Mr.jay is one of the sweetest people Ive ever dealt with in a public setting, my daughter and I came to the carousel and he was so nice, offering to take a family picture and going over the safety and history of the ride. The staff took the job of cleanliness seriously, after every ride every animal was wiped down and sanatized. This place is full of childlike magic and the staff made it even better! Shame you cant have more than 5 stars.

Hand Carved Carousel. One of the Best Attractions in Kingsport. All of Kingsport came together to get his done and it shows. Highly Recommend if you are visiting town. I think its only $1 a Ride. What a DEAL!

This is a beautiful carousel. The ride is about 3.5 minutes long and it costs $1. There is a small gift shop there too.The carousel is conveniently located next to a small playground.Check the hours before you go.

I am really impressed by what theyve done with downtown Kingsport. Theyve made it start to look like a real city. Its really nice looking with the addition of the Carousel and the little playground. Great job K-town!

So much fun for children 0 to 100. And the employees are super kind!

The ride is only $1 per person for 3.5 minutes. Music isnt too loud. There are train car type seats for families with young children.Theyre also keeping everything sanitized to stop the spread.

My daughter and granddaughter loved it. It was a affordable ride that was fun for young kids. The playground is really nice and the area is pleasant. The staff working there are friendly and helpful.

The Carousel itself is beautiful. The craftsmanship and artistry is incredible. The story behind it is very heartwarming. I was able to take my kids for free during our visit for Fun Fest. The staff was absolutely fantastic. My kids really enjoyed the ride. There is also a small outdoor playground. Visit the farmers market for some really great produce. I highly recommend a visit.

Beautiful carousel that has been lovingly built by the people of Kingsport and surrounding areas. All hand made under supervision of craftsmen. Beautiful craftsmanship.A nice playground with a gate around it so kids cant run onto the road, but little shade so better on cooler days.

This is a great attraction, but even better story of a community coming together to accomplish a goal. The figures and artwork were done by community members. Will be back.

Its a dollar per ride I believe and you have to cash in and get a token. The people are super friendly and patient.

Wonderful park. Carousel is very charming. Everything was built or refurbished by volunteers for the community. Theyve added a playground too so its perfect for kids

Great place to take children its wonderful! The Carousel is so beautiful and the gift shop has cute very unique items.

Carousel was nice for the kids. We went to a birthday party here and wasnt impressed with the small hallway and room they had for a party venue. They are extremely pricey to rent for having dirty concrete rooms with exposed pipes. The three stars are for the carousel rides alone and the nice lady running them. The gift shop has ridiculous overpriced dollar store items as well. Trying to capitalize on parents wanting to give their kid a trinket is shameful.

My daughters, 2 and 3 1/2, love the carousel. Its 1$ to ride, lateand the new playground, which is free, is an awesome addition. It has 1 slide, ropes, soft rubber ground, plastic merry go round, tunnel, musical instruments, couple of picnic tables, and a pretend tree ladder.

This was super cute. Its very nice to just go once and experience it with youre children or whole family. The details on the animals I thought were beautiful. Its worth the trip to make such a simple yet fun memory .My children loved it .

Beautiful carousel! Such an interesting place to share with the town of Kingsport. It only costs $1 per ride, so its very affordable. The park attached looks nice- however it would be nice if there was a covered seating/picnic table area for parents to sit while their kiddos play. It would also be nice if their were swings so moms with babies could include them as well.

Such an awesome place for my grandsons birthday party! It was my first time there, but it is all he has talked about for the last month the two gentlemen that were running the place were super friendly and helpful!

My first time to the KINGSPORT, Carousel!!!! It is so beautiful!!!! I rode the wolf, AdahyA little girl I talked to after my ride, ask did you ride the wolf? I replied, YES!!! She informed me that he was the biggest one, and he went up the highest on the Carousel!!! I responded with!!?? He must be, I had to have my son help me off!! My daughter and I were visiting Kingsport and decided to see the carousel. Several people had recommended it to us. We throughly enjoyed seeing and riding it. Rides are only $1 and the carousel is operated by volunteers. The animals were all hand carved and painted. Each animal is so whimsical, its impossible to pick a favorite. Theres so much detail in each carving and in the paintings adorning the carousel. Theres also a small outside playground to further enhance your visit. I would recommend visiting the carousel whether you have small kids or not.

Only $1 per ride. Beautiful carousel! Friendly staff. Air conditioned building. Nice outdoor playground beside it.

A really cool place. A nice place to hold a party. The only thing. You have to clean up after you are done and its hard to find what you need to do so.

Loved loved loved the carousel. My daughter said Wheeeeeeeee when it started, so that was definitely a vote of approval. The park has a nice, soft flooring installed so if your child falls, it shouldnt hurt. Its a nice facility and an inexpensive way to spend an hour of your time.

This place is absolutely amazing! I cant believe the carousel is only $1 ! Plus, theres some really cool souvenirs in the shop! Outside is a really nice playground area. Theres several musical things as well! I highly recommend! This is a must see!!!!

I may be biased after spending 3 years painting and carving animals for the carousel, but I really feel like its a magical experience for all those who are young or young at heart. Completely hand crafted, and volunteer driven, this interactive work of art only costs $1 per token and one token per ride in order to allow everyone in the community to be able to come enjoy it. You can also rent it out for parties!

Absolutely love this place. My son is 2 and loves the carousel! And even better its only $1 to ride. I will say, making a parent who has to stand beside the toddler pay to get on as well is a little irritating! If I didnt have to pay for myself, Id have more money for my kids to ride multiple times. The last time we were there, I had $3. Meaning, because I have to pay for myself too, even tho I dont actually get to ride, I could only afford for my son to ride once. One of the people working over heard me telling him no when he asked again, that I only has $1, and this gentleman gave me a token so I could get on with him again. I big thanks to him! It was a super nice thing he did! But Id come a lot more since its only 8 minutes away from my home if I didnt have to pay to stand beside my 2 year old! Hopefully someone will see this and take it into consideration, that parents that have to stand shouldnt have to pay.

I took my sons to ride the carousel horses and the volunteers there are amazing. My oldest boy has autism so they even adjusted the music for him. We will definitely be going back!! Also, the carousel animals are beautiful.

As a cynical teenager, I was initially skeptical to ride a non-amusement park or carnival affiliated carousel. I figured that it wouldnt hurt to try it - after all, I only had to spend one measly dollar to try it for three and a half minutes. The moment I set foot inside the carousel, I couldnt help but notice the expert craftsmanship on the handmade animals and was blown away by the charming musical selections (ex. Bizets Carmen). Most importantly, I felt like a kid again because of the beautifully maintained facilities and welcoming staff. This may be my favorite new thing to do in Kingsport.

Deffinetly recommend! Accepts riders of all ages and it’s only $1 to ride! It is located right in downtown Kingsport close to many local shops and restaurants! The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable about the carousels history! It also has a gift shop filled with all sorts neat items! All in all it’s a great place to visit and if your celebrating a birthday the operator will play Happy Birthday on the band organ!

The carousel was awesome. All the newer hand carved animal to ride on as well as the carvings on you and the beautiful paintings. The staff were very friendly and taugh us a lot about the history of the carousel and how it got to be where it is. Definitely worth the stop. Plus its free to go in and look and a very very small fee to ride the carousel. Gift shop was very reasonably priced

What an amazing job!! We have seen it in all phases, and it has truly become a Kingsport landmark.

This place is hard to spot because they do not have a sign. The building says Pals Roundhouse. So I didnt even know there was a carousel inside for several months. There a carousel and gift shop inside and a small park outside. Its $1 per ride but the rides last for 3 minutes each. Theres a machine where u purchase tokens for the ride. It takes cash and cards but it doesnt give change. But the gift shop usually has change. Newborns are able to ride as long as they ride on one of the bench ones. They have all kinds of animals to choose from. Some are lower to the ground for younger children. There are also ones that dont move up and down. Adults can ride with younger children who dont want to ride alone. The only downside is the Carousel is closed on Monday and Tuesday. However the park is open everyday from dusk to dawn. No drinks or food aloud inside the park or carousel.

The people who work there are nice it is fun for all ages
