Me and my kids go here it’s very nice Love it!! Some people were yelling at others saying they own the place but they didn’t either then that a very nice place love it!!!
Very nice facility. Reasonably priced. Life guards seemed very attentive. Rules may be a bit on the strict side, but it probably comes with the territory of owning a water park. Didn’t give it 5 stars because I feel like it should have a swimming area for the older crowd. This would probably help control some of the overcrowding as well.
We visited 2 summers ago, and had a wonderful time. It is a great place for kids; clean, and several fun areas to explore and splash!
Such a wonderful place to have so close to home. Our ten year old loves going to Kettering Rec for so many reasons but Adventure Reef is the best pool in the area. Perfect for kids of all ages.
Lots of fun, but WAY too crowded with day care groups during the week!
The pools are nice. The ground are normally pretty clean. But when I went the other day I was very annoyed. First off I went to go down a water slide and was told I had to take off my necklace. Why? I have went down way bigger slides at water parks and it not been a problem. 2nd there were a pair of boxers on the ground by the boys rooms 2 employees with in 10 feet of it all day and watched them sit there for 4 hours. 3rd the food is 100% a nasty waste of money. DO NOT GET ANY FOOD HERE
You can bring your own snacks, and better than driving 45 minutes away to go elsewhere.
My 3yr old daughter love it here and all the people lol
I am not sure why they have it rated so low. It’s the best water park around.
Went for the first time today and 5 mins in they blew wistle for adult swim so we took our little ones to the baby section where the lifegaurd was proactive in making all kids over the age of 6 leave, then the storm moved in and we had to get out but they took the time to make sure everyone was safe and understood policy. We got to swim in the inside pool where the life gaurds did an amazing job keeping all the kids safe and following rules. We will definitely be back.
I got to hang out with my friends and it was fun but the amount if money was just supposed to be 10 dollars for just me and my sister but they charged us 18 dollars. That made my mom mad and we are not very happy about that. But it was a fun experience.
Great place for kids. Prices are great also.
Drew is the best lifeguard there. Hey Mr. Drew, you reading this? Also the yellow slide scrapes my back. Wonder if anyone can relate...
Always a lot of fun but sometimes very crowded.
Fun waterpark, definitely a lot to do for little children. The water isn’t very deep at all. After going down all of the slides my back hit the ground after coming down. The deepest water is about 4 ft (?). Still really fun but not sure if it was worth the $11 admission for being an out of country resident.
Too many rules and very overcrowded. Its also expensive. We visited yesterday and will no longer be going back. Bad customer service. Adult swim is called every 45 minutes and lasts for 15 minutes. They close the pool at the drop of a pen. They should have a limitation on how many people they allow to be in the park, because theres so many people that its not enjoyable. The snack shack is also overpriced and the food is less than mediocre. I paid $3.00 for a stale slice of pizza that tastes like something I could have bought as a package at Kroger and cooked in the microwave. The hot tub isnt open to anyone under 18, and the lifeguards here are constantly on you blowing whistles. The facility also discriminates against non-Kettering residents by charging extra in order to get in. Additionally, it is illegal to discriminate against people with disabilities as well. Discrimination of any person for a mental and/or physiological disorder is against the law.
Very fun as a 13 year old
It was awesome and I also won the free season pass so yes!!!!!
Took kids and they really enjoyed it. I as able to relax poolside while watching all 3 kids.
You can slide on slides and swim. Its all of the cool stuff you like about water and slides. Just dont wear a business suit in the pool because it will get messed up. And dont try to swim with your phone or a priceless work of art because they too will get ruined by the water.
This water park is discriminatory. They refused to allow a Type 1 diabetic little girl to wear her pod/pump and CGM while on the slides. They told her she had to remove them. These are MEDICAL DEVICES and cannot be removed!!!!!! ABSOLUTELY DESPICABLE!!!!! The staff need to be trained on the law and what it means to discriminate. Shame on you!!!!!!!
Was very fun for the whole family
My son loves this water park but gets really crowded and congested! Too many people to really enjoy the pool cant swim around because too many people in the water. Standing room only! Only has a 3ft outdoor pool
Favorite place to go over summer break
This place needs to educate themselves on how illegal and morally wrong to discriminate against anyone especially a child for having medical needs. To tell a child to take off a waterproof medical device that is ultimately keeping her alive is disgraceful. You not only ruined her day but you upset a whole community of people that have to live with this horrible disease every day of their life.
I loved it. the water is not deep at all. But i wish there was more to do.
I would give zero stars if possible. I am outraged that a young girl with type 1 Diabetes wearing a insulin pump and a continuous blood sugar device, both waterproof, was told she could not go on any slides. This girl has a autoimmune disease, it is nothing she ate, nothing she did, but must live with this horrible disease until there is a cure. Denying her access is outright illegal. Its blatant discrimination. Please boycott this park. Discrimination at a supposed childrens place for fun is not ok. Imagine if theirs were your child. Outrageous!
LOVED IT EVEN THOUGH WE STAYED FOR A SHORT TIME WE ALSO SPENT MORE MONEY AT ANOTHER WATERPARK THIS CHOICE WAS #2 AND IT WAS BETTER THAN #1 THUMBS UP N E TIME
I want to comment about everyone thats complaining about that Lil girl with the insulin pump not being able to go on the slides. First off, water slides can be bumpy, one hit and it could malfunction and boom theres a problem. Secondly, the impact of the water could mess it up also. Since when is it okay to complain like children about a life guard saying hey yaknow I dont think its safe for you to be doing that so Im going to take precautions and restrict the slide. Rude or not theres reasons behind everyones choices. Half yall complaining and it wasnt even your child. I think this place is awesome Ive been going since I was 8 years old. Fun times.
Only complaint is from my 8yr old, she wants deeper pools and diving boards, aside from that the water park is great!
As a mom of a child with a disability, I was horrified to hear of this park not allowing a child with type 1 diabetes to ride their water slides with a small unobtrusive patch insulin pump. When they went to management about the legalities of this, they were dismissed without the dignity of discussion. This park needs to be educated!!!!!
Nice enough place . Chairs fill up quick, but plenty of space to lay down a blanket.
My kids really enjoy it, wish there was more of a actual pool outside. And maybe not so many daycares at one time
There were too many kids unattended, made a fun day rough
Discriminating against a child with a life threatening disease is unacceptable. My child with type 1 diabetes has gone down hundreds of slides with her life saving medical equipment attached to her arms and not once has she been told no. Its outrageous this water park refused to let a type 1 diabetic child go down a slide because of her insulin pump! Im actually very understanding of those who need education of type 1 diabtetes, but this parks response wasnt even close to wanting to learn, understand, accept, and change.
Too many children. But over all a great water park!
This kid friendly water park is great as long as you dont have a medical condition. In that case you are no longer allowed to be a kid and instead must grow up in a millisecond and learn to hide the pain and shame associated with being discriminated against for something completely out of your control. Shame on you adventure reef waterpark and your ignorance and inability to educate yourself. Insulin pumps and cgms are designed to be worn in water so kids can always be kids. Its a novel idea I know.
Great way to beat the heat
The prices are amazing even if your not a local and it is very family friendly.
Love this water park! The pools are designed for all ages. There is something for everyone to enjoy♡ check it out and have fun
Kid review: Awesome. Big slide was cool.
Excellent place to take your whole family! We went to a birthday party here and it is awesome!
This park refused to let a young girl with Type one Diabetes ride a slide because of her insulin pump. The insulin pump is water proof and unable to be taken off. How dare you! Its illegal and the poor girl was mortified. She lives a difficult life as it is and you would not let her be a kid and ride a slide???
Very limited space to enjoy it and watch your kids. Do not sit on walls everywhere. Pool had way too many things floating in it, including pieces of wigs
Great space for kids of all agesEasy to keep track of them all while relaxing.
I wish I could leave a 1 star review. Places that dont allow insulin pumps or Continuous Glucose Monitors are a no go for our family. Very disappointed that a family friendly place has turned so unfriendly.
My daughter loves it here. Several different slides. The whirl pool is our favorite.
Great water park
Everyone was very nice & helpfulAlso, the price was reasonable. My kids had a great time as well as I
Horrible that this place discriminates against kids with insulin pumps. If they can fly on airplanes and go on rides at Disney, Im pretty sure your water park would be fine.
This place seems to be in dire need of some education about the American Disabilities Act. Thus far Ive heard of them denying a girl with a prosthetic leg and a girl with small life saving diabetes devices on her body from going down their water slides (can you imagine the horror at being told you must remove your leg to go down the slide? And what was she supposed to do had she removed it? Was she supposed to climb all the way back up the stairs (with only one leg) to the top of the slide to retrieve her leg at the end when she was done?) Abdoutely ridiculous. And as for the young girl denied with an Omnipod insulin pump and a CGM on her body (these are small life saving medical devices for Type 1 diabetics). Both devices are designed to be waterproof, endure even rough contact sports, and *do not come off* unless needing to be replaced. So requiring that they be removed to go down the slides is straight up descrimination and makes no sense since plenty of other water parks around the country allow such devices. Management refused to be educated and wouldnt listen to any of the above information. Appalling.
Not happy, I stood in line for 15 minutes til it opened at 12:00 only to be told I couldnt get in til 12:30 because Im a non- resident. First of all were paying double to get in and the money goes to kettering so why do non-residents have to wait an additional 30 minutes to get in. I think you need to rethink that rule, js!
Is it possible to give 0 stars? If so that is what I am giving. This waterpark is not ADA compliant and discriminates against diabetics! They refused to let a child, a BEAUTIFUL little girl, enjoy a waterslide because she was wearing her lifesaving insulin pump!!! They are a disgrace! Heartbreakingly disgusting!
Discrimination against a type 1 diabetic child on rides!!! Never go to this place. They are awful and their management team is demeaning, arrogant and clueless. If you run a waterpark and are in any type of management position you should have basic knowledgeable in differnt types of diseases that children suffer. If my t1 child can get through security to get on an airplane Im pretty sure they can go on a water ride at a waterpark. Ridiculous.
I spent there all summer months during pregnancy. My eldest son so much likes this Waterpark.
Very cool place and not too expensive - just can be very crowded.
Very fun and affordable place for families to play and cool off in the summer.
First off the pricing is outrageous given the fact that Its a very modest set of pools and way overcrowded. Most of the pools are designated for the slides. The facility is marketed and geared towards children, but not child friendly. Every staff member I came into contact with was rude and incompetent. Overall, a terrible experience.
I was so disappointed to find out a young girl was refused access to the slides due to a medical condition. Her insulin pump, a life saving device that can not be removed and will no way interfere with park safety disqualified her from the attractions. My glasses are more of a hazard then her pump. This is also illegal. I
Nice water park with a couple water slides and a kid Zone.
We love it here as a family.
I havent went het but i was wondering what time it closes im sure i will love it there but i was also wondering how tall you had to be to go down the slides and i know they have a indoor and outdoor pool but im asking questions about the outdoor pool so if anyone would like to write me back i will be more than happythank you!
Nice and fun!
As a mother of a T1D, I will never bring my child here. They told a Diabetic child she had to remove her life saving insulin pump or she couldnt ride the slide. Discrimination!!! Disgusting!!!
Great for children, not so much for adults. Needs deeper water to relax in. Too crowded.
Great place for family and kids!
It is so much fun to play there
Refreshing. Summer place
Fun
Telling a child that they cant use the slide because they wear an insulin pump that is waterproof is asinine. Will never go to this place again since I have a diabetic child too.
Fun with kids
Its a great experience but it can get crowded
The boys bathroom was nasty and their were to many rules
Fun but over priced for what it is.
Great place
This lifeguard saved my life, he said his name was Drew Gleason, so if you talk to him say thank you for me!
Great for the kiddos
Great place for kids!
I love it
Discriminatory
Wish a zero star option was available . Discrimination of any kind is unacceptable, but its even more disgusting when you discriminate against a child.
I cant believe you are discriminating a child for having an autoimmune disease and potentially putting their life on the line because you dont understand the disease and dont care to.i will never step foot into your business and will let everyone I know how horrible your establishment is
They discriminate.
Awsome sauce place
Love this place check it out
Discriminatory.
Over crowded, terrible customer service and an uneducated staff are enough to keep me from ever visiting this park...
Fun, affordable and something for all ages
They have a nice pool
Love it
I hate the part when it rains they dont give to us when I went to cashier to pay and after i pay couple minutes about to change to go to swim it rained and we just got here so they wont even give us our money never come here again
Needs to be open on MONDAYS!!!
Too much urine in the pool
Wonderful
Love
It was awesome.
