We love skating here! My 5 year old skates at least one time a week and this is our favorite skating place in all of winston salem! And theres always a cop on duty to keep the teens acting right! Great family place to spend time having fun!

We absolutely had a blast!! Take your kids and go there either during the session on the weekend during the day or early evening. Gets a little crowded in the evening session.

This place is amazing! Mrs. O the manager was absolutely wonderful. She stopped to talk to us throughout the evening. And when my daughter fell, her staff acted quickly keeping other kids from crashing in to her. And she came over to check on her. Turns out she did fracture it. But I give a huge thank you to this amazing place that actually cares about the kids who walk through the door.

Owner was very nice, however, a few staff members are rude!! They treat some of the kids like it is a boot camp! Yelling out dress codes over the loud speaker and the saying “got anything to say about it”. My daughter is not a great skater and wanted to go with her friends. I was hesitant because I rarely let her go without me. When she called me crying I was really angry. She was told she had to leave the side of the rink because she took her skates off 3 minutes before they closed. She asked if she could wait on her friends but a very loud, obnoxious, controlling, and aggressive woman told her to keep walking or she would have the policeman escort her out. She accused her of closing the door in her face. Once she was crying in the front lobby she asked the woman to leave her alone. The woman told her she “had the authority to be there” and that my daughter could not come back. When I called back to talk to the owner they told me my daughter refused to take her skates off which my daughter and the rude employee both said it all occurred because she had her skates off. The owner was mad that I asked if the reason they acted so aggressively was because the group of kids was primarily black and they assumed they where trouble. She told me just to keep taking my daughter to Winston to skate. Don’t go there if you wear spaghetti strap tank tops or crop tops. That is apparently against the family atmosphere dress code. Very outdated building and mindset. Ran like a boot camp for problem teens. They made people put on jackets that had their back showing. So weird and aggressive!

Very fun!! Good price. Lots of staff supervising the area to help if someone falls and gets hurt. The only things I didnt really like were that onlookers would stand along one wall talking to skaters and would not move, which makes it very tricky for beginner skaters, because theyd have to somehow maneuver around that crowd with no bumper to hold on to. Also, some of the bars are covered in duct tape, but theres one section that is just metal with little or no tape. I was afraid I would fall and hit my head or crack my teeth on that section of bars.

Fantastic family place with good security and they watch over the kids during skate nights thru the school.

We love skating at this old fashioned, family owned skate rink in Kernersville! We try to come most fundraiser School Nights. School Nights are fun and interactive, the kids have lots of fun and burn a lot of energy! I love to put on the skates, too. There are adults skating and Skate World is fun for the whole family. Skate rental is available and you can also buy your own skates. Concessions are reasonably priced and there is an arcade. Good parking, though the spaces are a little tight for larger vehicles.

Love it...fun! They are great and watch our children like their own (when we drop off). School skate nights (but remember must attend that school & remember to get your child(ren)s homework pass) are great less crowded than Fridays and Saturdays.

Great place to go for fun for the kids. School skate nights are priced reasonably and they have fun. The cash only policy is frustrating though. Yes theres an ATM at the facility but it is very inconvenient to have to get cash.

Great skating rink and very friendly staff. Food is really bad, mostly microwaved.Cheap place to go to and have fun with your kids. Rentals are of good quality and quite in a good shape compared to other places. Large parking lot.

My 13yo daughter wanted to go skating with her friends on Fri night (Teen Night). She had never been so we made it a family affair and went with her and brought her 5 yo sister. The 5 yo was clearly the youngest and my husband and I were the oldest for Friday night. The rink was packed with kids!!! I was really nervous with having my little one there because she was determined to skate and doesnt know how. The staff was AMAZING!!! They helped us out. Allowed me to walk around the rink with the little one and checked on us several times. The teens all had a great time and it seemed very safe. Well be going back-on Saturdays for the youngest and will let my oldest enjoy her time. Thanks for bringing back a lot of childhood memories!

There is still at least one place that caters to true childrens entertainment/recreation! They do a good job, of not only providing a place for kids to go. But they higher some as they become teenagers. Mike (owner) also gets to know each child and family. Really is a unique place.

2 hour sessions during the week. Perfect for socializing your kid and getting to bed at a reasonable time.

Friendly staff that is very helpful. It you went to Skate World as a child it will be a familiar place as it doesnt appear to have changed much. It is a fun place that does not cost alit of money. They rent roller skates and inline skates. You can also bring your own. My kids love going and always have a blast skating or playing the arcade games.

Thrown many parties there for my little boy & have been invited to lots of them there also.The place is still kickn as it was back in the day, many many years ago. Very nice people who run the place & love the family owners. My parents were friends with them once apon a time, still are to those that are still here & they miss the 1s that arent.Great place for all. . .

A place where kids and teens around here have been going for decades. They sell food and snacks, non-alcoholic drinks. They have wifi for the parents that need to hang around for their kids. They offer skate rental, but bring your own socks.

Lol i mean i use to go here and ever since i moved i went to skate land of clemmons and its 100x better now i skate for Piedmont Racing thanks to skate world the place that tought me how to skate not speed skate im on a REAL team anyway i went back a while ago and the floor felt like ice and i skate on new 97a monzas i asked a worker the last time they put roll on was and he didnt even know what it was all in all if you want a good rink Skate Land USA of clemmons is the place to go

Don’t even deserve a one star. I brought my sister to skate on Friday night and they told me I had to pay $8 to get in and for skates when I’m pregnant. I paid, came in and was standing just watching my sister. A lady worker came to me after telling the owner that I didn’t have skates on and told me I had to have skates on. I then told her I was pregnant and she said well he runs the place and it’s his rules. She made me put skates on. And told me that I could jus sit the whole time. Then I could not go to the bathroom, I couldn’t even get up to check my sister and see if she was okay because I couldn’t take my skates off. Very disappointed with what skate world has become. Will NEVER come here again!!!

Great place to bring kids from 6-12. Not for the younger kids. The foods crappy but pretty cheap, its good enough for the kids but not for a waiting parent. A little dirty and outdated, could use some tlc. My daughter thats 8 loves going there with her friends. Its $5 per child skating.

THIS IS A GUY WHO USED TO LOVE SKATING HERE BUT HAD TO USE MY GIRLFRIENDS PHONE TO RATE THIS PLACE SINCE IT CLOSES TOO EARLY DURING THE WEEK MOST TIMES I SEE ON GOOGLE AND GOING TO RATE IT FROM MY PHONE TOO THIS PLACE CLOSES AT 4PM AND5PM NOW SOMETIMES 6PM HOURS MAY HAVE CHANGED IM NOT SURE THIS PLACE USED TO STAY OPEN UNTIL 11PM ALOT IM 27 YEARS OLD AND HAVENT SKATED HERE SINCE THE 90’S AS A KID AND HAVE BEEN TRYING GO AFTER 1PM OR 2PM SINCE MY GIRLFRIEND WORKS 1ST SHIFT IT TOO LATE IN THE AFTERNOON AFTER SHE GETS HOME TO RELAX FOR A WHILE TO BOTHER GOING BECAUSE THIS PLACE ONLY STAYS OPEN 2 HOURS MOST TIMES AFTER SHE GETS OFF WORK IS NEVER OPEN UNTIL 11PM ANYMORE VERY RARELY THAT I SEE, PROBABLY GOING TOHAVE TO FIND ANOTHER SKATE RINK TO GO TO SINCE THIS ONE CLOSES TOO EARLY DURING THE WEEK IF THIS PLACE WILL STAY OPEN UNTIL 11PM AT LEAST 4-5 DAYS OF THE WEEK I WILL RATE THIS PLACE A 5 STAR. ️️️️️️️
