Definitely worth the stop. Just be aware this is not a quick detour, your gonna want to spend some time checking out the museum and building. I thought Id stop quick but I spent over an hour taking in everything. Im not sorry though. It was beautiful, educational, and the people were super friendly.

This is a great stop to learn about how the frontier was settled and the people who built it. The Lincoln highway and its connection from the east coast to the west, along with the railroad. Very educational.

They did a great job here. Very informative and enjoyable to visit. You do a self directed audio tour and the bridge is the museum with multi levels. The river is right across from the entrance and there is a place to sit and you can feed the fish. Nice gift shop and when they reopen a place to eat.

Very cool place. $12 audio tour is well worth it. Tour/museum covers early frontier days through the 1960s and the Golden Era of American road trips. Great stop in the otherwise coma-inducing state of Nebraska.

It has been several years since I have been to the Archway but I still remember my visit fondly. Its location is very unique - it is built over a road! It is a great detour (or actually a stop since chances are you are traveling under it!) to get an understanding of the West.

Not being a museum person, I really enjoyed this place! It is really well done. The visuals are fantastic and the audio tour (included) made it to where you arent reading plaque after plaque. Great stop on our road trip! The picnic tables across from the building were a great stop for a picnic too and there are trails to walk on.

Super cool place to stop! I would recommend you stop here when you need a break from the interstate. It’s got a very cool museum inside it. Very fairly priced for the size too. It’s also neat how you can stand over the interstate. My kids are 11 and 13 and really seemed to enjoy it.

Thank you so much for an awesome experience!!!!

I cannot say enough great things about this museum. I ALWAYS take the tour twice. Once to listen to the headphones and once to enjoy the experience without them and hear the characters talk and other sound effects they have. My favorite part is the buffalo field. Ive been here so many times and Ive never been bored. A great way to learn history without reading. Very interactive and fun.

A nice stop in Kearney! The museum tour was interesting and engaging. Its a self guided tour with headphones & remote that controls the audio & volume. Its nice because you can go at a pace thats comfortable without feeling rushed. The first room up on top of the escalator simulated a thunderstorm which was pretty neat. You can also see I80 out of 2 windows inside the arch (there is a radar detector that you can view clocking traffic speed, FYI). They have a nice souvenir shop as well as a mining area for kids (you have to buy the bag of rocks from gift shop). There are trails that you can walk or hike or bike. They have a one room sod house in the prairie. Kids liked playing in the outside maze. Pretty cool that the arch is so much more than something to look at on the outside.

This is an amazing museum. Ive been to museums across the country, and this is easily among the top. From the moment that you walk in and are greeted by a mountain man in full garb, it is a fully immersive experience. Journey through the same area through time (1800s-1970s) to see the advent of travel, adventure, and innovation on the expansion of the west. It offers a detailed look at many of the major players of the time. It also shows the good and the bad that came with the westward expansion. All of this in stunningly painted murals that surround you. Add in a lightning storm, pony express, bison stampede, and more for something unique around each corner.

Worth seeing for the history of the emergence of travel through the United States from the pioneers to locamotive and modern motorized travel. Nice and friendly staff. Very clean facilities. Almost $13 per adult admission (kids admission price-?). Worth the price. Audio guided tour (with paid admission)...note: easier and faster to just to punch in the sequential number (1-51) instead of searching for the infrared pad to start the next section of the tour (kids may get bored with slower paced audio tour).Beautifully landscaped prairie grounds with bronze statues. Gift shop a little overpriced with few original souvenir items that arent made in China. Most importantly, RV and Semi-truck parking (passed car lot parking) for those whom still like to sightsee, but are too big for most attractions.

Super cool, historical tour! I gave it 4 stars because halfway through, my niece’s headphones/audio player stopped working (the whole thing is an audio guided tour). We were lucky enough this time to pass the Archway while its open. We stopped by last time and it was closed so we just took pictures outside. The other times we passed here were always nighttime. We had the chance to go inside and check it ourselves. We were greeted by a man dressed in cowboy costume. He was so nice and friendly so we were convinced to go through it even though the entrance fee is $12 each for adults. You will experience history inside the Archway. For the self-guided audio tour, you will be provided by a headset and a remote control where you can tap on the numbers in each exhibit. My husband didnt want initially to go with me but I am glad he went. From the ground floor, the tour will start at the escalator that will bring you to the first level. I would have not make it alone as I find it creepy inside because of the lightings, sound effects and the figures inside. On the second was the modern time and the atmosphere was bright and better. Another escalator is at the exit that will bring you back to the ground floor where the office, cafe, visitor center and shop are.For maintaining the place and doing a great job, we thank the admin and staff here. We had fund and it was a nice experience. And oh, we played at the Maze area outside the museum too. :)

This is a great experience and I dont regret visiting it. It contains numerous realistic and detailed scenes of pioneers, mormans, and really anything pertaining to western expansion. This place is much more a 3D exhibition of western scenes than a museum. You could listen to all the audio tapes (including the extra ones) and read all of the signs in less than 2 hours. A good museum would have material for at least a days visit. But I think thats okay. Its more of an experience than a museum, and just because its not that information heavy doesnt mean that its not worth a visit. It certainly is.
