Riverside Park

The kids LOVE this park and so do we!!! All the fitness stations get the whole family involved.it also is where we bring all our recycle items .even the squirrels are friendly.

Large park with plenty of trails and fields. Great place to take your dog or go for a jog. Nice fishing access to the Cowlitz River. Exercise stations, playgrounds and bathrooms. A very beautiful, well maintained park!

Clean, space, family fun, saw a wedding there. Fishing and swimming over the back hill. Bathrooms and water. Baseball fields. Well maintained save the roads. Other wise was great.

Beautiful park to have family reunions, birthday parties. Park has picnic tables, playground equipment, good parking for handicap and visitors.

Have had many family get togethers here & hopefully going to have our wedding here also... Was completely booked so had to find another spot for our wedding.

Our Granddaughter holds her Bday partys here every year and we always have a great time!

What a fun place to come and hang out down by the river swimming, or fishing, then you have the park. So beautiful huge old growth timbers all through the park. Place would be perfect for family reunions, birthdays, weddings. You can rent covered spaces also. I think its free but you just have to reserve a spot. And dont worry if you are looking for quiet time or some place quiet to chill with your girl or something, the place is huge so no problem finding your own quiet spot. Have fun yall,

Its a great park besides the insane 1 way road system u must navigate to get 1 from 1 end to the other

Lots of open spaces, great for ball games, picnics, lying in the sun reading, etc. Next to the berm of the Cowlitz River.

Water was perfect but no hungry steelhead.

This is a wonderful clean park ! Old Trees,playground,baseball fields, so ccer fields,trails along the river,plenty of parking! There is a recycling center.and tennis courts!

Big. Very big. Multiple toy spots for kids, bike paths, baseball fields, tennis and basketball. Even fishing in the cowlitz river.

I take my dog marlee there to run and play. He loves the open space.

This is a spacious park with several opportunity to have great family fun. The paths are stunning. The baseball fields are well taken care of.

Awesome park with a pavilion for potlucks, baseball fields, just grass fields and a big toy for th kids! Very nice and well kept (except for the bathrooms) and a great place to go for family fun like we did yesterday!

Beautiful sprawled out park with bathrooms on each section. Very clean & well stocked. Playground for kids, beach access to the cowlitz river, on other side of Dike. Recycling drop off as well. Paper,cardboard,newspapers,& aluminum accepted

Fun! Tons of squirrels.. like loads. But it is well kept. There is a amazing amounts of space to do whatever you want: sports, playground, picnic, beach volleyball, and walk the dike. The kids enjoyed it.

This is a nice park to get out and walk around. There is access to the Cowlitz River and places to picnic. They also play soccer here.

Very nice park dog friendly and tons of parking bathrooms everywhere and very well maintained great place to have a get-together picnic or just to hang out for the day.

We really enjoy the park. We use it for our Family Reunion every year. Weve gone to birthday parties, soccer games and many other events there. My only complaint...no running water to wash our hands in the womens restroom. Pretty disgusting when eating food.

Awesome bike ride with the grandkids in the cool sunshine. Autumn leaves are all sorts of colors. Even a huge pile of leaves to play in. Enjoy it while the weather is still cooperating!

Open space, lightly wooded area, reserved group area, soccer fields and dike access to Cowlitz River. Lots of squirrels that people feed. You may get accosted if you allow your pets to harm them.

Its nice but often when I come here there is no soap in the bathrooms and people let their dogs off leash to terrorize the wildlife especially the squirrels. Every time I go there there is a dog running around off leash some people even encourage them to chase the squirrels. It is a fantastic place but leash laws need enforced for the sake of the wildlife, the dogs, and the other people.

So much space and access to walk to the river!

This park is in a beautiful area. Plenty of parking. River access with a beach. Nice size play ground and plenty of room for kids to run wild. Perfect park for a picnic.

Its a very peaceful park. Great location and offers great walking paths, sport areas, picnic areas under cover, views and more.

Its a very large park with the river on the other side of an embankment/dike. Ball games/tournaments played here along with any outdoor gathering, picnics as well & a couple restrooms are also located within the park. The standard Dusk til Dawn hours apply.

Big and kid friendly

Someone got married there today. lots of hobos. saw a naked guy there once. that was weird. squirrels are kinda scary and lowkey rabid... other than that a great place!

Would get a 5/5 but the bathrooms could use a little work. Great for fishing, birthday parties, soccer, football and other extra curricular activities. Lots of parking and conveniently located next to food venues and the freeway. Used to have a group every November that came our for turkey bowl. Moved over to the Kelso fields now though. Fields get a little muddy in the rain but what fields dont.

I live this park I miss all the tree houses from the day ..I took my children here it was great for them as the park is cool but when I came here as a boy there were animals in the mini zoo they had. My father worked at Skagit Steel and hed leave us at this park every morning and then come find us at the end if his shift.

Nice little public park. My kids and I enjoy it. The squirrels are fun.

Great for all walking your dog around and letting the kids play. Also lots of room for big gatherings lots of parking and for the most part its a pretty clean park. It has that beautiful country setting thats gives it a peaceful and safe feeling for the kids to run around and play. Lots of good memories made here from birthday parties and family picnics and family reunions to company picnics or just watching baseball game this is a nice family park and its nice to see did it has been taken such good care of over the years.

I like this park, you can even go hang out on the beach. Water is a bit fast in some parts of the river but nice to go hang out.

My daughter had her soccer practice here and its a super nice park.

Was nice, there was dog poop on the grassy area, and there werent any dog poo bags in the dispensers. People werent really cleaning up after themselves and were leaving trash. Could have been a little better.

Ive been picnicking here many times over the years. An alcohol free picnic grounds with playgrounds for kids.

Two playgrounds. Bike trails walking paths. Pet friendly. Lots of volleyball areas and fire pit areas. Soccer and basketball is also played here

Quiet place to walk dog and have lunch . tons of tables

Riverside Park stays cooler than downtown. I love all the grass, and the way picnic tables are clustered so you can have a get together, yet the next cluster of tables is a good ways away, so you can talk and not bother anyone. Also its easy to catch up with kids before they get to that next area, if you are watching them. There is a playground for youngsters, several areas with clusters of tables, horseshoe pits, & covered areas for those rainy days!We enjoyed our trip to Riverside, and plan to return frequently this summer!

Nice park with asphalt walking paths, great for strollers and little bikes. Also has lots of horseshoe pits (an inordinate amount, really), a few baseball diamonds, playground, large playing fields, and access to a dike path with river views. And apparently its THE place to work on your car - there is almost always a shade tree mechanic at work in the parking lot when we stop by. . .

They have a semi new play structure . They have a covered area for get togethers like family reunions, receptionsand picnic benches out under the trees to sit at while your watching your kids .the bathrooms are usually clean . They have baseball fields and you can walk around the park outskirts of the park if you want to walk your dog for some exercise . And if you want to go down to the river to go fish or play in the water all you have to do is walk over to the dike and down the enbankment to get to the cowlitz river ..

Nice, clean and safe family park with picnic area, picnic tables, some are covered. Small area with few tables for a group, also coveted. No way to reserve anything for this park though. Go early. Outhouses, unless Restroom buildings have been reopened. Barbecues with grates, grilles. Limited playground amenities, but as the name implies its on the river; Cowlitz River I believe.

Good old timers park. Needs upgrades. but does have ball fields, soccer and tennis courts. Which is nice. Also in the back are nice swimming areas in summer.

Its so much fun there and peaceful! I can talk to the squirrels and they come right up to me and just sit there and listen. And theres plenty of space for the dogs to run too.

Riverside park is the place of my childhood as we would always inner tube float every summer from the park over near Bucoda and the exot part was herr at riverside park... its a great family friendly place with a skate park and several baseball diamonds
