I loved this place. Looking and learning about the man that built it for his wife, amazing . And the tour guide that takes care of the place is the best . People need to go and check this place out.
Love the story behind the construction.
Beautiful and peaceful wooded area with a historical attraction.
Very interesting! Lovely wooded camping ground. Jerry, the groundskeeper in charge, was very friendly & most helpful.
5.00$ to tour sign up on line. No pets.when you see the sign Fred Francis keep going straight on this road no turns.
You should visit Francis Park outside of Kewanee, Illinois on Route 34 east of Kewanee.Fred Francis was an eccentric. He built Woodland Palace for his ailing wife and the tour is a must! The park is in the country with camping sites. Very popular, quiet setting with hiking trails. There are restrooms.Come check it out this summer!
This place looked interesting. We were trying to just make it a stop in our day. Very disappointed that the times listed online were not accurate, so we did not get to go inside.
We love this place
