It is beautiful, serene, quiet and a bit mysterious. Drive through and explore or anchor off & have lunch or watch the sunset. *BE CAREFUL though- very shallow near the houses.

Beautiful landmark in the middle of the Bay. I visit this place several times a year as a charter and clients always are amazed at the structures and incredible view around. A must visit if in Miami.

Live Miami Prohibition era history at Stiltsville. This is unique... really. The closest Ive seen to this is Venice, Italy, but Venice hasnt survived decades of hurricanes. Visit now, as this place may at some point no longer exist. Another hurricane could unfortunately wipe out the remaining structures.

Love, love, loveeee these historic shacks dating back to the 1930s. It used to be the in-thing, the go-to if you were visiting Miami. There used to be 27 structures but due to fires, hurricanes and tough weather conditions, only the strong ones have lasted. A beautoful, historic places to see & I totally recommend it if you can. Only accessible by boat, but its well worth it. These structures are incredible.

Beautiful shallow water good for snorkeling and catching stingrays. Stiltsville are basically nice cabins on stilts 15 mins off Key Biscayne. Me and my wife stayed in the cabin and drove the boat back-and-forth to the mainland quite the experience.

Beautiful location to drop anchor and chill. Relatively peaceful, given the location. Cant get on any of the buildings, but you can pull up next to them.

Born in Mimi in 61 my uncle was freinds with Red Belcher owners of Belcher Oil.Mr Belcher owned one of the stilt homes in Stilts Ville. A short boat ride from Coconut Grove and we were on his dock fishing. Mr Belcher would climb down the latter with his mask and gig big lobster right from the latter. Just 5 years old we would in a couple hours load the coolers with fish. In the 60s the bay was full of fish. That house is long gone but the memories of Early Miami remain with me and my brother. Havent been on the bay in 20 years will definitely take my now grown son back where he Snorkeled catching lobster just south of the place I fished with my dad. May not be for everone but if its your thing a must see.

I used to live here before Hurricane Andrew left it uninhabitable. It was sublime. Im sure theres still great fishing among those pilings. If you have a boat, get out there. Bring a pole with a decent test on it and it will be all that more fun.

Took the kids out to tube and kayak the shoals and along the channel edges. It was good for this as long as you stay on the edge of the channels otherwise you might get run over. At low tide the water is only inches deep so careful with that.

Ive been to the A-Frame house a number of times, I used to be neighbors with the son of the man who built it.Miami is a big, busy city with constant police sirens and traffic and pollution and general ugliness. But for those who know where to look, there are small pockets of paradise that remind you of Miamis geographic location, the tropics. Stiltsville is one of those places. Its difficult to articulate how it feels to be out there, knowing that so many terrible things are happening so close to you but youre sheltered from them. Its like a mental safe-haven.

Ive seen these homes. I hope theyll be around for years to come. Too bad more cannot be built. I can support in this country for people to live there as they please. If more could be built theyd naturally be built to modern hurricane proof standards. Long live Stiltsville, Florida.
