Very accessible from the urban areas and great for day hikers or dog walkers. Its a shame the trails that go around the pond arent well maintained against the cliffside, which can make talking a walk around it difficult. The entire park area is open and in a small valley so it can feel like a refuge from the world while the trails offer a good elevation challenge or an easy stroll to overlooks for a variety of hiking levels. Renting boats in the summer is also a good idea.

Amazing park to enjoy with family & friends. Has beautiful scenic, you can go for a hike, a walk or even have a picnic( they offer a lot of tables). Very well preserved.

This is a nice secluded park with plenty of space to walk around, hang out, or play frisbee.

A little bit of everything one would want in a hike. Ups and downs, rock scrambles, vistas, shade and greenery. The trail isnt terribly difficult (moderate is a reasonable description) and is fun to do in a group or family. The lake provides a nice background for a picnic as well.

Excellent place for a relatively short yet moderately strenuous hike. Trail was pretty easy to follow and offered a nice set of views

Going fishing here was always great but people are littering all over the place. I wish people will pick up after themselves and stop dumping garbage.

Great park and lots to do but strangely, noone was wearing a mask. Large groups are fine as per nj covid requirements but noone in the entire park work or had masks. Something to be alarmed about

This is a nice little park with a small lake and some hiking trails. In the summer you can rent boats to row around in. It has a few picnic tables.

Attended a family party, we rented the pavilion and it was PERFECT., it was July hot!!!!!! The pavilion offered plenty of shade, more than enough seating space, the attached bathrooms were clean, and it was easy access to unload cars and set up food, etc.....The pavilion looks out onto a beautiful little lake, and is surrounded by trees. Perfect location for a get together of any kind

First thing I noticed - a huge parking lot. I mean really huge - you can probably park a thousand cars there. Never seen anything like this before.The park itself is not big. The longest hiking trail, White Trail, is about 3 miles long. The level of difficulty is easy to moderate. You can complete the entire loop in a hour and half (including Red trail back to the parking lot).There are couple of views along the trail and an artificial lake at its end

Very beautiful small park with a lake. The photo I provided earlier shows the NYC skyline, which is not visible down at the lake, but can be seen from the small mountain immediately adjacent to the park-- you can walk up from the parking lot if youre so inclined.

Nice county park for a picnic. NOTE: the lake has been drained down to repair the damn and fish removed. :-( WAS a good bass fishing lake but the State has promised to restock when the work is completed in the spring of 2018.

County park with a short hiking trail, a small lake (no swimming) and charcoal barbecues. Its nice to visit if you live in the area, but not worth a special trip. The dam was recently rebuilt and trails around the lake renovated.

Very nice park! The red trail had great views of the trees and the blue path had a nice overlook at the end (only found one, not sure where the other was). The white trail was a lot of fun, moderate, so bring water since it takes about 1.5hrs or longer depending on your pace. All trails are well marked and theres a trail key that I wish I knew about beforehand! Definitely do the white trail at the start so you can feel like you earned the overlooks, I did it backwards since the red dropped off at the end of the white trail. Couple of places required getting bearings straight, but that was fun too!
