The natural beauty of this area is shown in the attached photographs. The park itself is well maintained, clean, and the staff helpful and flexible in regards to finding or moving to the best spot. We like that the park is not close to major cities and a little bit isolated. The only negatives are some spots on one loop have steep grades from the pad to the fire pit and picnic table. And in that same loop, the noise from truck traffic across the lake was a bit distracting.

The staff at the office was super kind and informative. Everything was perfect. We were the only people in our loop as we decided to tent camp. The roads are a little narrow in that section and forewarning, the tent sights are on a pretty good incline but the pad is flat. The only thing I wished they had was better lighting at the bathhouse. I feel like that was a lil unsafe

A beautiful little State Park. Heavily wooded with a variety of trees but mainly pines. Bathhouses seem to be brand new and are sparkling clean. Office staff is exceptionally nice and hospitable. The entire park is very clean and well kept. Majority of the camping sites have a view of the gorgeous Lake Greeson. Most of these sites are located on two main ridges that run through the park. And while this offers a gorgeous view, some may find it a minor inconvenience. For me its just part of landscape and personality of this cozy retreat.

We were at site A25 it was a nice quiet site at the end of the loop. #’s 23 and 24 have better access to the water but we enjoyed 25. I really can’t praise the camp team enough the showers and restrooms are spotless and well maintained they were cleaned every morning. There is a highway about a quarter of a mile by way of kayak so the traffic noise is a little loud, but it “didn’t hinder our sleep”. The fall colors still a couple of weeks away but the water was nice and warm. Weather couldn’t have been better.

Nice park! I was in spot 100 and it was 59 meters from the lake. Spot are staggered and about 30 - 40 feet apart. You should take the ride out to little Missouri Falls. The drive looks shady but just follow the signs to get there and you wont regret it. My GPS got me started on the route but half way there took me down a dirt road. MOST OF THE ROAD TO THE FALLS IS A MIX OF GRAVEL AND DIRT, NOT ALL DIRT. Its also no single lanes along the route. The route is actually a lane and a half not smaller.

Daisy St. Park. Its our go to place to get away from our hectic schedules. Its not the most breathtaking place but theres something special and comfortable about Daisys St. Park. Theres a playground, which our kids enjoy so much. The lake is great to fish if you know where the fish are. There is one day picnic areas by the water and fire pits with wood around to use to start your fire. Unfortunately, not many people take advantage of these great public recreational opportunities, while at the same time getting away from the crowds is a blessing to help you clear your mind and spend time with God,family, friends and nature!

Exceptionally clean bathhouses and campsites. Beautifully dark at night. Peaceful with nice views. The only drawback that I could find is that most of the sites have the fire pit and picnic areas down a somewhat steep hill from the camper pad. They also do not have any park stickers at the visitors center(and reported not to be getting any) but you can get your passport stamped.

Super clean restrooms and showers. Texas state parks are never this clean. Not even close. So why not 5 stars? Many of the spaces are narrow making it difficult to position my SMALL 5th wheel and be able to open the slides. Also, the black top is so far above the ground it is a fall hazard when entering and exiting my camper.

Daisy State Park is a super clean, well run facility. The staff and rangers are friendly and helpful. Lots to do here for all ages. Hiking, boating, swimming. The facilities are well maintained. Water and electric are available at the campsites. There is a dump station free for registered guests. Others may use it but for a small fee. The campsites are situated well above the lake and the views here are beautiful.

I used to come here twice a year when I was a kid, many, many moons ago. The best thing about my recent visit was that it seemingly hadnt changed, although I didnt camp this time, just came in for a photoshoot. The park was clean and well-maintained, the lake sparkling clear, and the few patrons I saw-Id say the park was at 15% capacity-were sociable and not at all rowdy. Great place to fish, camp, see a few deer, and although not as hilly as some of its further north counterparts, a joy to hike as well.

Review №25

The park is clean and the lake is beautiful. There are no full hookups and no grey tank draining allowed. The Rangers are friendly but are very particular about where you can park and there is not sufficient overflow parking provided so if you have several vehicles expect issues with parking. If you have a boat there are not many places you can park. The campsites are challenging to back into. Terrain is steep so there is a lot of retaining walls and there are no prepared trails for access to the lake. Some sites have the picnic table and lounging areas are on the wrong side of the camper.

I cant say enough about this amazing place. Im not sure whats better how great the views are or how great the people are we have been coming here for 4 years now and see many of the same faces. Everything is affordably priced. Great for a family outing. Even the primative sites have a very clean accessible bathroom/shower within 50ish yards. Check out many of the areas hidden gems while yout here!

Great park with great staff. Campsites down by the lake so you can go swimming anytime and an ATV trail entry point right outside the camp ground you can ride to and from, twice a day from your campsite. Quiet time is at 10pm, which adds to the appeal as well. This park should be your go to park for everything recreational. Highly recommended.

This place is BEAUTIFUL! The restrooms are super clean, the park rangers circle through regularly, and the breeze down by the water makes it bearable to camp in a tent. The only reason I didnt give 5 stars is because the ANTS are EVERYWHERE. They own the place. The trek to the bathroom is up a mountain, but we enjoyed the physical activity. Other than that, this place is awesome.

We recently stayed at Daisy during spring break and what an AWESOME stay! It rained most of the weekend but we got upgraded to the premier location on the point overlooking water on all sides, the park had classes everyday with fun experiences for the kiddos. They had feeding time for their king snake and turtles, craft time and a geocaching class as well among several others. Aside from that the staff and park rangers are so kind and a wealth of information. Special thank you to Mandy for being so great! Its a must see park. We loved spot 50 for RVs and 67 for primitive!

Went in the fall, so keep in mind that outside of the lake and fishing, there are minimal activities available...unless you have a dirt bike and want to hit the trail. There is a short nature trail near the office that is about a 15-30 min hike, mostly flat and not very heavily trafficked. Great for small children.I would not recommend staying in camp area A with an RV. The turnaround near the water is very cramped, making maneuvering a chore if you have an RV approaching 25ft-30ft. The pad sites are not level, and most of the fire rings are on a very steep incline (towards shore), making sitting in a camp chair without falling over, almost impossible and very unenjoyable. Between two families, we had 8 kids, and there was a lot of sliding and falling down due to the steep slope on either side of the RV pads.Camp area E has all of the nice RV pads with better views and usable fire rings...in some cases, with wood, multi level decks.I did not get a good look at camp area B and cannot speak to its quality. There is a playground in the middle of the park that is well maintained and the kids did enjoy it.Crater of Diamonds State Park is about 30 minutes down the road, and worth a visit.Pros:- Clean, well maintained park.- Lake activities- Fishing- Nice Playground- Bear Creek Motorcycle Trail (16 miles)Cons:- Lack of activities outside of fishing and boating.- Hiking trail is short and uneventful and could have been constructed more along the lake shore for better views.- Steep slopes at campsite A pad sites and nearly unusable fire rings due to lack of level.- Electric and water, hookups but no sewer hookups. Dump station only.

Stayed in October, weather was a bit chilly. We tent camped in the 70s sights and it was the best tent camping area. There is another area but it is more of a walk in. Great views.
