Nice course, needs organization though. Saturday afternoon, no rangers present & group of 8 in front of us! Had to pick up mid fairway to advance.
Course was in tip top shape! Played with my son and we had a great time! The cart girl.even let him order breakfast sandwiches from the restaurant and brought them out to us 3 holea later!! He said they were fantastic (they were go e so fast I didnt even see them much less taste them!)
Great local course for me, nicely maintained, and friendly staff. Always a pleasure :)Have played probably 30 times here since may, no complaints. And the course is in awesome shape :)
The course was great as usual but when I asked for my own cart all I received was lip service from the young kid trying to tell me who and how I should social distance. Then he explains power went out and there were not enough carts yet. Im a laid back guy but dont expect lip service. To top it off the twosome we let play through had their own cart. He could have easily said I can bring you another cart later, not the lip service. Food was also great! Cart lady was awesome too. Just a young lip servive provider had to ruin it.....
Golf course was in much better shape since our last visit. Greens were in great shape and our group had a great time. After the round we ate at the Falcons Nest and the burgers were, as always, great. Gonna come back soon!
This is not a full review, due to the course being overseeded. We arrived with the surprise of being told that the front nine was closed. They told us we could play the back nine twice. This would of been my first round at this course, I didnt want to remember it like this. We decided not to play and play somewhere else. The course should really do a better job alerting their guests before they show up to play. Just giving golfers a heads up to call the course before committing without knowing about course conditions!
Great layout... but for $64 plus tax on Saturday morning definately not worth it.Course needs to be manicured ...greens horribly slow.. the place looks like it has financial issues...tarp on clubhouse roof ...The dirtiest mens restroom locker restroom you will ever see, actually gives gas station restroom a run for its money..Cart girl not very friendly, just blah, not to mention place was dead and she came around only twice. It was hot.
Course is in great shape. Staff is very friendly and helpful
Very beautiful course will play again...
The first thing that I noticed is how courteous and professional all of the young men are that greet you when you pull up to the clubhouse. They handled my golf clubs and parked my car for me. When it was time for our tee time the clubs were on the golf cart. The driving range and practice facility was excellent. The clubhouse, Pro Shop, and restaurant are also very nice. The golf course was a lot of fun and in great condition. The men in the Pro Shop could not have been more welcoming and seemed to really appreciate our business. I cant wait to get back here again.
Course is always in great shape. Great job during this pandemic. Played many times this year.
As 4 ladies, we played this course for 3 days in March 2020. After reading the reviews, I decided to give this course a try. Everything about the experience was 5 stars. The men handling the pro shop were organized, courteous, and prepared for our arrival. Tee times were prompt. And the pace of play was consistent. The bunkers were well groomed. The carts and cart paths were in good repair. The greens and fairways were well maintained. The practice areas were sufficient and the pro shop made sure we had practice balls each day. And the price for a round and a cart did not break the bank. We are definitely returning to this course on our next trip to Orlando. What a gem of a course!
Friend had a wedding here. Very cool venue.
Came down in the beginning of February with a group of co-workers to get out of New England and to play golf for a few days. One of the courses that we selected to play was Falcons Fire. The layout is very cool and the holes are beautiful. Well maintained club house and surrounding landscape. When you drive up the entrance you cant help but get excited to play! My only knock would be the greens. If you are going to charge peak prices for winter time the greens should be in much better shape. We all agreed that this course was excellent and we would recommend this course to others coming into the area.
Course is amazing as usual, I highly recommend playing here!!!! Challenging holes and the greens are always in great shape too!!!!!!BUT the service is awful. My group had a 3:39 tee time, 3 friends from out of town and myself, we tee-ed off on time and were having a great experience. Got to the 4th hole and everyone was out of beverages, no course supplied water coolers out there due to Covid, figured the cart service would be around shortly. We were wrong. Played another hole, no beverage service cart. I called the clubhouse to confirm there was an active beverage cart, he assured me that “She’s out there making the rounds” Needless to say we made the turn without water or beer.My friends went into the bar to purchase water and some beer. She refused them service and said “The bar is closed and I can’t serve you because there’s a banquet.” I was in disbelief!! So I walked up to the bar and asked if I could buy some beer, she said with obvious regret in her voice “Let me see if my register is still open....Yeah it is.” I asked to purchase a 12 pack of bud light and also asked why we didn’t see her on the course? She replied “I was out there all day!!“ I simply replied “Cool but we sure didn’t see ya.” She replies ”Well, I don’t know what to tell you.. I have to go home sometime and I saw you before you teed off.. So...” Confused by this response, I thanked her, signed my receipt and left to finish my round. This employee obviously does not like her job in the service industry,. I am a furloughed bartender, seeing her unhappiness struck me because a lot of us in the industry are still out of work and would love to be able to have a steady job again.I’m not looking for restitution. I’m not trying to get her fired. I simply wanted to let everyone know. You’re better off sneaking in whatever beverages you may want or need because you will actively be avoided by beverage service. 18 holes with barely enough water to drink... is ridiculous. I’m glad I brought a gallon with me.
Great course and staff. Best burger in town
Had tee time booked for over a week for 1117. Arrived and paid for the round then informed that there was a tournament going on and that our tee time may be a little delayed. After waiting till 1150 we asked for a refund which we got and then went to Disney LBV golf course and got a walk up tee time for the same price.
One of the better golf courses I’ve been to. Was able to bring my wife and daughter to ride along with me and they were very accommodating. The second we pulled up they parked our vehicle, brought my clubs to the golf cart, and had us all ready to go. During the 18 holes the food/drink cart came around several times. Once we finished they cleaned my clubs, brought them to the vehicle, and brought our vehicle to us. The staff was very polite and help-full. Being a Veteran, I greatly appreciate the support they gave while we were there. I recommend this course to anyone from a seasoned golfer to beginner. Course layout was fun, everything was pretty straight but could still give someone difficult shots.
A little pricey, but it is a great course. I loved the digital pad in the carts. The staff inside the store were awesome. However, the cart guy at the end completely ruined it for me. “George” was rude for absolutely no reason. I’m not sure what his problem was, but it was bad enough for that our foursome will not be returning.
Booked Falcons Fire because it was close by where we were staying. Had a great experience all around. The staff was the best, everyone we came in contact with was helpful and friendly. The range was nice and they have a chipping / putting area with bunkers. Great layout with tees for all playing abilities. I liked the fact that there were holes with both wide fairways and those with tight landing spots with water and bunkers guarding it. Just a real fun course to play. As mentioned before on one review, there were spots on the greens where there was topdressing (sand) but it didnt interfere with the hole locations. We came back to FF later in the day to hit more balls on the range. Worth the visit if you get the chance.
Beautifully presented golf course in Kissimmee, although the fairways were really wet the course was pristine. The greens were a good size and tricky to read. Pro shop and restaurant were nice and food smelled amazing, and staff only too happy to help. Stick this on your to do list guys, cheap golf on a lovely course doesnt get any better. Also they do rentals, Callaway rogue, very nice.
What a great course and is in great shape. Very long course for ladies but is still a fun course. Fairways and greens were great. Lots of water and bunkers.Saw turkeys on the front 9 and a cotton mouth on back 9.I would recommend this course.
Really enjoyed this course and all the natural surroundings
The layout of this course is awesome but it’s clear they’re operating on a tight budget. Sparse grass on tee boxes and around greens. Fairways in generally good shape, but the greens are in dreadful condition.Update 5/18: I played again on 5/17 and the greens are in significantly better condition that a month prior. Still some work to do on them in places, and tee boxes in some places are rough but it looks like they’re addressing the problems!
Played this course last year and it was phenomenal. Staff was great and still remains great! Went today and the course was absolutely disgusting from a smell perspective. A stench like landfill or pig farm, never experienced anything like it and it was at every turn. In conjunction with that the greens were Horrendous.. bumpy, patchy.. irregular speeds. At $89 for 18 holes one expects better conditions and if the stink was because you recently fertilized with manure? there are better smelling fertilizers than pig or chicken guys... seriously!!
Just played this course and loved every hole! Great layout, challenging greens, and bunkers will come into play if you mis-hit the ball! Definitely worth the money! We will be back!
Awesome place. Very friendly staff
Very friendly staff played this course yesterday for the 1st time and I really liked it plenty of fluffy lies and intermediate speed green. 100% recommended
Played here in mid May. Nice layout, courteous staff. I was disappointed in a nearly total lack of Covid precautions. No one in the clubhouse was wearing a mask nor did the bag boys who took our bags. When we asked not to ride double, (something every other local course I’ve played) we were told there would be an extra fee.Golf is the one escape we can enjoy during these difficult times but I won’t be returning to Falcons Fire until the Covid Virus is completely eradicated.
Had a very disappointing day (Sunday, 2/9). Round took 5 hours and 20 minutes. We waited EVERY shot. Always three groups per hole .... so it was apparent they allowed too many players on the course. And ..... never once saw a ranger. I guess if you load the course up like that, you don’t really need one. In addition, the greens were slow and not in good condition. Some bare spots and “creep” from the fringe onto the putting surface. And many, many ball marks not repaired. I liked the course lay out, and there were some great holes.Overall, the overall experience was disappointing, especially for the money.
One of the best courses I have played! Friendly and attentive staff.
Very fun course to play!! Some of the greens were a little dry but overall good course
The golf course is back to its former great shape. The golf staff have gone above and beyond to insure my foursome had a great time. Cant wait to come back. Thanks Jason for your courtesy.
The staff are very helpful and welcoming. The course is in good condition even though there has been a lot of rain.Hired clubs this time although it was a little expensive the quality of the clubs was good. ( Callaway )Played twice this time here and hoping for another game before I leave.Hopefully I can have free club hire for the good review
Friendly staff! Golf course was in great shape.
Little disappointed that a $3 environmental fee is added to the advertised green fee. Other than that the course is in very good condition and I had a great round and day of golf.
After driving 2 hours to play this highly recommended course we were very disappointed, the condition of the course was terrible from the tee box to the greens. There was no starter, ranger anywhere to be seen, play was backed up and very slow on every hole. Again, very disappointing...
There carts are not allowed up to the club stand and it makes no sence the greens are rough lots of bold spots the fairways are ok.
What the heck happened to this course? Played it last Sunday (4/5) and was shocked. Mold, weeds, and bare spots on green; dirt tee boxes, burnt out fairways, basically it looked like one of your run-of-the-mill munis....It used to be one of the plushest best-manicured courses in central Florida that i had no problem recommending to out of towners... can no longer say that.
January 2020, Currently the course is over watered and the greens are super slow, patchy grass and not in great condition.Update: just played this weekend and the greens were in good shape, rolling fast and true. Unique experience to play on northern grass in Florida. Course was good shape..fairway and roughs were perfect.
Still a great course for me. Well maintained, great staff.
Bit of a walk to the driving range, but the bucket sizes and prices were fair. Pay and get code in pro shop. The course looked beautiful. Very nice pro shop. Valet parking available, but not mandatory.
Very nice golf course.Enjoyed our round there. You might also get to see a alligator or two basking in sun by the lake.
Great course for a great price on golf now. The course is beautifully maintained with some really pretty holes. The greens are in excellent shape but are fast fast. Would definitely play again.Be advised that there is a helicopter tour business basically right next door. They fly over very often. Not a big deal but almost impossible to ignore. Still had a wonderful time.
On vacation & had a good time out here. Course has a great layout, staff offers great service. Good tee boxes, nice looking fairways & greens! Only issue it rain over night and course drainage is not so good so it was cart path only which did make round take longer to finish. But would love to reply when weather is better, but a must play course.
Staff is awesome, course is in bad shape. All three stars are because of the staff. The course from the tee boxes, to the fairways to the greens are in bad shape. Tons of sand on the greens, which no one told me about or is it on the website. I would not have gone if I had known that information. The fairways are pure mud. Way to much water on them. Tee boxes are also in bad shape. Not sure if the recent rains had anything to do with it, but another course I went to was not even close to this water wise. Overall not sure I would come back to the course, I think I would wait to see other reviews talking about the course conditions.
Today 7-22-17 we arrive at 900 for a tee time at 930 after paying in the pro-shop we were told it was car pat only and it was running late to go out and play that information would be helpful Tuesday when we did the T-time. We started playing at 10 and it was so slow that we were forced out by a thunderstorm at 1:30pm after only playing 9 holes. Customer service is good we got a rain check, golf facility looks good the course is okay not a big deal.
Fair price. I played when it is super busy and there was no one managing the starting of the course. Ended up having a discussion with the group who was supposed to be behind us and tried to jump ahead. Pace was slow for the first nine then evened out. The finishing stretch is a solid group of holes. Course was in okay shape, greens were a little beat up due to amount of traffic.
Nice combo of rolling hills, water & trees...
Nice layout super friendly Staff
Pretty good. Kinda easy
What can I say about Falcons Fire GC outside of the fact that it is an all-around fantastic experience. My wife and I were looking all over the Orlando area for a place to tie the knot, and we never looked anywhere else after finding this gem. The ceremony was elegant and beautiful, and the scenery was incredible. The cocktail hour and reception in the clubhouse location was outstanding and looked like something from a movie.Of course, none of this was possible without the amazing Lani Lyons, whos in charge of events at FFGC. From start to finish, she was completely on top of it. Always one step ahead of my wife and I to ensure we had the perfect day set up and ready to go. She was super easy to work with and always on point when anything came up. She made the entire process seamless and stress-free, which is exactly what you want from a wedding coordinator. I honestly dont have the time in my life to express how great she was to work with, and how blessed we were to have her involved in our special day.The prices were very reasonable, the food was delicious (everyone agreed) and the ambiance was unforgettable. We were allowed to do a helicopter entrance, which blew away the guests at the wedding. They even granted us a free foursome of golf a couple days before the wedding, so I could enjoy my last few precious moments with my friends and family ahead of the nuptials. The course is awesome and in great condition. Just an overall stunning experience, and would recommend this spot for ANYONE that is in the Orlando/Kissimmee area.Photo creds: Katelynn Carlson Photography
Great golf course, everything about was good! Definitely will be on list when I come back! Thanks Matt!
Greens on scale 1-10. 2. $100 a round and what a disappointment.Staff were excellent customer service and you feel special
One of the nicest courses we have played. The pro shop and restaurant were also very nice. All employees we encountered were very pleasant. We have received a lot of rain the past week and the only bad part was cart paths only. On a hot August day that was tiring but expected because the fairways were soaked. A guy we were playing with said he plays there a lot and its usually a wet course so maybe they need better drainage. Other than that the fairways and greens were in great shape
Fairways in excellent shape but greens were hard and wouldnt hold the ball, plus there were bare spots
Great shape. Friendly Staff. Fun course to play. Pace is good, playing again.
Liked the course layout but the greens were not in great condition
Great course, great greens and friendly service
Golf:The course is in great shape, the greens are a bit fast but fair and the holes have character, it’s definitely a very enjoyable course and not only do I recommend it but will be back. The staff:These two folks made it a great experience, first it was Matt on the phone, I was flying solo and Matt was very friendly and accommodating, got me on the course right away and he’s the reason I played this course solely on the phone interaction.Scotia, she was amazing, she made my day, she was very very friendly, I would come back just because of her.I appreciate great service and I’ll be talking about her as one of the best people’s person I’ve ever met.Thank you Falcon Fire.
Great tract well kept. Good pace of play, worth having in rotation when you visit Orlando
I dropped my business card in their drawing bowl and won a free 18 hole round with 1 hour of lessons from John Huges! Wow!I’ve always loved this course! The staff, facilities, and course never disappoint. Everyone is friendly. The course is gorgeous and well maintained. The facilities are first class. If you’re a resident or visitor to Orlando, make this a must play experience. Thanks to Jason and John for a great day!
Nice staff good track
Have played several area courses (Hawks Landing, Celebration, both ChampionsGate courses, etc) and I can say that if you are a fan of true, fast greens this is the place for you. Fun test of golf and affordable for the area. Only negative is having to pay for range balls, but this is pretty standard for courses at this price point in the area. Will definitely come back
Greens needed some work, but overall nice course. Probably not quite worth the money though.
Beauty of a golf course...
Very accommodating and professional staff. Course had a few browned out patches on the greens bus nothing that interfered with putting. $30 after 2pm rate is a steal.
Nice layout and beautiful scenery!!! excellent conditions, greens were slow
Played the afternoon of 4/1/19 ---- was in Orlando for a conference at the Orange County Convention Center and had the afternoon free. Brought my clubs along in hopes of being able to get in a nice round. Turned out that Mother Nature initially had other plans, a big blob of rain out in the Gulf of Mexico was on radar all morning long moving toward Orlando. Mercifully the rain dissipated as it was coming in to Orlando and I was able to tee off as a single at 4:15. The rain kept everyone else away so I didnt see anyone else on the course until I made the turn. They let me play through after #11 par 3, and I had the remainder of the back 9 to myself. 2 hours for 18 holes, it was like playing summer golf but it was 70 degrees! Course was in amazing shape (turf on a few of the tee-boxes was a bit spotty, but lets be honest, that has ZERO impact on the overall experience). Greens were fast and rolled exceptionally true. Many of the greens had multiple levels which were impossible to see from mid-iron range, but made for some challenging multi-break putts. Fairways were impeccable and generous. Rough was pretty thick but manageable. LOTS of sand throughout entire course, but bunkers were in pristine condition and fair to play out of (and I hit a lot of them). Im an average weekend hacker - I feel like I played pretty decent and shot a 93, should have been 89 but I hit into water on #2 and #13. Good shots were rewarded and poor shots were fairly punished. $35 for the twilight rate was a steal. 100% recommend this course, I will absolutely play it again.
Really lovely course
The course was generally in good condition. However, the tee boxes had a lot of sand and divots. Greens were under repair, patchy, and sandy. As others have pointed out, $100 is pricey for a course that feels like a municipal golf course.
Good course. A little pricey even by Orlando standards. Overall the course was in great shape. Should have been more like $50/round than $75/round based on location and proximity to other resort courses for similar prices
Pro shop is nicely equipped. Driving range had plenty of grass to hit from. There were a couple of reasons that I didnt give 5 stars1st one is because on some greens there were bare spots in some places. Second reason was because some greens had crabgrass and were still recovering from being punched.
It’s a great, challenging layout. You have to hit shots here. And great value for the rates. Would love to see this course in pristine condition.
Really like this course. Good conditions and reasonable prices. Friendly staff. Will come back next time in Orlando.
Nice course, beautiful layout! Moderate cost for play.
A four hour round on a beautifully designed and meticulously maintained course in the high tourist area of Orlando? Look no further. Generous fairways, strategically placed bunkers and greens that role true will satisfy the low handicapper and boogie golfer alike.
Decent golf course. I went in July and it had been raining the day before. The course has poor drainage so the course was wet. Which meant no carts on the course. This is a large golf course so it sucked walking to your ball. Not the golf courses fault but still sucked.
I like it, back nine is fun and challenging
Love playing this course beautiful and a little challenging. Great clubhouse with great employees.
Course is in great shape. Greens ran very fast. Very enjoyable experience.
We come to Orlando from our home in Ohio once a year and spend a week playing multiple courses. This is the only one that we make sure we play every year. Its always in great shape and this year is no exception. I consider this a MUST PLAY course if you are ever in the Orlando area.
Great track to play! Pretty challenging!
Awesome golf course. Greens running a about 12-13 on stunt meter I think . Friendly staff. Not expensive to play. Would highly recommend
