If you are picturing Don Quixote-style windmills, thats not this place. This is real Americana. The steel tower windmills that pumped water to Americas farms for decades. A very unique place. As of the time of this writing only $5 admission. Plan to spend an hour.

Its history. Everything no matter how small or seemingly insignificant plays a role in our growth and progress as a country. Wind power was at the beginning and should be now.

Took my kids to the winter wonderland. Parking was made super easy by the parking attendants and the lights were beautiful. The path to walk through was clearly lit. The lights and displays were so fun for kids and adults. There was a building to warm up, get something to eat, buy crafts, and see santa. Kids got a goody bag from santa with school supplies and some candy. Will be a yearly tradition. Highly recommend.

$4.00 entrance fee. Short video mostly about how wind is generated. Very elementary, aimed at kids probably. Indoor lecture with actual windmills with demo. Many running windmills outdoors. Running as in spinning in the wind not actually pumping. Small working electric turbine demo.Nice motorcycle destination. Takes about 2 hours total. Very peaceful outdoor walk.Maybe 60 windmills. Some in poor repair but they are working on them.
