Locked Up - Grand Rapids Escape Room Experience

Really great experience! I had questions about booking and they were really informative and helped me to pick the best room for our needs. The game itself was fantastic. We really enjoyed the variety of the puzzles. Will definitely be back soon!

Me and my crew went and did the Midnight Carnival escape room recently. Even though we were unable to escape, it was still a really fun experience. This is the second room weve done in this establishment and we will continue to do more here! Shouts to Kameron who instructed us on the room and being an all around great instructor.

Our group didnt finish, but we got very close, and everyone seemed to have a really good time doing it. They were very thorough in explaining the rules and the way locks worked in the rooms, and offered hints when we were very obviously stuck. Would definitely do this again.

This was so much fun! The room was challenging but we made it out with time to spare. I highly recommend Locked Up and Dana was a fabulous host to our adventure.

Loved it! The perfect amount of time (we had 3+ min to spare), the perfect amount of puzzles and excellent clues. Would do again and would recommend.

I picked an early time on a weeknight since it was just my 8 year old and myself and it was perfect! We were able to try our first escape room by ourselves, and Dana was super helpful. It was so fun that my son could help, plus if you get stuck, you get hints so youre not dead in the water. We were only a couple steps away and my son was able to see what we missed when we were done. I loved it and I think my son is hooked!

What an amazing escape room! We did Attica. It was hard and we didnt succeed in escaping but we came close! The fun and the quality of the experience was first class. Very clean, bright atmosphere and the setting and props were great! We would definitely do it again and highly recommend it to anyone!

We had so much fun. It was very challenging. We 4 almost got out! We will for sure with the next room we try!

Pretty standard escape room. Had a great hostEdit: very weird response to my review from owner. Yes, I am sure I reviewed the right place. Losing a star for that.

Wonderful!!! So much fun with a group of 4. I would recommend this place for sure!

Great fun with the family! The puzzles were well thought out and not too difficult. I would recommend!

Had a blast, look forward to going back. Would definitely recommend this to everyone.

First time going to an escape room. Puzzles were challenging but not overwhelming. There is an out if you need to take a call and then return. Good experience and staff was great. Would go back to try a different room.

What a great place for intellectual exercise, friendly entertainment, teamwork trials & much more in a well dressed fantasy theater experience. The escape Alcatraz(titled Devils Island) room was a thrilling prison movie adventure with only the most exciting scenes being played. The set looked out of a classic black & white prison escape movie(apparently accurate to the original location.) The clues, maps, mysteries & puzzles where enjoyably challenging to everyone, even though we didnt solve it. The time limits felt just perfect & the on screen clues worked fine. As a couple, we worked with the other 7 people of a birthday party imprisoned with us as a good team. They were kind & greeted us warmly. The staff were all very nice & informative on the phone(including full descriptions of all the rooms) along with before & after the experience. Great place, enthralling game & a pleasant time spent with others.Cant wait to try Bonnie & Clyde!

Great experience! Lots of puzzles and numbers. Would have been nice to have more than 2 people at times. Will have to try the other rooms!

This was my first escape room experience, and I had quite a bit of fun. There was a few times the coordinator had to come into the room because it wasn’t reset correctly, which killed the vibe a little bit. Also, the room that our group (group of 9) did was setup so that clues were all sequential, so the whole group moved to the same clues. Overall, though, it was still a very fun experience and I’d like to check out their other rooms!

We did not escape since the puzzles were a bit on the tough side, but the room was well designed and the staff was very helpful. Still a fun time!

So much more than what we expected. Rules were explained well and hints along the way helped us stay on track. We will definitely be back!!! So much fun. Would definitely recommend!

Great Experience! My team struggled a bit but Dana (the owner) helped us out. The contaminated room was so much fun and I recommend it a lot.

Great experience for celebrating parents 50th anniversary with the entire family - guys in one room, girls in another. Our 4 children ages 11-14 especially got into it, so excited when a lockbox or door was opened! Extremely clean facility. Host Dana went above and beyond, even giving us additional time in the rooms! If you enjoy a challenge, give it a try!

This was a super fun experience with well thought out escape rooms! One of the employees wasnt very welcoming, which is the only reason Locked Up gets only 4 stars out of 5. Id definitely go again, multiple rooms to go to (we went to the circus themed one, recommend).

We did the contaminated room! Super fun and challenging! Lots of different puzzles to solve for the entire family. Super nice staff and tons of fun. I would highly recommend them!

We were excited to go at first but when we got there they said they would prefer us to go in with the family that was there(when we were going to wait for the next room at 8:30 instead of 7). So we agreed and it ended up killing the experience. My husband and I didn’t really get to help or even look at most of the clues because the family kept taking the items that were found. Probably will not go to another escape room because that was not the experience that we were wanting.

We had such a great time in The American Bank Robbery room! GThey gave clues in a timely manner and helped us keep moving forward. Cant wait to go again!

Very good. Almost escaped

Our group bought 8 tickets ahead for the midnight carnival room, however when we arrived- this room was “already started” (people were literally walking to our room and we were told to “hang back?”) and we “could join them and it won’t matter bc they (two girls) would need our help.” Cool... although it wasn’t clear why they got the head start, our group is friendly and welcomed them. We thought things were great until one of them randomly left the room. A staff member came back shortly after the girl reuturned to let her and the other girl know they could “join another room in progress.” Turns out they did NOT want our help and tattled to get a new room. While we didn’t start our original room, we stuck it out despite it! We didn’t get out, sadly- but with the drama- we could have used a few more seconds. We heard they got out while walking out. “16 seconds to go!” They exclaimed. While staff was kind, we def did not get a fair shot with all the room changing and the late start. We all could have started together at the beginning but our group was told to “hang back.” A lot just didn’t add up, and our group felt slighted- def not the night we had in mind. Sadly, we probably won’t be back.

The puzzle was challenging but still fun and Dana, our Game Master, was great!

We are dedicated to making our escape room a very unique experience! One of the few that offers multi room games! Also an escape room where 12 or more players can enjoy the room with plenty of space to spare! Our lobby is extremely beautiful, and you never have to worry about any crazy clowns or scary things in our rooms! We are a challenging escape room but also family friendly! Can’t wait to have you visit!

The owner/manager went out of her way to make this experience the best. She drove up from Indiana after our reservation was almost cancelled because of staffing problems. She drove 4 hours round trip to ensure our party had the time of our lives and ensured a memorable birthday party for a very good friend.

Booked this room for my sons 10th birthday. They seriously went above and beyond for his birthday! They not only hid his present in the room as a part of the game, they also gave him a gift! Highly recommend this place! Such a wonderful experience and the staff was excellent!

It was fun. We did it with 4 people. Very nice building, and the staff was great.

Had the best experience here last weekend! I got a group of girls together for girls night and we had a blast! The staff definitely knows what they’re doing and the quality of the rooms are top notch! It was challenging but so much fun!!!!

What a fun experience! Lobby was stunning. Rooms are fun and challenging. The staff was very polite and professional. High quality experience. Check them out. You will have a blast!

Our team had so much fun working together to figure out the puzzles and racing the clock we made it out !! Going to plan another trip here for sure!

We go here all the time for team building! We love it, we have so much fun!!!

Every time we have been here has been great! The pony is beautiful and the escape rooms are challenging and fun! The staff is very nice and is always very helpful! If you are looking for a good escape room I suggest going here!

Did the Great American Robbery Room and although we didnt get out, we were so close and the experience was amazing! Our game master, Brandon if Im remembering correctly, was awesome as well!

We had such a great time!

Our experience doesnt even rate a 1 star! If you have ever experienced a quality escape room, this would be a 180° opposite experience. So many clues without a logical way to solve them. No hidden rooms. No hidden anything! Just a bunch of locks on boxes. We did the Carnival Room, and can never get the hour back we wasted there. Bright fluorescent lights, and red striped walls. Pathetic. Absolutely PATHETIC! Obviously the creators of this room havent been to a real escape room,or they would have NEVER tried to pass this off as one.

So much fun the staff was great would definitely go back there

Great place to go with family or friends and an hour well spent. 10/10 would recommend

Real fun and real challenging. Their puzzles were pretty advanced.

The wonderful ladies working the counter were awesome and informative and really made the experience all the better. We did the midnight carnival which was difficult and amazing with a couple surprise twists that surprised us all. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

This was such a fun adventure! It was challenging, but exciting!

Expensive for just a bunch of locks on boxes. Ive been to Escape rooms before and was pretty disappointed by the lack of creativity in the design of the room and diversity of the puzzles when we escaped from the Bonnie and Clyde room. Cant speak for the other rooms at Locked Up, but there are wayyyy better experiences elsewhere than the Bonnie and Clyde one for sure.

Went with family and work fam, was fun. Definitely will do again!!

Took our 4 girls and had an absolute blast. Made it out with 17 seconds to spear

This place is the best!! The games were fun and challenging and they get your brain moving! I cannot wait for future rooms to open and for the experience to continue!

Lots of fun! If your looking for something different to do I’d recommend it.

The highest class escape room Ive ever been to... Games and atmosphere are top tier! Thanks for bringing this quality to our town!Wow!

I had a lot of fun doing this. One of the puzzles was wrong, but we figured it out in the end.

Very fun experience. Make sure you use your hints.

The staff was Great! Bring your brain power or you arent getting out! ;-)

Excellent escape room! Such a fun time!!!!!

Fun activity. The whole family had a blast.

I have only been to one other escape room, but this seemed very unorganized. Im not sure if they were just training some new employees or what...but nothing flowed well.

Super fun place for a group activity! Explained clearly, and even though we didn’t “escape,” we had a good time.

Really cool and interesting experience. Tackled a room with just two people and just about beat it.

This place is amazing. Friendly staff, clean and spacious lobby.

Fun activity! Wish it lasted a little longer

Always a great time

This is a pretty neat place to go with a group whether it be friends, work or family.

Friendly staff. Great and challenging experience!

Tried out the Contamination room with my family and had a ton of fun. Highly puzzle based with little left to chance.

5 star facility. Great staff!

Needs better puzzles relys on numbers and no story line

Fun family activity for grandkids to grandparents. Friendly staff.

Awesome experience! Definitely would recommend.

Awesome Place!! Each room is different and stays true to the theme!
