Highly recommend you tour last Washington Headquarters of the Revolutionary War. Lisa was very informative. Excellent period pieces. Lovely home built in 1710. No photos allowed inside so you must go to see George Washington himself as a surprise.

Beautiful in the fall season. Guided tours are currently on hold due to covid-19, but still worth taking a quick stroll if youre in the area.

We came here for a walk along the canal without knowing the site. A nice lady working here saw us and told us about the site. She then kindly called to arrange a quick tour for us outside the regular time slots. Brendan, our guide, was very welcoming and knowledgeable. He showed us around the house and gave detailed explanations probably during his break. The site itself is well arranged and maintained with rich history.

Ive been passing by signs for this place the last 6 months. Finally made it a point to visit with the family. Five of my kids ages 6 to 20. Just a few miles from where we live and a totally different landscape. Beautiful! We did a 2pm tour with Lisa. She was very knowledgeable and animated. Which made a potential boring homeschool field trip more interesting for my 6yo. We arrived early so we took the trail at the side of the house to explore a bit of the D&R Canal.

Wonderful place! Another raw slice of American history. Our guide Lisa was amazing! We learned a lot of new from her narration. Place is free to visit but you call in advance to schedule a tour. They gladly appreciate donations.

While not the largest historical site, the connection here to the Revolution is very deep here, and its well worth an hour or so visit, especially on a day when they are showing off other historical data, like the childrens day where they were demonstrating toys, and clothes washing. Bravo.

Visited this house July 3rd, 2019 and found Brendan, our guide, to be a storehouse of historical information and we learned more here of Washington, the Revolutionary War and the architecture of the period than any other historic home we have ever visited. Top marks. Amira

Great historical property. Lisa gave our group of nine a lovely and informative tour. I learned a lot and enjoyed the visit.

Lisa was extremely kind and beyond well versed in the history of Rockingham. It is one thing to read or learn at school about George Washington and another to actually see how he lived. His history, as well as the Berrien Family history tied into the history of my surrounding area that I was not aware of until today. To actually read aloud the heartfelt words written by Goerge Washington in his Farewell Letter to the Military was quite a privilege. Thank you so much to everyone, now and throughout the centuries, that made keeping Rockingham preserved a priority.

Worth seeing when youre in the Princeton area. The tour is approximately an hour long. Our tour guide was very good and made it interesting. Admission is free. Entry to the tour is a little unusual in that they require you to wait outside until the next scheduled tour. Be sure to read the sign on the door.

A great way to spend free time. Go here and explore the exterior of the home on your own than take the guided house tour. If I remember correctly photography is not allowed inside.
