Loved seeing this. Especially now today when I dont feel America is as united. This is on a street corner with a community building behind it and then a large park behind it. There is street parking nearby available. It was great to walk around this trying to see what states you could see, even some other countries sent in stuff too and it was cool to see how each state represented something different or had a different perspective of what to send in. One of my favorite monuments because it is real and authentic and not a formal uniform thing. It is everyone coming together as one, showing the uniqueness of each.
This is a unique quirky bit of Florida history. It is worth spending a bit of time walking around and seeing what you can find.
Its pretty cool to see. Nice area to visit and enjoy with the kids for a while. Keep in mind that theres not much shade and playground equipment gets super hot.
30 years in Kissimmee and it still gives us Beauty the history and the love
Some much to look at. Very interesting history.
Its a really nice place to spend time with family and friends.
Enjoyed the first visit there with friends. Fun to hunt for various states as a race.
Nice monument and beautiful park.
Very interesting to see the different states represented on this artistic monument.
Beautiful exhibits and great employees
Very nice to see the origin of the stones and the park is amazing. Has very nice waterways and areas for lounging. Very clean place.
THE SURROUNDING AREA IS BEAUTIFUL
It is an interesting monument made from bricks from all over the worldThe Monument of States was conceived as a symbol of American unity after the attack on Pearl Harbor. It was built by volunteers, with donations of stone that came from around the world, including a rock from President Franklin D. Roosevelt. The only downside is the parking ....hard to find. You can park across the street if you can keep an eye on your car and not going too far
Its so serene here. Very close to the lakefront and lots of shady spots to just sit and have lunch and read. Nice way to spend a Saturday afternoon.
Downtown Kissimmee is Historico
This place is awesome! Is a most see destination when youre on Central Florida area. The near by Lake is beautiful and the area is well maintained.
Cool to see in person.
Great place. To see the water and park and also you get to see a monument statue of the states
Located in a beautiful section of downtown Kissimmee with surrounding lake, parks, splash pad for kids and walking trails. My kids enjoyed finding different states and rocks on the monument
A true part of Kissimmees history. The Lakefront area beyond this historic marker is beautifully developed.
This is a really cool monument in my hometown. It is a totally cool monument. It consists of a bunch of license plates for vehicles from all of the 50 United States. Its really tall and very Interesting to look at. If you are someone who likes out of the ordinary places and things to see then this is a really neat thing for you to add to the list of must see monuments.
LOVE the history of such a remarkable endeavor! So glad we stopped by to see!
Very interesting piece of art. Went on a rainy day, bet it looks better on a sunny one.
Beautiful monument! Also a great place to rest a bit after catching all those pokemon. The cement gets mighty cold so be prepared for a chilly rear until youre a bench warmer. KLP closes at 10pm and is being enforced by the law these days. This area isnt part of that boundary.
Its just the monument .. theres a park really nice behind it with a mini lighthouse, you can bring your pet, theres a hut, and the history community house. If your in the area then stop by if not near by not worth a day trip.
A really cool and unique monument.
Very unique! Interesting and fun to find the different locations shown.
Great place to get some pictures
Its a really nice place to spend time with family especially at lakefront
This is an often overlooked monument around Kissimmee. It is really tall and built in what looks like concrete, and is located on a corner street around Kissimmees downtown. It is walking distance from the regional park next to the lake. The monument has objects collected from many states around the country, from pine cones to pieces of wood and other objects stuck to the monuments sides, labeled from which state they are from. Its a good quick spot to visit something quirky in the city.
Very nice place, friendly wildlife, clean, sunny, and nice walking areas.
Stopped for few minutes while on our walk. Very interesting
A fun place to take a break. Has 2 outdoor parks, splash pad, and concessions.
Relaxing place.
Its really nice and its right by the big Park
Cool tribute
A unique spot with a rock from every state and many countries (submitted by presidents, governors, dignitaries and rulers). A cool point of culture in downtown Kissimmee.
