A great little hidden gem! The campground is very inexpensive, quiet, simple, and relaxing. You can fish, ride your bike, go to the park, ride the train, check out kayaks and canoes for free, go to the planetarium, and visit the nature center. We love going and the grandkids absolutely love the awesome little nature center. Right not we’re going through the pandemic so some parts are closed but the camping is open. If my memory is correct, for full hookups it is somewhere between $20-$25, I just don’t remember. The campground is in the heart of Kinston, right on the Neuse River and during the summer sometimes you can hear some of the bands that are playing in the park. This is a safe place to camp with your family and enjoy the great outdoors. They can swim in the river but be careful as the water moves swiftly, especially when it’s high. There is not a swimming pool. They do have a shower house you can drive up too. The spaces are rock, dirt, and leaves. All the spaces have to plenty of space. There is no cable but I can pick up a ton of stations coming out of Raleigh. You can camp and eat downtown Kinston. In fact, I am a local and I still choose to camp here, I love it so much. Why go so far away and spend all your money when you can save money and spend great quality time with your family?!?!

We came in a group of 14 RVs that needed someplace to live while helping with disaster relief after Hurricane Florence. They accommodated all of us. Seven of us got the full hook up sites and the rest are waiting for the necessary repairs from the flooding. We are very thankful for the hospitality and affordable rates while we are away from home helping others.

Worth a stop. The two science buildings are interactive and fun for all ages. I see people fishing all the time and theres a lot of grassy areas to have a picnic and swinging chairs to enjoy the river. RV area is always in use. Playground is sturdy and maintained well and the train is an interesting feature most parks dont have, although it does cost money and runs certain hours. The place has a lot of history.

Im a full time RVer and stayed 2 nights at Neuseway City Park as a stopover on the way to Florida. It was in November so there were very few campers. Easy to drive in and just pick a spot. The camp host takes the money, cash only and is only $20 per night. I had a 50 Amp spot with water and was all that I needed. They offer free WiFi that worked pretty well using my laptop. Very quiet and very peaceful and close to town if you need anything.

Its the Best value in Kinston. All ages would find this part to your liking. They have a small zoo, a planetarium, or fish from the bank.they even have a nice camping ground but the last time I heard it was closed because they got flooded call them ahead of time. Make it a day come early to the park and watch the Kinston wood ducks play in the evening.

Very nice park in the city of Kinston. Has a playground for the kids, a camping and RV site, and plenty of room to just walk around and enjoy nature. Theres some other activities as well, but cant remember the name of the building or enclosure off the top of my head. I do remember one enclosure having birds in it. There are bathrooms located on site and plenty of shaded areas. Picnic tables are available as well, but I didnt notice any soda or snack machines, so bring food and drinks with you if you plan to stay awhile. There are a few swings located right in front of the river that are very relaxing and provide an excellent view of the river and the boats that travel up and down the waterway.

Our kids loved this park. They have about 6 slides, baby swings, swings for bigger kids, a nature center with animal exhibits and outside animals like birds and owls. Lots of other kids for our kids to play with, they have an old walk in train for kids to walk in and play with, they have really tall slides for bigger kids. They have a huge lake with swinging chairs to sit on and enjoy the scenery. Im only giving it 4 stars because the water fountain was flooding and looked very unsanitary also there were no bathrooms for when the nature center is closed (if there was porta pottys I sure didnt see them), so I had to pop a squat near the lake and thank God the kids didnt have to use the potty because they would have had to pop a squat too. All in all besides those two factors it is a great park for all ages.
