Great little place, not busy and perfect for our kiddos 9, 14, and 16. Current picked up about 5 ft out not crazy but enough 9yr old had to have someone right with him so he didn’t float away..big kids were fine :)Oddly a lady said we were on her beach area property and to get off....no signs posted....and her dog kept coming down...odd. It was just to the right of the metal stairway.
Super fun place to have a picnic! Awesome playground. Right next to the river. Public restrooms bench and tables to picnic. Paths that lead to the river.
There are covered areas with sink, and outlets, and new tables to have an event or picnic. Not very ADA friendly. Stairs to the river and steep slope to climb down into the water. Water is currently shallow there. (SUMMER 2020) Play ground area is nice for kids.New garbage cans were installed recently.
This playground was super cute with a nice large green space off to the side. Partially shaded.
Great park And access to the river, a good place to start floating if youre headed towards Wheatland Ferry. Its got some tables overlooking the water and some trails I have yet to explore.
Very nice park in Keizer to take a break right along the river. Very peaceful and relaxing in the shade sitting at a picnic table. My wife and I really enjoy going here because theres usually not many people to deal with.
This park is by far the best Ive seen in the Salem/ Keizer area. Its quite beautiful... A true nature experience.
Good park just have to share it with the tweekers!
Had good trails, bathrooms, lots of shade and not much people know about this place.
It was a very nice quiet place I loved it
Beautiful clear water and kid friendly in most areas
Great kids toy! Clean amazingly Maintained park!
The grounds could of been kept up better weather was great warm n sunny a little bit breezy
Used to be better maintained DC when I was younger but still beautiful place
Great park near the Willamette.
Always awesome! They just put up new signs too!
Great place to stop on the river or via the road.
Small clean uncrowded
Beautiful, peaceful place for the whole family.
This is a beautiful park with 2 covered bbq shelters, river access, and Amazing rock hunting! There are some sketchy people there at times, but we will definitely be going back
Beautiful private park with easy access to river. Current gets a lot stronger farther out, despite it still being shallow! Great parking and eating areas. Public restrooms are available, but I feel like they need to be tended to more frequently. I love coming here for a quiet lunch with my family.
Great spot! Clean water
This is a nice well maintained park located along the Willammette River. There’s a large open field that you can throw a ball for your dog at. There’s a short mile or so hiking path that meanders through the woods from the first parking lot at the entrance, to the loop at the end of the road near the bathrooms. There a large newish looking play structure and two large covered shelters. There’s several picnic tables located on a flat spot above the river yet below the shelter. In February, the river is rather high, and the trail through the woods was somewhat muddy. All in all a nice place to visit in winter, and probably lots of fun swimming options in the summer. We only saw a couple other cars there on a weekend afternoon.
A quick little getaway from town.
This is one awesome little park thats tucked away that doesnt seem like many folks know about and if you want some great Rock hunting this is the place to go the River Bar has a wide variety of all kinds of super cool rocks
EDIT: I forgot to mention, watch out for poison oak! Theres lots of it. FYI, you can get it from burning brush. (Im allergic. I found out the hard way.)I grew up living on my grandparents farm in one of four family homes on their 60 acre property. My grandfather sold at least 10 acres, maybe more, to the county for the purpose of establishing this park. I say maybe because i know they sold 20 acres total, but it may not have all been ro the county. I think some was sold to one of the neighbors down the street. The remaining 40 acre farm stayed in my family after my grandmother died in 1989, until around 2001 when it was sold. Now the only place I can come home to is this park.I always came here as a child. My dog and I walked these woods and riverbanks a very far way in both directions. My daddy used to bring me duck hunting down here when I was little. Back then in the early 60s the sky would totally fill with so many ducks, geese, & trumpeter swans they easily numbered in tens of thousands. The noise was deafening! It was a sight to behold too.My own kids got a chance to live on the farm in the late 80s when we moved there to take care of my aging grandmother. We had good times at this park. My 4 boys and I spent time swimming in the river, and celebrated a birthday or two at the park. We played here a lot.But please only swim in the summer time when the water is low very low, and dont try to cross the river. If you let your kids go in, go in with them and position yourself close but just a little down river from them. Put life jackets on them. Safety first, always. People drown in that river every year, usual always a couple, somewhere on the river between Wallace Marine Park and Wheatland Ferry.By the way, you shouldve seen this area after the back to back floods of Christmas 1964 & February 1965. It left huge canyons all over our farm, buried a combine and a tractor in the mud, and left salmon and other fish in the pools of water left behind in those canyons. It sure made an impact on my 9yr old mind. I still have dreams about floods occasionally. It mustve been very hard on my grandparents. So much dirt was needed to fill in all that washed away. Then to lose farm equipment too. They were smart though. Their house was built on the highest ground on that road - the water came up to the edge of the yard and no further. Whereas at our house just down the road (which sat up 3 ft off the ground on its foundation) the water came up to the top of the foundation and soaked our floors from underneath. They had to be replaced.Didnt mean for this to be a book but my mom died a couple days ago. I came here to look at photos of the park and the farm, and ponder all the memories.RIP Mama. 8/28/1925-3/25/2020
It was nice and peaceful.
Peaceful with great scenery
Fun place to stop by.
Just a great park
Nice enough Park but couldnt find where to go down to the water.
Nice covered areas. nice bbq pits. Kids like play structure when not too hot outside. in full sun so at peak of day can be too hot to use.
Smaller than other area parks, however they do offer two fair sized covered areas for groups under 50 people. Large field available for sports, but is not seriously maintained for softball, etc. Access to river two ways on foot...trail on South side of Western most covered area, or long, metal slip proof stairs from the same covered area. Some hiking available, but overgrowth and higher odds of poison oak if you wander off of them. Nice little play area for wee ones, conveniently next to bathrooms, but no shade. Overall, a good coffee spot, or small group BBQ with room to hit a ball.
Great park, good new playground and nice river access. Good pavilion with power and running water. Kids had a blast.
You can get access to beach but its rough, rocky, and not kid friendly.
Lost my car key.. holler if ya found it.
Love h this park find something new everytime
Seems like it could be a cool spot by the river, to picnic or fish. Except the homeless camping just to the right of the shelter, (down by the water).
Clean place quiet great spot for a family get together
Quiet and outdoors
Great place away from town to roast a bowl
This place as good prices on tobacco and other stuff too.
We love this park. We heard there were a lot of homeless sleeping there but weve never encountered it.

Nice quiet place along the river. Out of the way, not to busy. Lots of tables. There is a sink and power outlets under the main gazebo.
Adequate and free parking, close proximity to the river and less popular than other river parks.
Peaceful and quiet and sit and think
Its open, nice playground
Nice park to metal detector
A very peaceful park in a nice, secluded location.
Great place to go for peace and quiet and relaxation in a nature based atmosphere. Lots of trails and places to explore and really great river access. Bigger park than you think once you discover it...love it here...

So isolated and not very popular so there is never a crowd!
