Lovely park. Big and open. Great place to visit when you are trying to social distance. There are several play grounds, big stretches of beach, and lots of walking path. My only complaint was that there wasnt much in the way of restrooms. One of the playground/picnic areas has one, but there was no mapping or signs letting you know to go there.

This was a gem of a place to visit. Make a stop and enjoy the picturesque view. Walk along the lake and take in the beautiful Marina, parks. If you happened to be there Saturday morning you can visit the farmers market. We cant wait to go back and explore some more.

We had a beautiful visit. The day was perfect weather. We walked away from the water, it is November. We went to the playground and just e joked the experience of the beach in November

Nice beach, would be 5 stars if bathrooms were open and they had a concessions area. A spot to wash your feet would be nice too.

Great beach. People were great about social distancing when we went. Approximately 20feet from each other. Bathrooms were dirty and no soap when we went so bring some with, and the showers were closed im assuming due to covid. Sand on beach was good but the water line was very rocky...with small foot-friendly rocks. Parking and entry is free, but limited parking in the beach parking lot so you may need to park on street a little bit down

Ehh. Its decent if your looking for some sun and a decent beach to chill at. Ill find litter quite often but overall its a decent beach. Seems to be a lot cleaner and well maintained whenever there are events here which are AWESOME.

It has a nice beach with a wide open area of water. You can watch the sail boats and motor boats doing their thing while you do yours. People like to look for and do find ses glass and other pretty rocks.There are no life guards and I would not recommend going in the water when its windy, the waves can knock you right over but on a calm day, WOW is it ever soothing to the soul and fun for the heart.

Good place when not busy but man the water was absolutely FREEZING! Legs literally became numb from the cold. I guess this is good if you need to cool down or nurse muscle injury...

I love this beautiful island clean, different areas to chill out on. Its has trails to walk on and lighthouse!

Great view of the lighthouse and plenty of restaurants to visit downtown. Highly recommend for a relaxing weekday or weekend. Gonna be a little crowded on the weekend but still worth it

Lovely beach. People were friendly and respectful of social distancing between groups. Just wish the parking situation was better. Warning, sand gets H O T!!!! And immediate water line is rocky. Bring water shoes!!

Went there 2 weeks ago and we brought the puppy...nice beach with soft sand. Got a little crowded in the afternoon but luckily we got there early and had a good time.

The beach is pretty nice (and no cost) and can accommodate a lot of people, but flip flops or water shoes are a good choice due to small sticks & stones. The sand also gets pretty hot. The Lake Michigan water in June is ice cold and not really swimmable until it warms up later in the summer, so keep that in mind The bathrooms need attending to and products need to be stocked. Even though there were a lot of people we found a spot to park up the hill.

Its a beautiful beach with lots of happening people around. The beach is also good. It has both sand and rock but I prefer to say it more sand beach. The water isnt so deep so good for kids. My 3 year and one year enjoyed in the tube . They have parking structure and no entrance fee also. They have portable toilets. Playground is on process to be build. Siting area in the park for picnic. Overall a good place to visit not to crowded. Would love to visit next time soon.

Love Simmons Island. Wish we put some time and money into the place like Racines Noeth Beach but its still one of my favorite places to go in the summer!

A lot of open space. Clean and relaxing!

My favorite beach spot! Two great things: Plenty of open space, and if you dont want to be in direct sun, theres an area shaded by trees!! Plenty parking space, no fees, lots of picnic tables all around, nice grass areas, a shelter as well, a lighthouse you can walk up to and watch kids/teens jump and dive (see pics) The only thing missing was a bicycle, but that has nothing to do with this beach.

City employee was combing the beach. My kids had fun watching that big machinery, but former occupants of the playground were pigs. There wash trash all over. There was a like of trash around the garbage can that people obviously tried to put near the full can. Understandable. But not the cups and other trash surrounding benches.

If you like huge expanses of fresh water, a couple miles of wide, sandy beach, miles of running and hiking, and close proximity to great museums, then this is the place for you. Great for biking too.Additional plus is a plethora of nearby restaurants and coffee shops.

Kind of windy yesterday but still a beautiful place to be.

Simmons Island is a beautiful addition to Kenoshas lakefront.We just attended a great music festival there. It was such a nice venue with beautiful scenery.

Great plays for families with kids and friends gathering. Playground on the beach. Launch ramp for boats and jetski with good prices.

I lived in Kenosha for 12 years and I love it there! I spent many days on the beach looking for(and finding alot) of beach glass. This is my happy place!

One of my families favorite beaches, since is usually less crowded and well maintained. There is a parking lot and nice bathrooms.

This is one of my favorite places! I went yesterday morning to watch the sunrise, and it was absolutely gorgeous!

Its an almost perfect beach, playground on site, only reason for 4 stars is because there are NO BATHROOMS AVAILABLE....no portapotties and the bathroom house is locked...so....are people all just peeing in the lake? Also, the pebbles hurt your feet so bring water shoes if you actually wanna be in the water longer than 5 minutes..

The beach is pretty good, however the sand needs to have the trash picked up a little more often. Just watch where you walk barefoot.

Good. When crowded, parking could be a problem. Nice beach (if you dare to get in during Covid times), well connected bike trails, and plenty of place to party as family with lots of shaded trees

Although it started foggy I took my Foster Kids bike riding up & down the shoreline of Lake Michigan!! They enjoyed the view & the sculptures!! Kenosha is getting a good facelift & looks better than when I was a kid!!

Had such a good experience finding sea glass the week before that I had to go back. Plus, more wind stirs up the waves. Was actually not able to get to the same spot because the water was up to the rock line, but still had luck with fossils & more beautiful glass.

Dont park on the grass! Other than that great beach!!

Very nice feeling coming here, i cant explain it but the atmosphere was the nicest out of our light house visits today with warm sunny rays.

Beach is pretty nice. Probably they might be able to pick up more trash, but people will just always make more. I went specifically for beach glass and wasnt let down.

One of my favorite places in k-town.

Small quite beach with two light houses in close proximity. There is a old bath house but no access to go inside. A farmers market is close by on saturdays.

This was a beautiful Park. Definitely worth going to and my family and I had a wonderful time. It has very nice sand and a nice stretch of Beach. Plenty of beautiful water even if it is a bit cold but a great opportunity to visit a beach in the Midwest. They are updating the park with new facilities and a new playground and Im looking forward to visiting it again in the future. Great time and definitely worth a visit.

Pretty calm and peaceful place. I visited from out of town for the second time and I love this area of Kenosha. Cool places within walking distance of the park.

Really nice clean beach to spend the day at.

Bathrooms are dirty and nasty, and the sand is full of litter. Thats about the only thing you can critique off a beach so it would be a 1 star if it werent a beach along lake Michigan.

Lovely beachfront view walking down the boardwalk. Went to the island during the music festival and all of the group enjoyed the music, sights, and atmosphere.

Nice fresh water swimmable beach .. plenty of parking and Park area . Was under construction when we visited, the washroom was locked, but hopefully it will be functional soon . Have grilling area and boat landing area as well .

Had a blast with the kids even though we didnt get to go into the actual swimming area, I did let them did their toes. It seems like theres alot to do here and the ones park we got to they loved. Theyre were to many to try to hit.
