Mallory Square is well designed. Visit an hour before sunset for a magical experience. I was able to have tropical drinks made in pineapples, see tight rope walking, juggling, knife tricks, Unicycle acts And fire Throwing. Live music was amazing. The sunset was truly beautiful. Theres a nice feeling of community and visitors coming together for a daily experience . There are great restaurants in variety price ranges nearby. There are also bust that explained the local history and notable characters including Tennessee Williams, Henry Flagler, Ernest Hemingway, and Tennessee Williams.

Was pretty barren, empty, couple of homeless people sitting around with roosters and chickens seemingly accompanying them. It looks like it would be a hopping place filled with festivities during peak times. Not much going on in the middle of November. Not sure if its off-peak or if covid is affecting it.

I was there the end of July during the pandemic so there was free parking at the wharf at Mallory Square. There werent very many free parking spaces so I would bet if it was any other summer day that the parking lot would be full. There were other small lots in the neighborhood that had a person waving signs parking for a fee. It was nice going during the pandemic because I had the place to myself. I could picture this place getting pretty crowded very fast. Its a bit of a tourist trap but I liked this area and would definitely recommend it.

From Largo to Key West, a trip to the Florida Keys should be on EVERYONES bucket list. There is something for everyone. I personally stay in Marathon Key. Marathon is pretty much centered in the middle of the keys, making it easier to reach the beautiful parks and attractions. Enjoy! Its an experience you wont forget.

Watched the sunset at about 7pm. Lots of people sitting on the pier with us. Some nice lady took our picture for us. Someone played the guitar nearby. Afterward, we walked around and saw several craft and souvenir vendors and a street performer. The brick and mortar stores that I wanted to go into were closed, unfortunately, with shortened hours. Google hasn’t made those edits yet.

Mallory Square is the place to watch the sunsets. So much so, its got an official brand, its name: the Sunset Celebration. If you dont make it tonight, its playing tomorrow night too. And, every night after that. It inspired my article at Circling Travel.

I have been here two times now and the first time I went was awesome! Food carts, live shows, the amazing scenic views, fishing from the wall, and overall the vibe was insane. The second time I visited was just recently and I came down early in the morning to see the sunrise. I didn’t do much planning and was shocked to see that nothing was there and set up, but I do have to say Mallory Square sunrises are something you should add to your bucket list. It is so quiet and serene. I will be coming back soon!

This area is a traditional stop for both fl natives and tourists. Several different street artist perform every night. Beekeeping restaurant right behind the square is absolutely delicious. If youre looking for an area that the sun actually touches the water in front of you unfortunately this is not the place. There is a island that blocks the setting sun but silhouettes nicely in photos.Be careful near the edge of the pierin many places there is no handrail and you or one of your little ones could possibly fall over.Worth it just for the cultural experience.

You have to visit Mallory Square on a trip to Key West! All the fun starts around 6:00. Some of the street performances were mediocre, but then we found one we really enjoyed watching. He was amazing and charismatic! The sunset was just okay and unlike years past, no one claps anymore! That was disappointing. It was packed, too. Maybe a less busy time of year (before Christmas?) Would be less crowded.

This is a place where you can see the beauty of our world and be embraced in the culture of Florida! There are street performers that line the boulevard and restaurants that have about any type of food.It gets busy during the sunset and some of the street performers can get pretty aggressive for money, but its like any busy area. Be mindful and respectful.Go check it out and grab a bite to eat from a local vendor!

We went to the square around mid-day and stayed until after sunset. Great place to sit and watch the boats and cruise ships. Late afternoon is when the entertainment starts, there are singers, musicians, jugglers, animal shows and more. It is a great place for people of all ages and backgrounds. There is a lot of restaurants available nearby with plenty to choose from. We really enjoyed the festive atmosphere.

Very cool place. Very beautiful in the day but so much fun at night. The sunset was gorgeous on my first night but then it rained the rest of my trip. However, I got the one night to enjoy the performers and the view. Catman was my favorite and he performs at the end of the square. There were lots of very talented performers and I was in awe. Loved this sunset festival- I missed it before when I was on a cruise since the ships block the view and have to leave before sunset.

I had first visited Mallory Square 17 years ago. I seem to remember it having a lot more personality before, and even the sunset was less than thrilling since the sun sets behind an island during the summer rather than directly over the ocean. I suspect the changes made to accommodate the cruise ships are primarily responsible for the lack of character.

Get there an hour early if you want a good spot on the sea wall to watch the sunset. The salty old buskers add a good flavor and balance out the extravagant street performers. It’s going to be crowded so if you’re not into that go somewhere else. It’s fun watching all the booze cruises go by.
