Old fashioned movie theater. Go in and watch a movie and get concessions. Clean and convenient. Nothing fancy but plenty of seating and didn’t have to order tickets days ahead online.

Great place to see movies. Better than watching them on a tv in the electronics department at Wal-Mart. I like this theater, its clean and priced right. No valet to park your ride, but parking is freeeeee !!! It really is a nice parking lot. Check it out some time.

Nice theater even if its kind of tired looking. Nothing the employees can do about their building or seats. Employees were attentive and quick. It was free popcorn night and they were rocking it.

Great seating. Great sound quality. Most large theaters it seems like you can hear the other movies but that wasn’t the case at all here. Good popcorn. The staff could be a little friendlier. Not one of them smiled, that would have made this a 5-Star review.

Its a good place to watch movies except it doesnt have heated recliners. I would really like them to introduce that. So I have left them one star short for improvization.

The quality continues to decline . No soap in the bathrooms Again, seriously, you sell popcorn. None of the auto flushes work, really, change the batteries already. Floors are trashed and the theater area smells terrible. So wish we had other options in Kearney.

Great place to see a movie, but not always the most clean

This place is turning into a dump. I understand after the flood it would have taken time to fix the theaters but 3 months later and still don’t have the bathrooms fixed it is quite pathetic when they have fixed and open up the screens instead of showing the new movies that have came out the that week they put the new movies in the older screens and smaller theaters. They have been constantly understaffed or lack the training of showing more than one person on how to run the register while 4 people stand around the popcorn and pop machines. Too bad that the cinema has a monopoly on the town that won’t allow another one to be built cause I believe that it would not take much to run the rundown dump into the ground

The popcorn is delicious, and it is great how we can bring our own containers, some days, to fill them up with popcorn. The seats are comfortable and they have clean bathrooms. They have a good selection of movies to choose from.

Friendly staff, theatres are good. If you need to use the restroom for more than a piss...yea just go somewhere else. The sinks were torn all out, and theres not even a hand sanitizer in its place. The toilets were just plain disgusting. Mixtures left in two of the three, and the third one appeared to have a what looked to be semen on it.

Still rebuilding from flooding. Moldy smells. Sound great. Love the big screen. Nice doubles seats up front.

The prices were ok but not bad. I liked the sound and I enjoyed my experience.

I wish it had better seating. This theater isnt with any major theater chain so dont plan on being able to us their rewards. Im sure it is a great place of you are local but when traveling I would go somewhere else. They show the lastest movies and do have 8 screens but it needs updated. You get tickets at the concession stand which if there is a line will delay you getting in of you wanted to just watch a movie. Staff where friendly. Just with facility was better.

Smells, floors extremely dirty, bathrooms not maintained. Plenty of staff here, but cleaning and maintaining is not being done. It didn’t use to be like this. It used to be a very clean movie theater.

Movie was great. Service was poor. Not one person greeted us at the counter, nor did any of the employees behind the counter even have a smile. Spent over $30.00 and not one person said Thank You. Or enjoy the movie.

We always enjoy movies at this Cinema. The service is fast with the snacks and drinks, it is always clean, we love the slanted seating as it offers a much better viewing and the prices are in the medium range which is okay. There is a lot of parking available but you may have to walk a ways if they are busy so go early. Have fun, enjoy.

The arm rests on the seat didnt move so thats a big Downer for me and Id really wanted to keep my ticket stub as a memory from my date but they took it. On top of all that it was 4.25$ for medium sized root beer thats just ridiculous.

Parking is a bit slim here, so go early. For an older theater it is extremely well kept up. Bathrooms were super clean and well stocked. At the refreshment bar the popcorn was popped as we watched and was fresh and hot. Tasted great.Inside the theater was very clean. My one complaint would be that they need to update the chairs. They were very, very tight and anyone over a size 6 would not be very comfortable.But for a family outing it was very nice.

Very nice movie theater. Only complaint is it gets a little chilly during the winter months.

I tend to go when there aint a bunch of people there and the seats are pretty comfortable. I aint really bought concession stuff its prolly pricey tho like any other movie theater

The theater was a great place to spend in a/c when the temps outside were close to 100. Free corn was a big hit to us. We enjoyed Oceans 8 on that day as guest of our bank, Five Points.

This theater is a nice theater with 8 screens. The theater does support 3-D movies, which is nice. And tickets can be purchased online, although I think a fee is charged. Otherwise, tickets are purchased at the concession stand and that means a long wait. I have arrived at the theater 45+ minutes ahead of the start of the movie and missed the start of the movie waiting to purchase my tickets.

On occasion Ive walked into a dirty theater and their pretzels are not what you expect, definitely the worst pretzel Ive had. Otherwise nice enough staff, typically clean.

Place still is a shell of its former self. Ticket and concessions are in the same line which leads to huge delays with getting into your movie. Bathrooms are a mess. Theater is a mess. We sat through the Lego movie and within the first five minutes I noticed the floor was wet and sticky. Seats rock back and forth. Audio is way too loud, and the only redeeming quality for all of this is that the video didnt skip. Paid for four drinks, two popcorns. One adult, one veteran, two child tickets. The price? $65. Is it worth spending all that money and then getting stuck in the parking lot because of the one exit? In my opinion, absolutely not.

Granddaughters loved Frozen II

Movie was good. But the theater it was showing in was stuffy and warm.

Clean and comfortable seats, did not feel cramped in. I had no problem seeing over the couple ahead of us. The bathroom was also clean. The lobby was spacious and well lit.

Had so much fun with my kids!

I came to an early cinema and the movie I watched has been around for a while so I enjoyed a quiet time at the movie.

The good: decently comfortable seating and the layout is easy to navigate. The screens are big, and the sound doesnt often get obnoxiously loud most of the time.The bad: the prices are higher than average and, as they are the only higher end theater in the area, the place gets very crowded, even for earlier showings. The help has always been nice, mostly younger kids, but lines produce long waits. Concessions and tickets are from the same counter, which gets frustrating, especially if you dont want snacks.

I love it here the popcorn is so good we can get free refills and the people at the front counter are really nice and dont get mad at some one.

Place not updated or taken care of. Almost no money put back into business since it opened a decade ago. Very sad. Most likely due to uncaring owner from a different state. Drive to grand island now mostly because the care about their customers and put some time and effort into keeping a clean theatre.

I personally like going to this movie theater. The staff have been friendly and polite and have never walked into a dirty theater room. It does get busy sometimes during weekends, specially if its a huge movie release, such as IT.The price is decent, but as most movie theaters, the popcorn and other snacks are a little pricey. Other than that, Ive been satisfied with the service provided.

Good, small-town theater. They are the Kearney Cinema 8 carries a decent selection of movies and they usually have at least one new movie per week. Good service and clean for a place that frequents families with small children and teenagers.

Seats are reasonably comfortable, great movie selection and viewing quality! The price of the snacks are as absurdly high as we have all learned to expect from movie theatres, so I cant hold that against the experience too much.

Even when it is super busy you have to stand in line at the snack counter to get your tickets to go into the theater, not efficient. No other complaints just inefficient.

I always enjoy visiting Cinema 8. Comfortable seating, great sound and picture. Theater and rest rooms are clean and overall atmosphere is exceptional. While the idea of a separate line for Ticket buyers only is probably a good one, I personally appreciate the ability to buy tickets and concessions at the same time.

Closed so Ill take money elsewhere!

Great place to watch a movie. They get ya on the candy and popcorn!!! Haha. Everyone knows that but expect to spend a fair penny if your on a date and want the movie fixins to go with your flick. 25-40 depending on how much and what you get for 2 people. Also they do offer 3-d movies and insanely cheap afternoon matinees. Also bring your own popcorn bowl on Tuesdays I believe.

Great movie theater that offers better movie choices with more new movie titles than Grand Island. Admission is the same as in Omaha and the concession prices are also similar along with the choices.

Pretty good prices for a movie theater. I would suggest capping the line about 4-5 feet back from the register to make it easier for customers that have purchased tickets/concessions to move on from the lobby, though.

Seating was great. Staff were great. Highly recommend. Movies choice and times worked well for me and for parking.

We enjoyed this cinema; comfy seats and good snacks. We didnt experience line problems like I saw in other reviews although we went on a Thursday. I personally liked being able to pay for tickets and order snacks at the same time.

I have always had a great experience here. We just watched the new spiderman it was sooo good.

Worst theater I have been to. You have to stand in the same line for tickets AND concessions so when it is busy, you end up standing there forever. I used to budget for movies when I lived by a real theatre and now I just wait for them to come out on video because the service is so poor. This is 2018, get some kiosks and fandango so I can purchase movie tickets with my app and then I could overlook the uncomfortable seats and sub-par sound system. The whole thing is not designed for customer service. There is no wow factor at all. I feel like it is a dollar theater.

They used to have great employees such as Nate cash, josh fitch, and Carson king. After they left the place went down holl quickly. All of the employees left are terrible, they need to hire back all of the former employees. Also, I went to go see adrift and it started 30 minutes late and the young handsome manager didn’t know what to do. One last thing, I there was was blood on the railings in one theater almost as if someone hit their head and busted it open on the railing must have been workers messing around.

Come early because the snack bar and ticket booth are the same place. Because of that, it can take a while to get through the line. Monday and Tuesday is FREE popcorn day, just bring your own bowl.

This is pretty much the only theater in Kearney. The theater is always clean, plus I like the security guard on duty while attending. The downside is right now a 3D movie is playing along with the regular version. The regular version isnt offered after 5pm, when most people are off work and can attend. I can do without 3D as Ive attended a couple, theyre neat but I shouldnt be forced into it.

There are a lot of theatres (8 to be exact) and the theatre offers 3D showings. They have good matinee deals. And they have pretty much any movie that has been recently released.

For a small town cinema, its pretty nice.8 screens with stadium seating, comfortable chairs, good sound.Concessions are steep, but they compare to every other movie theater in the US. They do free popcorn Mondays and Tuesdays, if you bring your own bowl.The staff do a good job, and keep the place in nice order.

I didnt care for tea since they dont use brewed tea and the theater could use a remodel with more comfortable chairs but the movie quality was good.

Service was great. Only two issues, the lights came on during the movie and I could spot the pixels on the screen.

Poor service at the counter/ ticket booth. Soda is always watered down. Popcorn has a strange smell. Theater seating is poor and cramped. Picture quality is usually fuzzy. There is always alot of sound overlap from the other theaters. They always run the air conditioning, making it 65 degrees at Least. All of this and they still charge premium prices for movies and concessions.
