Astro turf carpeting. Holiday Goodies. Friendly Sellers. Masking for Safety
Kenoshas public market was there, today. There were not that many customers in attendance. The word needs to get out about what a fabulous market this is!
Everyone was very friendly. Lots of fresh breads, baked goods and even flavored olive oil. Was a bit disappointed in the fresh produce though. They picked out the veggies I asked for. When I got home I found the tomatoes were all spoiled. Guess it was a lesson to be learned, check them prior to leaving.
Here Will be the new home of the indoor winter harbor Market! Lots of space and more vendors!
Kenosha Public Market inside the Lakefront Dugout every Saturday 9 till 1
Top notch instruction from super qualified staff who care about the players improvement and not about the money in the parents wallet.
First, the good. The instruction here is excellent. My 12 year old son worked with coach Kevin for many months and greatly improved his swing. Kevin obviously knows baseball. He is an enthusiastic teacher who is energetic and passionate about what he does. He is constantly providing positive feedback and constructive criticism to make his students become better and more consistent hitters. In short, he genuinely cares. My son had been to a facility the previous year, in which lessons consisted of the coach mindlessly throwing batting practice from a chair for a half hour and providing no feedback at all. Kevin is a breath of fresh air.The facility is clean and well lit. The pitching machine they have is state of the art. Temperature wise, it can be a bit on the cool side, but it is nothing that a sweatshirt can address. Now, the bad. First off, this reviewer understands and is aware that facilities such as this need the business of large groups/organizations (i.e. high school or club softball and baseball teams) to make money. Typically, large groups/organizations take up the entire facility for a block of time on a particular day/night each week. Again this reviewer understands and is aware of this. However, there were two instances in the span of two months in which we were bumped from our well in-advance scheduled night and time slot to accommodate a large group/organization who swooped in late and reserved the entire facility. The first time was Wednesday nights. We then moved to Tuesday nights as a result of being bumped the first time. Less than five weeks later, another organization comes and bumps everyone out of the Tuesday night time slot we had scheduled well in advance. To make matters worse, we were not provided any alternatives after being bumped a second time. Instead we were directed to contact the front desk to chase down any remaining available time slots. This gives off a message that the individual players seeking instruction matter far less than the large groups/organizations. At the very least when a well paying and loyal customer gets bumped, not only once but twice, the company should reach out to the customer in good faith and offer alternatives with an apology. Further, to prevent instances such as these from occurring in the future, perhaps large groups/organization be given have a deadline (date) to reserve the entire facility. That way, all customers know what the day and time slot options are. Once that date passes, the sessions should be set on a first come, first serve basis. This is just basic customer service, and regards ALL customers, not just large groups/organizations as folks whose time is important and should be treated with respect.
Awesome people at Lakefront Dugout! They were all very nice, always fair, and super knowledgeable. The baseball wisdom runs deep! Cant wait to get the kids back in the swing of things ASAP in their cages and camps. Thank you again! 5 stars!
Wonderful place to improve your game. Love that it is local and ran by the awesome Mikolas family.
The heat in here doesnt work very well for those of us that are not in the batting cage. I kept my winter jacket on the entire time.
