We took my 4 grandsons, aged 7 to 20 years. We had no idea what the park was like as none of us had ever been there. We were meeting the 7 year old to celebrate his birthday. He was coming from Los Osos and we are from Santa Cruz. What a wonderful surprise! This is a very well kept park with lots of shade, play equipment and tables. There are museums, which we will have to explore next time. We will definately be returning. There is a small entrance fee. You can check the web page. We loved it! It was 1 1/2 hrs from Santa Cruz. And the same from Los Osos.
It is very well done. Lots of information and its free. Well worth a visit
For a small town like King City, its really an amazing thing that we have a museum with such a beautiful setting. Ive been going to this museum/park for almost all my life and it never gets boring. This place is great for camping, throwing parties, or just having a nice relaxing time by yourself or with friends. There are many sights and things to do. Events regularly happen on site, and are genuinely fun to attend. This park is an amazing asset to this community, and it doesnt get the recognition it should.
Love this place. Its a hidden Gem for the town and should be advertised more. The museum is def nice to check out. And if you go far back enough in the park you could camp there. Good place to take the kids to the park.
This museum is filled with antigue cars and all sorts of great photos, memorabilia, and signs showing the history of the area. If you like history or are from the area and want to learn more about, you dont want to miss this place!
Its a beautiful relaxing park. It has RV parking available. It is a nice place to rest and to park for people traveling .
Such a relaxing place, so peaceful, the air there is so fresh, I loooove their green trees and grass. To my surprise their restrooms are very clean. The park rangers are so friendly and polite. I love this park.
Spent a couple of hours in the Museum Barn. It is a very nice little museum, but unfortunately the old school house and the farm workers house were not open. The collection of farm equipment that is located outside is not being maintained and all the items are in different degrees of deterioration. Entrance is free with paid admission to the San Lorenzo County Park. ($2.00).
Great Monterey County history of life in the 1800s!! I definitely want to go back!!
We had a very good family birthday party
A cool little museum in the heart of agriculture rich monterey county. A great place to take the family and enjoy a picnic. And a quick history lesson as well.
