Have been to a number of comedy clubs up and down the West Coast. The atmosphere here is warm, welcoming, and with great service. They also keep the place very clean. The food here is great. I eat extremely healthy, and if you do too, you will find stuff on this clubs menu that you will enjoy. Oh yeah, the comics here are fantastic too.
Good comics, great friendly staff. Decadent desserts, VERY reasonable prices. Only problem is parking because its in a strip mall other businesses fill spots fast.
The stand-up comedy show I took my girlfriend to see was great! However, their seating arrangement is first-come, first-serve and a waiter came up and told both of us that we needed to buy a drink each and food in order to stay. I was furious because this was supposed to be a date, and they could have explained it on the website when I was placing my ticket order months in advance. I simply will not go again to spend $10+ on a drink and even more for a so-so meal. The service staff was not even polite about it either.
The club is now permanently closed in Kirkland but it was excellent when open. They are moving to Seattle so it will be better in its reincarnation.
Great food great performances. And wonderful staff. The place to be for a good time.
Anytime my husband and I have a night off from our daughter (when my parents have her and spoil her) we both say, Hey, how about a comedy show! Laughs Comedy Spot is less than 10 minutes from our house and it is ALWAYS a good show! Even if I dont know the comedian that is headlining, I still laugh until I almost pee my pants.
Great comedy line up, drink menu and fair food and prices. Nice, clean club with friendly service. I will be back.
Hilarious and casual! A great place for an evening out without spending too much cash :)
The funniest joke at Laughs Comedy Spot is the establishment itself. Okay, so that isnt true. Erin Foley was actually quite funny and a joy to watch. If it hadnt been so dank, overpriced, and podunk I might have found it that way. Lets start with some basics. We got there as soon as they opened (6:30 PM) to get good seating for the show. My buddy left to use the restroom facilities and came back and told me there wasnt any toilet paper in the mens room. Obviously seeing as how we were the first people there, someone hadnt used it all before we arrived. It was simply just not checked. Good thing there were paper towels I guess.$5 a bottle for Budweiser. $5 tap. Pricey, but alright. If everything else is good no big issue there. Friday night after all.You take good chairs for granted until you are stuck in a bad one. After about 45 minutes I realized my butt was incredibly sore. I felt my chair and realized its because I was basically sitting on wood. The padding was so worn out that the floor would have been more comfortable. By the time I realized the dire situation I was in, the place had filled up. However I was in luck, there were three or four empty chairs at the front of the stage that were unfilled. I was going to grab one until I looked at them. Dirty, stained and visibly just as worn out in padding as the one I was sitting in. How often does one actually deeply LOOK at the chairs in any establishment? Very rarely. Usually only if theres an issue. Im thinking, here I am paying $5 a beer and they have this talent in from LA and they cant even be bothered to replace or clean their chairs once in a decade? Shameful. The service was adequate if you are accustomed to bare minimum. Nothing was particularly bad about it, simply that it was curt, short, & busy to the point where your glass would often hover toward empty even while sipping it slowly.Speaking of $5 beer (cheap beer). You would think that for a steep price you would get a full beer to the top or near it. That there wouldnt be 1 of empty space from the top. You would be mistaken.Bottom line, its priced and presented beyond what it actually delivers to you. And thats too bad. The comedy was fine. I just wish I could have enjoyed it.
Great place for omedy. Chicken flatbread their best dish.
Great local spot with plenty of parking and a fun assortment of touring comedians. The best shows Ive seen have been Dave Coulier, Mark Maron, and Zoltan Kaszas. There are always one or two local comedians who open the shows and that is cool to see the new talent. The food and drinks are pretty good too, with great waitstaff and a funny owner. The club has a great layout and has by far the best e-mail list Ive seen from a Kirkland business, with lots of info about upcoming shows and generous ticket giveaways for birthdays. This is by far my favorite comedy club in the Seattle area, and I look forward to more shows in the future!
The comedians we saw were very funny, but we were unfortunately hangry by the time they got on stage. We showed up for appetizers (not worth the quality or quantity for the price - maybe the burgers are better?), and waited for a VERY long time to eat. Everything is expensive and you are forced to order two items per person (minimum about $8 for two cheap beers). You may be laughing but bring your wallet and dont expect much for food!P.S. Take note of its a special comic that night - they cost more and you cant use your LivingSocial/Groupon/etc. deals.
We love Laughs! Great comedy and really nice people!
Sadly the comedy spot closed in June 2016. :(
Wish it was still open
This comedy club really need to change up its opening acts more frequently. Or the comedians need to come up with new material.
If there is a Cheers of Comedy Clubs in the Seattle area this is it!
