Great park!!! Highway 136 is one of my favorite motorcycle routes through Missouri and Illinois. I always stop at this park in Keokuk. Great views of the River, bridge, and locks. The dam is their and power plant. It’s a nice place for picnic.

All the recent updates have made the park and riverfront really nice to be at and take walks along.

Really neat place right on the Mississippi River. Within walking distance you can watch barges and their rugs go thru the lock. There is an old steam tugon dry display that is a museum and for a small fee you can tour it. Well worth a stop.

The picnic tables are nice, but infested with spiders and wasps. We sat on the bench and watched the river. They are otherwise clean and have quite a few trash cans. No toys for kids, but there is a good view.

What a great asset for the Kuk!

Victory Park is a very well kept park with plenty of seating areas,some with tables and overhead protection...one is quite large. It also has a nice restroom area and drinking fountain and plenty of parking space.

Sons wedding was here - I remember when it was the only bridge across (toll $0.25 first - then I think it was $0.50) until it was replaced. I used to walk and bicycle across as a kid. They installed wooden planks over the open steel grate floor so its not scary anymore.

The music was amazing! Really enjoyed listening to it this weekend! Looking forward to next year we had the perfect weather too!

Great for eagle viewing on a cold day!

It is a wonderful place to watch the river flow...birds including eagles. Barges passing up and down. Dont miss the eagle watching!

Was there for the last day of RAGBRAI. The park had been flooded for a long time so it was hurt by that, but the event was perfect and the park fit perfect.

A very lovely area to relax and enjoy the view overlooking the Mississippi River.

Great view of the riverfront. You can even catch a frieght train going by or a barge passing through the lock-and-dam.or if your a history-buf, you can view an old Mississippi River Boat and some memorials here. Not much of a place to bring your kids to play though as there isnt much for playground equipment.If youre a Pokemon GO trainer, there are lots of poke-stops and gyms here.

Helped clean up the shelter house

Improvements to the park.. shelter house, restrooms, climbing toy.. are all great additions. Its turning into a very nice park, except when the Mormon flies are out.

I guess you could say, with this being the best park around.. that its the victor.

The riverfront is starting to look amazing and really is a relaxing place at times to watch the boats and barges if they go through.

They. have restrooms they built over a year ago but they are never unlocked there is only picnic tables no equipment for children anymore but there is a fantastic view of the river in my opinion it should be called a rest area instead of a park

Such a great place for a picnic at the new shelter house, drive down and check it out.

Execllent place to take your kids. All new play equipment. Something for everyone.

Visited the Geo. M. Verity steam-powered paddlewheel towboat formerly the S.S. Thorpe. Nice piece of history sitting in Victory Park.

Relaxing setting along the river, under the bridge always offers shade and a little breeze... Just finished pouring sidewalks w/ Josh Leggett for the city as part of the new shelter house, restrooms and playground renovation project....

Nice visit to Keokuk visiting friends had a lil lunch and enjoyed the view of the Mississippi river.

If you are reserving shelter house, I suggest you go early to clean as it was very dirty
