beautiful, the amenities great, & the staff friendly because of the reasons stated I cannot recommend staying at the Lodge.

This was my second visit to Running Y and cant wait to return. I choose to come back not only because I loved my first visit but because I believed we could have a safe social-distanced experience while still feeling like we on a vacation. It was perfect! There are so many walking trails and activities to keep busy and plenty of space to relax and unwind. The market on the property is well stocked and the staff there are so nice.

The hotel is quite nice with an elegant entry and nice meet up areas throughout. We both had blackened halibut with risotto while taking in the view at the hotels restaurant. The course is fun to play with hills and breaking putts. Unfortunately, the spa was booked, so make sure you make reservations for that in advance. We will be back here.

The Arnold Palmer Signature course is among our favorites. Beautiful, challenging and very fun. The resort is clean and appropriately appointed for the price. The king with a golf course view is misleading on the website. We had to change rooms because according to the picture it was supposed to have a balcony but does not so we ended up in a double queen. And though I like sleeping with my wife, somehow she gets a better night sleep in a separate bed without me kicking her in my sleep all night long. I dont get it....the Running Y will see us many times again over the years. One suggestion for management...Perhaps in the dog rooms they could add some nice touches like dog bowls or pillow or something? If youre bringing your pet, there are no extras so make sure to pack your own bowls.

If I could give this place negative stars I would. Upon my arrival with my fiancé and son we enter our first room and is REAKS of urine. There was hair all over the bathroom floor and sticky cup rings on the beside table. Yes and I’m not the only one who has experienced this urine smell, read the rest of the reviews for yourself. So I go to the desk and politely ask for a new room and they agreed. And then the desk lady asks me “wait have you used anything in the room?” And I said well my fiancé might be showering. And she says “never mind I can’t put you in a new room then because housekeeping is gone for the day” So your really telling me no one here knows how to clean a shower? Once I stood my ground about getting new room they agreed. So we check into our new room which was fine. We go to dinner at the restaurant inside the lodge. Food was cold, nothing great about it. Two entrees was not worth the pricey bill to follow. The next morning at 5 am were woken by the smell of pot covering the whole third floor. I call the desk and tell them we will not be staying here our second night. Also, we had our 12 month old son exposed to this room that had been essentially hotboxed by marijuana. Real nice. I decided to get my pedicure I had booked at the spa before our drive back home. And and hour before my appointment I get a phone call saying “I’m having personal problems can we switch your appointment to two hours later” I said no and that I was leaving after my pedicure, she agreed to come in despite her “personal problems.” So I go to the spa wait 25 mins and fill out my paperwork. The front desk lady at the spa then gets a call from the woman who was supposed to do my pedicure, and now she says her car battery died. So no pedicure for me. More time wasted. They should’ve comped my one night stay but only took 30 dollars off, wow how nice lol. This place is a joke. Everything went wrong that could have.Unclean rooms, staff that cannot keep their attitudes and personal life out of their work life, cold and expensive food for $75. Bachelors smoking out the whole floor. Do not waste your time here.

We had a great time at the Running Y Ranch. Due to COVID 19 concerns we rented a house so we didnt have to mingle with other guests in hallways/elevators of the hotel. The 3BR/2Bath house was great. It even had a hot tub! My family played golf 2 times and they enjoyed it very much. We ate lunch in the hotel restaurant and it was one of the best meals we had all week. The staff were courteous and helpful. This was a great home-base to enjoy Crater Lake National Park and the Klamath Falls outdoor activities. We rented Kayaks from ROE Outfitters and e-bikes from Zacks Bikes in Klamath Falls and enjoyed both experiences. Highly Recommend.

We made reservations for a week of golf & have a good time only to be disappointed when arriving to the hotel. First of all they did not have our room ready upon arrival so we left for two hours and came back, no big deal, but when arriving back to the hotel our room still was not ready so after waiting another 20 minutes we went to our room & this is when you walked thru the door and fumes of urine lingered in the air, mice feces on the balcony & urine in the corner where the AC unit blows. This is not where I want to stay for a lingering, good time. So we canceled.

French toast under cooked and cold, biscuit (single) and gravey small serving. Just called inquiring about a vacation home for a month and the receptionist, Cindy, was condescending, laughed when we told her about an ad we found online regarding a vacation rental through the Running Y (which we’ve stayed at for well over a month before). She was extremely argumentative. We have never received anything but exceptional customer service from everyone at the Running Y Ranch, until her. She definitely left a bad taste in our mouth. She laughed when we told her about the ad, she said she couldn’t find it, she also said “ya that’s our employee rate, you can’t have it at that AND our government rates aren’t even that low”. I have screenshotted this ad. When asked to speak to George (who we usually deal with and who is wonderful), she got an even bigger attitude! I am just in shock! Not a good representation of Running Y Ranch, AT ALL.

I took my wife to the resort for a Mothers Day weekend and spa massage. The entire staff was friendly without being fake. My reservation included a breakfast option that I would highly recommend. The couples massage was my first massage and I had no idea there was a relax mode. My massage therapist, Megan ( not sure of the spelling) made sure I was never uncomfortable, but made sure there was enough therapy that I knew I was worked over the next day. I loved the room and the view from the 3rd floor onto the golf course was beautiful. I will be back soon for a longer stay and take advantage of the other amenities they offer. We came to attend a wedding that had been canceled due to Covid-19. Even though the event had been canceled at the Running Y we had planned on staying anyway and participating in the wedding elsewhere. Upon arrival we were notified that our reservation had been canceled as part of the wedding party even though we had reserved separately, had different names than the party and had never received any notice. Luckily the lovely receptionist found us accommodations for the next two nights. Even if we didn’t get the suite we had reserved, we at least had somewhere to stay. After the wedding the next day the bride and groom had gotten a room at the Running Y for the night and we came back to celebrate with drinks. We were told that we couldn’t come in for drinks without a reservation even though the interior tables were empty and so was half of the outside seating. We were allowed to sit in the lobby. So we decided to all try to meet for breakfast the next day at the restaurant. We came down 2 hours before breakfast was over and again we’re turned away. We had been in both days prior without any reservation needed, nor were told that we needed one for breakfast. When we asked if we could just sit outside at the fire to drink coffee we again saw that all tables were empty except 2 and none of the upper interior tables were seated. It appears that they don’t even want customers and it was not due to COVID restrictions because customers were seated right next to each other. When we did eat there the two days prior our orders got forgotten and came out cold. We are supposed to come back next year for the wedding and after this experience we won’t be back.

We enjoy staying at places like this a few times a year to recharge our batteries. This has been anything but relaxing, the staff is overwhelmed, stressed, rude and completely clueless. When asked to speak to a manager we were told there is no manager on staff which seems unlikely but judging by the state of the dirty grounds and cold tasteless food entirely possible. We will not be coming back and sure as hell wont be referring any of our family, friends, co workers or neighbors to the Running Y Ranch anytime soon.

This place is very beautiful. My husband and I came here for a weekend getaway for my birthday and the staff is friendly and its just absolutely gorgeous here. The reason why it didnt get all stars is because they tell you there is all kinds of things to do for every season we came March 23rd its cold and snowy still so there was not much for us to do unless we wanted to freeze our tails off. The food at the restaurant inside the hotel was not good at all and way over priced. The cooks didnt cook my hamburger all the way but our waitress handled it very well and we left the restaurant Happy. So if you want to go to a place just to relax then the running y ranch resort is for you I then would highly recommend it. but if you are looking to do activities then I suggest you find a different place to stay or you are gonna have to travel far just to have any fun. Another thing is every thing is the running y ranch community closes super duper early.

I would never recommend getting married at this Resort. We had plans to get married here in June and followed all the guidelines of the contract and placed the required $1000 deposit down. However, now in the midst of the pandemic and all of the uncertainty, we had to cancel our wedding and the Resort is refusing to give us our deposit back, despite a current order that doesn’t allow people to gather. They think it’s perfectly ethical and appropriate to wait until the month of the wedding to “see how things are going” but yet, no services are even open that would allow us to prepare for our wedding day. They don’t care about making your day special, they care about money, it is very clear.

Recent two night stay. Only place open to eat is the restaurant inside the main lodge. Checking in the first day we found out they had no reservations available at all that evening so made a reservation for the following evening. We were told that the only time we could get a reservation for outside seating was at 5:00 as they had a large party that had booked the outdoors later. When we showed up for our reservation the following evening we were told they would not be able to seat us outside due to the large party they were expecting. We complained stating we SPECIFICALLY requested outdoor seating when making the reservation and verified it after it was made to make sure it would be outside due to Covid. No way were they going to seat us outside it was inside or nothing. We were not the only ones that this happened to as we saw a party of three about a half hour later who had the same issue who ended up getting seated by the fire pit (I guess we didn’t complain enough). An hour and a half after our reservation time the “big party” tables were still empty. They should have a way of advising guests ahead of time there may be no in-house dining available (and there are no other eating establishments close by) although you do have the option of taking your $30 entree to go to eat on your bed. Beware, probably should book a reservation for dinner when reserving a room!

We also had to clean off the patio furniture before we could sit down outside on the deck which was a bummer, but worth the effort! We liked our deer visitors!

The room and golfing experience was great. I realize this was during a reopening from virus time but extremely under staffed and bar manager was rude . Food was bad

I like the place its nice but the bathrooms really do need updating sadly it felt like I was in an old folks home the bathroom shower was probably for a one-star place also the shower head was definitely not that great but overall a decent place

Beautiful area surrounded by trees. The pool and spa were enjoyable. The restaurant patio looked nice too but we did not dine in. The room was extremely outdated and dirty. Phone wasnt working as we tried to contact the front desk about the shower curtain which smelled like old, moldy sweat. The odor was so awful I gagged. We went down to the front desk to ask if we could switch rooms but they said they were fully booked. This property could be quite pleasant if they just updated their rooms and paid attention to details.

Extremely slow service perhaps due to CV19. They dont bring you what you ordered or how you asked it to be prepared at the restaurants. They rent dented clubs at the signature golf course.

We stopped here on our way down to Nevada. Wonderful place, we wanted to longer than our one night. I had a massage while I was there, which was great. Very dog friendly!

Great resort hotel experience. A few details on the website did not match at the hotel. This included the pet policy. The website says pets receive: water bowl, treats, fresh linen and a water bottle. I received none of these. When I asked about this at the front desk no one seemed to know about this. There was also a door in my suite that was locked that no one at the front desk seemed to know where it went, or what I was refereeing to. After having a employee from the front desk follow me to the room we both found out it was for roof access. The menu for the hotel restaurant in my room did not match what was on the web site either. It was missing a few dishes and the entire blue zone items were not there. The in house restaurant does has good food. However when ordering food for my room I requested it be placed on actual plates. All four orders I placed over two days came in boxes, except my desserts. Again this would not matter if it was not written on their website that food would be placed on dishes. Overall this room was clean, quite and my stay was satisfactory. But for the price and the pet fee I did expect what was advertised, and I feel that fell a little short. It is still the nicest hotel in the area.

The vacation house that we stayed in was very nice and well equipped, except for one issue that was a significant problem: the beds. While they are undoubtedly very expensive, the mattresses were the type with very thick memory foam which sink beneath your body, creating a hammock like cavity beneath you. While this may be comfortable while lying on your back, it makes it impossible to sleep on your side or stomach, which some of us do. Both beds, upstairs and downstairs are like this, so I barely slept the first night, and the second night I had to sleep on the floor.Mattresses like this may be desirable for some people who sleep only on their back, but I would recommend that beds in rental houses should be of a more conventional type that everyone would be able to sleep on. I would not be able to return to this rental house because of this. Also, the service at the Ruddy Duck restaurant was inexplicably slow.

Positive: Hotel restaurant (Ruddy Duck) server was exceptional. Negative: Resort fee per night is a terrible hidden cost. TV in the room a bit small.

Very nice accommodations and bar/restaurant, with a beautiful spa, pool and sauna facility plus outdoor trails, volleyball and tennis courts- even ice skating in the winter. Pet friendly hotel, popular with dog owners. This place is a little Xanadu in the South of Oregon.
