This is a nice little course. Not very long with very getable par 5s. The greens have seen a lot of play and water. If people would repair ball marks they would be better. Try this place out. U will enjoy it.
I live in the Pine Knolls Golfing Community and play quite a bit of golf. My family loves the neighborhood and the golf course. The owner Jim is really nice guy and is taking great care of the course. The Golf Pro Ryan is great and always takes care of me. The course is in fantastic condition right now. We do get a lot of public play so make sure to get a tee time in advance, especially on Friday, Saturday, or Sundays.
Good course, played well until 2 double bogeys on the back. Still carded a 77 so was happy. Need folks to learn how to fix ballmarks.
I live in the Pine Knolls neighborhood and all the people here are friendly and keep their home exterior looking nice. We have an outdoor swim club also in the summer. The owner of the golf course does an excellent job of upkeep and has updated many features on the course.
Good Course. Nice and Quiet. Friendly Staff. Reasonably priced!
I wanted to go here to learn how to play golf, keep in mind I have no experience. I was just calling to see the price and asked how much the golf carts will be, Chris proceeded to be rude. Finally giving me a cost after making me feel dumb for even calling to ask.
Course has a good layout for all skill level golfers. Pro is a great guy. For the money, you can’t beat it and close to everywhere.
Great track for the money. Everything from tree to green is in good shape.
Golf course is in great shape and the greens are good as I have ever seen them, really smooth with a true roll
Great course, had a great time with my best man and our lady friends.
Great location! Beautiful setting! Great pool!
As always.very shot demanding. The fareways were.clumpy with grass, where they mowed after the rains they have and havent, mowed till today. It stoped lot of Balls from rolling.
Enjoyed the course. It is in nice shape. Staff is friendly.
The course was in very solid shape. Good price. The head pro was a great guy. He hooked my little guy up with balls, a tee, and a iron and putter. Thanks!
Great club for the price, nice pool also
Pine Knolls was in good shape given the lack of rain over the last several weeks. Staff is helpful and friendly. New gas carts are nice.
Based on reviews, I played this course while on a trip to central North Carolina to visit friends. It was a very good choice. The price was $18 to walk on a Thursday late morning and even though it was fairly busy, I played 18 in just over 3 hours. The layout is varied and generally in good shape. Water comes into play on about three or four holes and there is a fair amount of elevation changes. Even though I have never before seen Pine Knolls, I could see some new bridges over streams and other improvements in the works. The bottom line is that this course seems to be on the upturn and well worth playing based on the price and the quality of the course.
Great golf course had so much fun well kept greens good fairways good
Great golf course, great restaurant. The staff and owner are very friendly and polite. Thats why I still play and eat there.
Fun country course with hidden creeks. Back 9 is more challenging than the front. Great price and we appreciate that they allow kids 11 and under golf for free! Staff is always extremely welcoming.
Very nice course with extremely reasonable pricing. Great all around experience!
Excellent course with wide fairways. Some problems with drainage so avoid after heavy rains. Otherwise nice. Clubhouse has a grill.
Golf. Course was awesome shape just wish I scored better woohoo
Nice older course had fun playing.
We were invited for a party but the pool itself was much busier than we were expecting or used to. It was great to see multiple lifeguards out and clearly watching everything, since it was so crowded. Otherwise, a nice place.
Good course and good people.
Real good golf course for the price
I personally dont like the neighborhood not a good place to hang out not at all
Very shady place, lots of rednecks running the show. Old timers harassing women and young girls in the bar area making very vulgar remarks. Definitely not somewhere I would take any female. Greens could be better was disappointing to see all the grounds keepers out running tractors and equipment around the hole as you are golfing.
Ive played golf all over the Triad. This little country course is a gem. The staff are friendly, and the grounds are kept very playable. This is a great place for a round with friends. It isnt the longest or most challenging course in the Triad, but I keep going back. Pricing is reasonable and greens are almost always in good shape.
Fair prices, decent course condition
Great value for the money. Not an extremely challenging course, 6400 frim the blues, but there are some interesting holes and the greens are decent for this price level
Nice course.
So, if you looking for a fancy golf club, this isnt it. This is a nice, old school, reasonably priced set of links with some nice people running it.
Great place to play golf !
My neighborhood!! I have the best child hood memories of Pine Knolls!
Great value for golf. Looks more impressive after they took down alot of trees a few years ago
Its a fun place to play golf and the price is fair
Good gold course
Little known course but great to play especially for the price!
Good course, great condition
Bent grass greens that are unfortunately not kept up as good as they could be by patrons having a little golf etiquette. A fun little loop regardless. 6800 from the back and all 4 par 5s were reachable with an iron. There are a few blind teeshots, but there is more room than it looks. For 24$ on a Friday morning, the club price was cheaper than golf now. Friendly staff all across. The greens are a hybrid a1a4 bent mix. They rolled a little slow, maybe 9.5 on the stemp. The fairways are in great shape. The course drains well and the ball goes a mile on the firm surfaces. That was the biggest judgement because the greens were unnaturally firm for slow bent grass. The greens are small and will test you at keeping it in target. On average the greens are probably around 5k square feet. If youre on in regulation, the putt is probably going to be manageable. There are very few greens that are more than 25 yards deep. Overall it was a lot of fun. Its a nice confidence booster if you are getting ready for a tournament. The birdies are out there.
Course in very good shape, very playable by seniors and others alike. Great staff.
