I like the local cinema ever since they installed easy chairs, like a la-z-boy you might have in your living room. They also upgraded pix and sound to current standards. No complaints!

If youre interested in a private showing, a private theater experience this is the place to go! Every time Im back visiting family, we go see a movie here and are the only ones in the theater! Its great because then you can talk through the movie and make wise cracks without interrupting anyone

I am totally appalled at the emergency alert system at Kinnelon Cinemas. During our movie, the emergency lights and alarms came on. A notice which said there has been an incident in the theater. Please wait for further instructions. My friends and I, upon realizing the notice did NOT mention the word fire, assumed that it must be some kind of armed/violent intruder. What other kind of non-fire incident warrants emergency strobe lights and alarms?Well folks, it was an unfounded alarm according to the police department. The employee working at the ticket booth told us that his manager was messing around with the alarm system, which caused this to happen. He told us you didnt hear it from me.Due to them not including the word fire in their announcement, we ran straight to the exit doors, left the theatre, and hid. We truly thought there must be an active shooter.I think the cinema needs to seriously work on who has access to the emergency system, as well as the panic-inducing options that they use.

I have always been going to this Movie Theatre. I think it’s wonderful & very convenient. They have a whole variety of snacks you can choose from. Thank you Kinnelon Cinemas for your great service!

I can not believe the state of this bathroom. The theater has always been alittle bit of a wreck but the smell in this bathroom is inexcusable. Fix your urinal.

Nice low-key theater with many screens. Friendly staff and nice comfy reclining seats. Stadium seating with plenty of room. Easy parking. Love it!

I like this theater and go there a lot. Far less expensive than the ritzy AMCs and, frankly, more to my taste The place isnt crowded weekdays, when I usually go and is sometimes almost deserted (hope the place stays in business). Nice selection of movies, snacks half the price and just as good as more expensive competitors. Discounts all day Tuesday and, for seniors, all day Thursday. I usually pay just $6 of $7 for my tickets. Seats arent motorized, but who cares? There are two huge screens and five or so smaller but still very nice-sized screens. Sounds quality is good. Whats not to like? After the movie I usually go tot he Stop & Shop in the same mall and stock up on groceries.

Theater was very clean. It was a quiet Thursday night, the concession stand was fast and staff very friendly. Nice theater

Awesome local theater. Everyone is friendly, they frequently offer small release films, and I wait with anticipation for the lets all go to the lobby cartoon before every film!

I love the updated seating! Now all we need is a couple of theaters with recliners and reserved seating.

Went during the week and movie was starting and the room hadnt been cleaned. Thought we walked into the wrong theatre. The guy cleaned it quick but... Its small enough... It was quiet enough during the day... Not sure why it was so dirty.

Great smaller local movie house. They play current releases with reasonable ticket prices and matinee pricing. They have a full, reasonably priced concession stand. They have a few screens( not sure if its 3 or 4 ) with stadium style seating- very comfortable. The restrooms are always well kept. My family and I go here all the time

Very nice atmosphere, small but very welcoming! Staff was helpful and the snacks were fresh. Seats are comfortable, with enough foot room to accommodate anyone. I recommend this theater to everyone. Cheaper prices than other high end theaters like AMC.

Went to the theatre on Saturday 11/09/19 to see the 1:20pm showing 0f MIDWAY. We entered theatre 2 and the place was freezing. I went to the cashier at the snack area and told the young man. He said he would tell the manager. After about a 1/2 hour still no heat. My wife and I left and got a refund.

This theater has been upgraded and now has comfy chairs and a cleaner look. Pricing is great as anytime I can see a movie for under $9 per person is a win. Captain Marvel was the movie I saw with my kiddies and all had a good time.

Great, small, local theater. The line to our home tickets took less than 2 minutes. Its an older theater without some fun features like stadium seating, but its close, super safe and my kids love going here!

A nice little theater, I enjoy their snack bar selection and the prices werent outrageous. Sometimes they mix up the theaters and what movies are playing in them but other than that its a great place. Management and staff were helpful as well.

Spacious, comfortable seating in a classic style theater. Decent selection on snacks. Reasonable prices. The menu screens double as advertising so read quickly or walk in knowing what you want.

This has been one of my favorite theaters since I was a kid.

Nice place no problems ever

I live very close to the theater so last minute my husband and I decided to see a movie tonight. Like usual, the Icee machine was broken, the snacks were sparse, and anything I wanted they didnt have. Ticket sales were fast and the new seats are comfy, but I always have some sort of disappointment because of the snack bar when I visit. Last time the popcorn was so salty it hurt my mouth. The time before that it was stale. My husband got Dipping Dots in the past that were one solid brick (looked like the fridge shut off and then froze them again. Not even one dot in the container). Staff is pleasant and helpful, but I am starting to prefer to go to other theaters.

What kind of workers are you people hiring? I was here today to see the lion king with my family and I witnessed a worker not only have his underwear sticking out of his pants, but also EATING POPCORN OUT OF THE MACHINE WITH HIS BARE HANDS. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. Will never buy popcorn here again.

Well our movie started out fine but one third of the way through the movie we go a black screen and they said their projector was dying. Then they proceeded to take us to another room and another movie was still playing! They then proceeded to take us to another room and after increasing the volume a bit it played to the end without a problem...Its good that the matinee was a lower price because I feel we deserved a refund for the interruption of the movie and the inconvenience. They didnt even apologize. Not sure if Ill return.

Been going to this location forever (before Clearview, Bowtie and current owners). Glad the seats have been updated. Staff is generally very helpful.Concession prices reasonable. Love the discount nights. The old in-theater speakers have been replaced, and the movie experience itself is great.However, it seems like the initial improvements and momentum of the new owners has run out of steam.Hopefully some updates to the carpeting and lighting will be done....but please fix and modernize those bathrooms first !

Can not beat the prices that they charge at this theater! While it is not like the larger theaters with IMAX screens, it still has comfortable seating with plenty of room too relax and enjoy the movie.

Great local movie theater in the sea of larger corporate entities... closer to home for many and more affordable, too.The seats were a little loud (springs, etc) when getting up and down which distracted during the movie.

They got rid of the family 4 pack so -1 Star. Clean theater tho.Update: $6 Tuesday’s are pretty good. Although once I raised my arm rest and leaned in something sticky but I haven’t had that problem since. Overall I like it, but the layout of the theater makes it impossible to see the whole screen of someone sits in front of you.

This theatre is a great place to take your children for a matinee. Its not at all cookie cutter like most others. Plus you can have a childs birthday party here, which mine absolutely loved his party there. Good theatre and the new seats are very comfy!

Nice small theater but not for kids...seats are so high my 10yr old couldnt see over the top. Adults are fine and this is convenient, clean and has $5 Tuesday movies but you need booster seats for kids..seriously.

Felt like I was in a time machine and brought back to the movie theater of 10-15 years ago in a good way. Everyone was really nice and personable and the prices were affordable compared to other theaters.

Even though the rooms are small, its still a great theater. The seats are extremely comfortable, the sound quality and screens are good too! Theres a special discount on Tuesdays which is nice.

Big comfy lounge chairs... Clean. Nice people. Just wish they had a marquee to post what is playing.

Terrible service! They list movies then when you get there, you are told oh, we are not showing that. I asked yesterday why they did not change the website version of what is playing and BRIAN, (large boy) claped back with what did you expect, us to call you - no big boy, I expected someone to change the webpage if you were not showing the movie. We had checked listings just before leaving the house. This has happened three times for us, in the past 3 months. NOT A WAY TO RUN A BUSINESS. And Brian, hope your life exists of fast food hats of your choice because the way you speak to customers is NOT acceptable.

This theater is tired. Needs updating, especially the sound system. Very disappointed, saw Bohemian Rhapsody and the sound did not do it justice. Saw this movie again at a larger theater and it was amazing, blew this place away.

Went today with my nephew and on Tuesdays all movies are 6 bucks!!! Seniors its 5. I would of given them 5 stars but seats dont recline like most theaters do.

I’ll conceed the theatre has low prices, comfortable seats and decent popcorn - but the presentation here is very much hit or miss (especially in theatre #3 - beware). I’ve seen them run films in the wrong aspect ratio - cutting off heads and subtitles and the staff doesn’t care, doesn’t have the training in digital cinema to fix it and ignorantly blames the filmmakers.I’ve run into these issues more than once - two months ago bad framing cut off half the subtitles in the film. Last year at a show half the screen was black for some reason and it took the staff a half hour to figure out how to reset the projector. Also the men’s room can flood/back-up on more than one occasion (it wasn’t an issue last time) and hopefully has been fixed.

This cinema has small theaters and the hallways are dirty, the floors are sticky but they just put in these awesome and really comfortable new seats and took out some rows to make there plenty of room for your legs. So if you are in eight grade and your parents wont drive you to Wayne then go here.

Overbooked. I bought tickets online and when I brought my wife and kids there were no more seats. They refunded my tickets however they did not provide additional compensation for the lost of time and inconvenience. Moreover, my 9 year old was very disappointed. The experience was very disappointing.

This is the worst run movie theater ever! There were kids running around everywhere, my family and I saw some underage kids sneak into the rated R movie. They didnt even really have to sneak in because even the ushers in the hallway didnt stop them. During the entire movie these kids were laughing and talking loudly, running in and out of the movie bringing in some more underage friends with them. Having sexual relations in the movie while the movie is going on (yes the underage children ). The floors seemed like they havent been clean since they opened the doors in the A.M. Just all around disgusting and disturbing. The only part of this movie theater that deserves the one star I am giving is because the seats were a little comfortable but it does not make up for the fact that my family and I could not really hear to enjoy the movie. You guys need a whole revamp of staff then it might make a difference.

This place is perfect for a low cost night out. its a little bit outdated. the refreshments stand is usually out of what I want when I go on a weekend morning. But.. the kids like it and I can take my kid and a friend out to see a movie without spending over 50 dollars.the staff is usually accommodating and helpful.

Still my favorite theatre. Great deals and always clean and comfortable. Better than most AMCs by far

Good theatre to go to in the area of your avoiding big crowds! Its an old Clearview Cinemas theatre... They just put in brand new reclining leather seats which make it so nice to sit back and enjoy a movie!

Not bad for an older theater. One of the movie rooms was updated with newer wider leather seats, but the others have not. Place needs a whole renovation.

Little theater with smaller theater rooms, much less crowded than the big ones. All first run movies, nice staff, easy to find, huge parking lot area, good grab and go good too.

Honestly a Great Theater! The Theater is never usually crowed and never are there long lines (unless you are there Saturdays and Tuesdays). The reason why I rated it only four stars is because the theaters are usually not very clean; when I come to watch a movie, I find left over popcorn on the floor, wrappers, etc.. Otherwise, Kinnelon Cinemas is a Great theater!

Love it !! Not busy at all and open late went there with my kids party of 5 at 10 pm to watch the meg no problems at counter not busy at all wonderful place.

Absolutely terrible. They sold me a ticket for a movie, and it turns out they had the theater rented out for a birthday party. I was then offered a refund, and the option to stay and see a movie for free. The only problem was that every movie was 20 mins into playing already, and the next show times were hours away. None of the staff seemed to care at all, and I ended up just leaving. Ive never seen anything like that. I wish I could give this theater a zero.

I love the atmosphere here, the employees are nice especially the fair skinned guy who wears a bandanna. He adds a cool tone for his workers and is very helpful. He needs a promotion for what he does.

Worst theater around. Been going there my whole life and its gone to hell. Disgusting snack area, bad microwave pretzels (which you cant even hide the taste of with mustard since they never have anything in stock.) When you walk in you feel like turning around from witnessing the neglect. Half the equipment sits empty, and they have no one in charge. New seats mean nothing since they have enough room to recline but dont. The owner doesnt seem to care about his customers at all.

Local theater that I go to often. Not fancy but not expensive. Tuesday is a discount day and seniors all times. Highly recommended.

$6 every Tuesday. Cant be at that. They replaced the seats a few years ago so the move back a little. Unfortunately they are so uncomfortable and a few are broken in most theatre rooms.

Maybe half the seat backs were broken so constantly fell backwards. Annoying!
