Beautiful course Ive been using for ten years. Not perfect (greens a bit rough in a few places). Generally very fun to play and a great value.
Beautiful course, but greens need some work.
Very nice place if you like a nice place to play golf you have a variety of options to play golf
Ive been here twice. Each time the staff have been rude and unfriendly like youre troubling them for being there. Then they have the audacity to follow you around while you play. Literally no one 4 holes behind us and theyll sit there and watch you rushing you. Both times theyve done this. Course is okay. But need some friendlier people. I never leave reviews on anything either. But sometimes you earn one.
This is an awesome Golf course Maintained by a great staff relaxing place to enjoy and improve your golf game I would recommend to try it out if you are considering somewhere to play
It’s a good course to test your shot making skills!
Course and views are beautiful. Weekend rates are great and course was in decent shape. Some of the tee boxes were a little sloppy but still playable. A few of the greens were pretty trashed and need some work but other than that everything was pretty picturesque. I did play a weekend round (2 players) and had an early tee time (before 8:30) the front nine played ok but the back nine took far too long. 5-10min breaks between being able to tee off due to slow players.
If weeds in the fairway, diseased greens and gimmicky holes are your thing, then you’re in luck.
Surroundings beautiful ! However, Greens are absolutely terrible! Like putting on the Moon full of craters! Tee boxes like concrete! Better have a hammer to drive your tee in the box! Not a value for the money. Catawba Creek off Union Rd. MUCH nicer for the value!
Enjoy this challenging course usually in good shape great price tucked away near mountain
My buddies play here a couple of times a week. I enjoy joining them when I can. Friendly staff. Good layout. Score on the front 9 as the back is much more difficult.
One of my favorite courses of all time. Very relaxed atmosphere. Course can be
The course has bent greens, a driving range, and two handicapped parking spots. Play is good at this course. They take rainchecks, and you can reserve tee times. Make sure if you play more than nine holes get a hotdog before going to the back nine, because you get a chance after 3:00.
Great course for the money. Beautiful scenery
My father and I love this course its a great scenery and a good challenge
Great course for the $. Fun layout with the exception of #14. An annual tradition among friends!
Great layout, beautiful scenery. Greens were in great shape. They need to pay a little more attention to detail. They had numerous tree trunks that need to be removed and could really add some landscaping around the tees. Theyve been working on #6 and still have a lot of work for the tees to be useable, although they are using them.
Great course for the price. Tee boxes were the only drawback. Perfect course for golfers newer to the sport. Greens rolled true. If youre looking for a challenge, maybe a different track. 12-14 are a test for any golfer. Fun round!
Very well kept course. Staff was super friendly!
Played this course today for the first time in many years. The layout is fun but the forward tee boxes have been moved forward on most holes making the course much shorter than the advertised 5,308. Our Golf Buddies recorded less than 4,000 yards (3,892) for the forward tees making the slope/rating suspect. Good time, greens were in good condition but the fairways and tee boxes need much TLC.
Course is in great shape and I enjoyed the round. I will be returning very soon.
Always a fun course but the greens need some work
Very enjoyable course to play. Need to really have pictures of the actual hole on tee boxes, to help you know how to play hole. They have none at all, and for the first time player of the course it is very unfair. A lot of the drives are blind shots, and some second shots as well. Course is in pretty good shape, except for the crabgrass on some greens, but overall is well worth the money. Extremely friendly staff helps as well. Will be playing it again !!!
The day my group played (9/2/2018) course was in very poor shape. Fairways not cut, greens spotty with bare spots. Over priced for condition of course. I would suggest othet courses in area.
Pros:Definitely a different track, hills and elevationVery short, but demanding tee shots.Friendly staff.Hotdogs +Cons:Hard tee boxes.Slow and FIRM greens. Putt straight at it and firm.Pace of play. TERRIBLE (Weekends)Three stars for me because pace of play means alot.
Awesome lay out. We normally play flat courses in Louisiana and this course was sooo different. Great slopes up and down the fairways. Tricky ponds and creeks and people were so nice. It started raining its azz off on us and clubhouse guys came out to check on us.... great course
Great place beautiful course, friendly staff.
Course is close to my house I have played it lot. Tried to sneak out for 18 at 11 am got stick behind to foursomes the entire time.... third time this has happened in less than 12 months. Course is in decent shape but tee boxes need extensive work.
Love the layout! Beautiful backdrop! Greens rolled consistant 5/5/18. Friendly staff too.
Greens are in good shape, some tee boxes are hard. Overall I felt it was good value for the price.
I worked at this Golf Course for 5yrs and I have came in contact with a lot of Golfers from Lawyers Drs Policeman Baseball Players Football Players Ministers some Friends from School Days They have made Me feel like a part of The Golfer Family even though I dont play. I hear about their putts drives & misses I also love to hear Them talk about Their learning experiences. Thanks For Letting Me Be A Part Of Your Family
You cant beat this track with a stick for the price. Greens are a little sketchy but hey Bagger Vance had it worse. The layout requires your attention and the par 5 second hardest hole is not for the weak of heart. Enjoy it. I did. 4 over.
Course is in great shape. Fast greens
Great course and fun to play. I really enjoy to play here. They offer rain checks too!
I really like this place. Is not top rated, but is kept clean, maintain and the people are friendly. Is a little offmy way, but will drive and pay one more dollar to avoid Green Meadows.
Friendly staff, greens are in need of repair, keep seeing same employee out there, that does nothing every time Im there. Worst employee ever.
This is one of the best courses in the greater Charlotte area, where else can you play beside mountains, on a secluded course under great conditions, nice pace of play, course is in spectacular condition, love the way he warms you up on the front nine being a little wider, to prep you for a tighter back nine, it gives you a chance to dial in your swing on the front nine...Ive played a lot of courses but this is my by far favorite. this is a thinking mans course, Top 3 that I have played, (which its over 100) I played Pinehurst number 2 in 1999, two months after the Open, Ive played Olde Beau in Roaring Gap North Carolina, it is kind of a tricked up course but it is beautiful, challenging, and a lot of fun. Verdict Ridge is another good course, challenging....just my opinion
Rude in pro shop. Rude all around!
Absolutely a Beautiful Place to Play Golf!
The staff were all very nice and the course was in descent condition.
Staff is working hard and steady on making the course not only look good, but also to play well. Greens are getting better and better. Fairways coming along. Some work still needed in fairway and green side bunkers. Not being maintained as they should be. A few of tee boxes also in need to maintenance/reworking.
Fun to play. price reflects the course condition.
Good course for a hard but fair round of golf
Great course
Fun course, good greens, beautiful scenery
Nice coarse
Course is in great shape
I have played this course for 15+ yrs. I have a 10 yr. old son that I bring when my wife has to work, and he enjoys going with me. Well I went to play Sunday in a dogfight and we had 15 players, which would be three 4 sums and a three sum.I was told that I would have to pay $14 for my son to ride. Its not like we had to rent another cart, we had an empty seat and he still wanted $14. I thought golf courses were sopoose to encourage the youth to get involved in golf. This place is only out for money. Last month they had 3 temporary greens and they didnt reduce the price even though we were playing a 15 hole course now. I also had a buddy who drank a little to much on the golf course, and gota ride home with one of his friends who was playing there also, and when he came back the next MORNING his car was towed.I have spent alot of money at this place and i rarely get called by name. There is a few employees there that are nice. I will miss those fellas. But if you wanna play a course that after your first round there, they will call you by name. Its Green Meadows. This course isnt the most beautiful course in town, but its a good golf course. Its not a difficult course, but its a good course to score well at. You can always find a match and the people are always glad to see you.I guess the the owner of Crowders Mountain doesnt like people playing his course. He has ran off alot of golfers. If you play here, just know that when you pay your fees, it for the fees only. You cant buy a smile there, and no kids allowed.
Beautiful view and friendly people.
