We’ve belonged to this place for 5 years, and today we noticed that the gym was at a capacity, nearly 50 people, none of whom were wearing a mask or obeying social distancing, not even their staff. No one enforcing hygiene. We complained to the front desk, and we were told “no one needs to wear a mask while working out.” Nonsense. You can wear a mask while weightlifting. You can have your staff behave like this is still a pandemic and people are still at risk of getting sick. You can limit the numbers to avoid transmission. I’m disgusted. If there were a place to report this, I would.

Love this place! We are always here my daughter plays basketball and soccer here and we go for occasional swimming and fun events like wagoween and sometimes even ice skating!

First class facility. Everything is clean and well maintained. The fitness equipment the same as at high cost gyms. Those of us that work or live in Kettering are lucky to have this available. This is a 24/7, 365 blessing that every community should provide for their residents. Well done Kettering.

Great gym. A lot of equipment. Its very clean. The locker room is pretty spotless. I havent had the chance to use the pool or other amenities but i have walked through and they also seem very nice. It can get pretty crowded in the evenings but any gym does. Overall i highly recommend it

This rating is solely based off of a first impression. I went for a health fair that Kettering Health Network hosted. They offered free exercise classes, a health lecture, and a cooking demo. From what I could tell the center has a lot of activities to offer I would definitely go again. A very family-friendly facility, lots of parking which depending on what time of day you arrive you may have a nice walk to the building. This is a nice size facility.

Love the exercise classes at KRC...good teachers & reasonable membership plans.

We came to watch a womens hockey game and had a good time. The arena is older and could probably stand an upgrade, but we enjoyed ourselves nonetheless. They have vending machines and a concession stand. The restrooms were clean.

So many activities for all ages. The facility is very clean and all of the people that work there are very friendly and helpful.

We have a family tradition here on New Years eve. Ice skate, bounce houses, open gym, and the swimming pool are all available to use for one very affordable price. Take your kids here for the New Year celebration. My only complaint is that it only lasts a few hours so its difficult to make it to all of the activities for everyone. Even just one extra hour, either early or later, would make it even that much better. But not a big enough complaint to keep us away. I think weve been going on the last day of the year for 5 straight years now!

Excellent recreational center. Indoor track, basketball hoops, weight room, fitness classes, and indoor pool. They have a seasonal ice skating rink with lockers for storage. Rooms can be rented for parties of multiple sizes. They also have a water park in the back which is accommodating to kids of all ages. The summer camp programs are very entertaining and offer a wide variety of activities.

I always loved this place as a kid, but coming back its disappointing to see the beautiful wooded park I grew up playing in to be cut down to practically nothing. The Kettering Recreation Center is still a lovely place to visit and is an exceptional site.

I have the resident pass for $16/month. So pleased with all the facilities. I use the exercise/weight gym and track 3 times a week -- more than enough equipment and machines to accommodate a fairly busy membership. The padded track is great for me, as running on hard surfaces gives me shin splints. I also love taking my little boy to the family open gym on Sundays ($5 per resident family), when they lower some of the rims for small children.

Great place for kids of all ages. The out door water park has 5 slides and the wading pool is 2.5 feet at the deepest point so its perfect for my 5 year old. There is also a baby pool and a toddler fountain area which is really nice. Great staff on duty. They are very observant of all the kids.

This is where the annual City of Kettering touch a truck happens the first Saturday in June every year starting at 9 am!

Had a wonderful first experience at the Adventure Reef Water Park. There were appropriately placed guards, and plenty of places to sit, stand, splash, swim with our three boys.My husband and I even took a turn on the big slides. Will definitely be back!

Great family fun area for many different ages. Took my 9 year old daughter to it and she had a blast. Splash ground area is still open while adult swim is going on (15minute break for kids), has a small looping slide and two large slides. None of the pools are more than 3 ft 6 in so alot of children arent excluded from the fun. If they are shorter they just have to pass a swim test. Not a bad price to get in either. Definitely a fun day in the sun and water.

Went for a judo competition, they dont have a food place that I saw only vending machines. These matches are very long in hours, and not having real food is hard on kids, other than that nice building

Clean facility. But often crowded. And some of there lifegaurds can be a little too whistle happy. But I love the indoor area and the hot tub. The outdoor area is rather boring even for my 12 yr old. But great for babies to maybe 8

Quite cramped for a swim meet! Several oddly times breaks that made an already lengthy meet take even longer. The facility was nice, however.

The staff is always friendly, supportive, informative and eager to serve you. The wide variety of services is great. All areas are well maintained and clean. If you are going to frequently use the facilities often, they have seasonal and all year round passes at a very affordable fee. The water park is one of the best in the area and great bang for the buck. For ice skating, pool, gym and sport facilities is a great attribute to Kettering and surrounding areas.

Great gym for singles and families! They have clean, updated equipment and a nicely maintained indoor track to run or walk on during inclement weather. It’s in a nice area and you get a discount if you’re a Kettering resident or if you work in Kettering!

This place is always busy. Super crowded. Never enough space. Its nice, no doubt. Always busy.

I would give 5 stars but the change in the discgolf course was for the negative. Loved the way it was before construction. The new course gets confusing through the woods. Still overall good course and nice clean park

I love the Kettering Rec Center, been coming here since I was a kid. The indoor pool is great, especially the swimming lessons they offer for kids. Membership prices arent bad if you are a Kettering resident, and the facilities are always clean and kept up very well. My daughter loves the water park, which can get really crowded in the summer but if you go at the right time, its excellent.

The Rec center is part of the reason I live in Kettering. It’s a great place to stay active and have fun.

My son goes to camp here and we have also done a few classes here. All the staff are nice and helpful in my experience and he loves the camps and the camp counselors. The facilities are nice and there is a lot to do there.

I love all the kids art and cooking classes/activities during the week and weekend. We don’t reside in Kettering but we are welcomed!

Great facility. I especially love their drop-in exercise classes. The pool is open year round and the pool + water park is fun in the summer. The building and grounds are always clean and well cared for and the staff and instructors are super friendly and helpful.

Down here in kettering, the people are really friendly.And the shops have good food.

Its a nice pool but they took out the slide and the high dive.

This is a great place for family oriented activities. The weight room is a bit outdated but its okay because you dont pay a high price to get in. Lots of friendly people. The age of the people in the weight room varies accross all age groups. This place is riddled with school practices so check that before trying to get on the ice or the pool or basketball courts

NO SECURITY CAMERAS IN PARKING LOT. Next to no help when someone broke the back window out of my wifes Jeep, IN BROAD DAYLIGHT, and stole her purse. otherwise, the facility itself is very nice.

I had a wonderful time at the center. The people were very warm and supportive. In no time my taxes were done and I left with a big smile.

Nice facility. Many fun things to do. They offer many different activities to kids and adults. The swim team is great!

My kids take many different classes there and attend camps. We are never disappointed and the kids absolutely love and look forward to every activity they participate in I Kettering Rec Center.

If you are a Kettering resident, for the price, this place is amazing. The gym equipment and facility is pretty great. Considerably less expensive than any other gym in the area. I have not looked into the pool or ice rink...but those are amenities that arent offered by most other gyms in the area.

Love working out at the Kettering rec every thing you need for whatever youre workout needs are.

Ran about a million laps on the indoor track! It would certainly be better for a slow jog or walking but you cant beat a free (for residents) indoor track when the weather is bad.

The class are great and so is the environment.

A recreation center that has it all! Ice skating rink, senior center, weight room, aerobic rooms, Olympic pool, basket ball court, indoor track and out door pools. Reasonable Membership fees.

Very good workout rooms but your going to pay out your butt for a member ship $235 a year none resident but if you put it on a visa its $35 DOLLARS a month for a year

Love the Kettering Rec Center. My husband uses the Fitness center and I use the walking track. Theres something to do for any age.
