A hidden gem of Kenosha History. You can dive deep or take a quick look. As a new resident, it was amazing to see the transformation from industry to restoration of the lakefront. I came away with a great sense of pride that people had in their manufacturing jobs and community. Their archive needs more financial support to process more of their collections for public viewing.
Great place to gather with family and friends.
Great place to learn about Kenosha history, from the 1800s to date.
Great under-rated place in Kenosha. A lot of people dont know or forget about this place. If you like local history, its a must. Even if you are just walking downtown and want to escape the heat for a little while.
The Kenosha History Center has lots of information about Kenosha, wonderful displays and helpful staff. They lead walking tours of the Library Park area, and open the Southport Lighthouse and Southport Light Station Museum to visitors from spring through fall.
Neat small museum. Lots of interesting facts. You can go through quickly or go slow and read alot. Classic cars, maps, and lots of local history.
A great place to visit. Very friendly and informative staff.
Local history and some AMC cars from the factory that used to be here.
Cool place hidden by the lake
