I took my son here for his Birthday this passed Thursday August 27th. He turned 10 and not only did he have a blast but so did my 6 year old and my 2 yr old! Great for young children but the also have huge water slides for the adults! Me and my kids had a wonderful time here and I would definitely bring them again!
Fun place for the little ones to come play. Tons of places to climb, hide and explore as well as a few rides. The ride operators and employees are all very friendly, unlike a lot of other kiddie amusement park places. There is street parking just across the street if you look around a little bit, it will save you the 4 or 5 bucks for parking.
They said they had a special. 15$ from 4pm till 6pm it’s not true. They update the information the same day. Instead of closing at 6pm they close at 5pm, I drove 1 hour away to have a good time with my family for them to turn us down. The staff were very rude. She didn’t have no consideration. The water was dirty. I was very disappointed. This place will no longer get my services. I’ll make sure my friends and family don’t come here. I had the worst experience!
Although My Family & I Had Fun The Short Time We Were There, What They Neglect To Tell You Is That If You Come At 4 For The $15 Per Person Ticket Price; They Still Close At 5:30, Instead Of What They Tell You when You Call Til Close. We Came With A Group Of 11 People And Only Could Stay For An Hour And A Half. Oh And Did I Mention It Was My Daughters Birthday.
We stayed for 2 hours under burning sun in the admission line, we could access at 4 pm.. then I stayed for one hour in the food line and finally no chicken for kids!!!! The best part is they closed at 6 pm!!!! We didn’t even stay for the 3 hours we paid for!! Completely unorganized.. no watch guys at the slides to organize when to slide not to hit others.. my last summer experience was great.. today sucks:(
The water park itself is great. Its a good day trip for the family. The area of improvement is to order food, give youself about an hour and a quarter for the wait because there is not enough staff to serve and the line literally is at a standstill. All in all, would recommend.
Love this place. Never any problems and they let you stay til 6 when they close at 5. And its cheaper entrance after 4! Good times.
Know before you go.. visited 7/20.. previous summers the park was really good, with very good deals. But due to Covid-19, they have taken away almost all of their deals like buy one get one free bracelets, so it will be significantly more expensive and will not include the amusement park. When we went, the Power Tower, which has a lot of slide attractions, was closed the whole time. Then, later in the day, they closed another 3 attractions! Everyone started bunching up on the few attractions left, after we spent a lot of $$$ to go. If this is how it looks, Dont go for the twilight special, youll only have a few slides open. The kids had fun, but it was expensive, with slides and attractions closed, which was disappointing.
The slides are very fun which is why I came back but it is very unfair that all body slides are closed and park admission is still the same price. Basically half of the park is closed which is very upsetting. It’s definitely missing either a pool or wave pool. It’s overpriced for its size. The lines are pretty short even on a Saturday.
We had a 10 y.o. kids birthday party there. Great choice! Staff is friendly and accommodating. Kids had a blast! All attractions were supervised by staff. Park size is good to have many attractions and not huge to lost the sight of kids. Amusement park right across a small road. One guest said the short track at Go-Karts suitable for smaller kids, was not available, not sure why. A free pizza in amusement park was part of out birthday package, but by the end of the day one of 2 pizza places said they dont participate in the deal. Another place was closed. But it was windy that day and starting to rain at that point, park was closing completely. So dont wait till the end to get your pizza!
The park was crowded no one wearing a mask no social distancing. The place look dirty. They have a bunch of staff but not utilizing them the correct way. Lifeguards could care less. Arrive at 3 started paid 130$ for 4 people( way over priced for such a small water park)thundering 20 min later, water park closed. They did give a voucher to return. I will try it again very early in the morning. Hopefully we can beat the crowd.
Great place..the life guards were making sure people on the lines were social distancing,,the line to get in was very short,as also were the lines for the slides,,,,there was hand sanitizer pumps all over,,,,, cant wait to go back
Our family loves this place! Between the wave pool, Ee Zee Creek and all the exciting water slide rides, its our go-to place for fun in the sun. Only bummer and the reason why it gets 3 stars instead of 5, is the constant closing of the wave pool every 45 minutes. The staff force a mass evacuation and emptying of the main wave pool for 15 minutes. When asked, the employees have claimed its a NJ State Law (a complete fabrication), its mandatory training (they do training rescues sometimes, but not always), best answer I could get from a Park Supervisor is that Six Flags has always done it this way to give the Life Guards a 15 minute break from the nodding style of life guarding in the pool. The nodding style involves the life guards to tilt their heads up and down and from side to side while guarding the pool. This mass evacuation of their largest pool always causes extreme queues for food, drinks, rest rooms and all the other rides during those 15 minutes throughout the park. Because of this constant inconvenience, I cannot rate this more than a 3 star attraction.
My kids love this place, then go to board walk, and eat, play games, stay overnight at one of the many hotels, get a nice breakfast and go home,,,,,after you visit the water park one more time !!!!!
Great for Kids on a hot day. Decent rides and 3hr limit keeps admission affordable and perfect for giving your kids the boot when its time to go lol
Great waterpark for the value very enjoyable until a bunch of New Yorkers come into the town who really have no working knowledge on how to properly drive a car let alone being courteous and respectful outside of their city/state...so...enjoy :]
It’s a very very small water park I highly do not recommend taking a kid 14+ here . The waterpark doesn’t even have a wavepool or a regular pool and on top half of the dry land amusement park is closed all the kiddie rides are open though . BUT I HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT TO GO HERE
SVETLANA derha2.co.
Fun but dont look in the water friggin gross watch out for the random hair extension floating around
I go here every week sometimes twice a week my kids always have an amazing time!
Great time lots of attraction s for 7 year old
Its a nice water park convienent some slides were closed. Park was closed when it was sunny out
Been coming here for years its a great place to stay the day in water park then across the street the rides and food I bring my grand kids now to
After reading some of the reviews-something told me that this place was a good quality park, based upon the pictures that I saw of people enjoying themselves-I’m happy to tell you that I was pleasantly surprised, especially with the young people working there doing the best job they can in a hectic environment and meeting some of the highest standards of service and courtesy that I have ever experienced in the state of New Jersey.Food quality was decent, prices were extremely cheap-even including parking and the park has an impressive variety of waterslides and a pleasant atmosphere-I am definitely adding it to my list and planning to return
Fun, fun, fun!!! My 11 year old daughter loves this place! Lots to do!
Its a small waterpark, but definitely worth going if you have small children.
What an amazing park, a great experience, specially if you take your little ones with you . The park sells fast food, hamburgers, hot dogs, fries, chicken sandwiches and soda. Bathrooms were pretty clean and the whole area in general was clean. Lots of employees everywhere. When it comes to safety, I felt very safe, there are plenty lifesavers everywhere. Surprisingly all employees look pretty young, there were very respectful and well manner (the few I spoke to) . The beauty of this park is that there is something for everybody. There are plenty lifejacket vest, for kids. Meter parking around it, make sure you bring enough quarters its $1 for 32min . Thank you all for this great time provided.
Amazing place great for everyone in the family many safety measures are in place
A Great Place to Visit, Safe, Clean, Very Well Run.. We enjoyed hours of waterpark, walk on the Beach & rode rides until we were ready to drop.. Definitely will visit again...
The park is beautiful. Has an amusement park across the street but with COVID-19 it’s a bit difficult has cheap prices and the park isn’t too big but not too small
Way better than expected. perfect for younger kids
I been coming here since my kids were small. Today i came with my daughter now 17 years old n we had a blast. Reminisced about her being scated on the baby rollercoasters. Lol Following Covid 19 rules. I saw them defogging the lockers n bathrooms. A+
Its good not great but good
Nice place not to expensive
I love this place it was so much fun go visit!!!
Tasty and yummy food.
The park is very nice and very affordable next to the beach
Very nice they dont have a lot slide but is nice and small park .like it
A place to have a Nice time out with family
Nice place to enjoy with friends.Crazy runs!!
They have great arcade games and awesomeWater park too!
Water rides were great, amusement park was decent do not I repeat do not take your child to that dirty beach it’s disgusting and have dirt everywhere
Took my kids their for 4th of July....Fun fun fun..xoxo
Fun for the whole family, there is an area for smaller kids and toddlers, an area for bigger kids and definitely things adults will have fun on to! They even have. a rope swing over a 10ft deep pool! Lots of fun, clean and the lifeguards are definitely paying attention, so felt pretty safe!
Social distancing wasnt really in effect, although we were outside and there was a strong breeze. We still left early; Id recommend arriving early and not being there in the later PM
I have been here a few times now, this a great water park that offers something for all ages. There are a few slides throughout the park that vary in length and speed, a lazy river for those who want to just chill and float around. There is an area for small kids that has a huge bucket that automatically dumps water every few minutes. They offer lockers to keep your stuff ( at a price) and concession stands for food, coffee and ice cream (no outside food is allowed). There is an amusement park across from the water park and also access to the beach from the amusement park side. I recommend this water park as I have had loads of fun here with my family and friends.
Went over the weekend with my kids and wife had an awesome time as always let’s meet great people and as always we had a lot of fun. Thank you.
Very disappointing experience. Got there on Sunday around 1pm and had to wait for half an hour just to buy the ticket. The water park was overcrowded despite COVID 19 and some of the staff was not even wearing a mask, so it’s not social distance friendly at all.
Charged full price only had an hour an a half inside and they closed an hour early
They need to fix their hours online, took a roadtrip, took me an hour and 30 and it was close
Me and my husband had an amazing time ️
Awesome spot to get wet in the heat of the summer. Rides are a lot fun and its a well-rounded experience. I loved it!!
Overly crowded. For $32 dollars per person I dont think its ALL THAT but food is a decent price.
Very cost efficient! If you go after 4pm the price is 1/2 off but they close water park at 6pm. Its like a mini version of larger water parks. I love this place. You will need to bring cash for your locker but can use card for admission & food. Lockers are around $11 I believe with a partial refund when you return the key. Great place to take your family in the summer. They also have rides across the street.
It was decent but way too over crowded i would just go to the beach next to it which is free.
Decent water park with ample slides for all ages. Have to buy passes for 2/3 HR intervals. Pretty large Lazy River and rope swing! All outdoor and it can use some maintenance. Multiple hot tubs and a whirlpool. Snack and food stands, locker rentals, and showers.
I love this park because it is located right in the middle of a nice residential neighborhood with beachfront condos. It has a amusement park, beach and water park with in walking distance. So if you get the water park and amusement park combo it’s 51.95 for 2 hours and 53.95 for 3 hours and in the amusement park if you get the combo you get on the rides w/o buying tickets so basically unlimited. Go carts/bumper cars/ batting cages and arcade you have additional fees even with the combo package. The arcade requires purchasing a card and loading it with money and when you win tickets it’s electronically loaded onto the card. They have a fishing game where if you hook a jelly fish you when 210 bonus tickets and guess who hooked the jelly fish lol, me!!! They also have a clown game where you knock the clowns down which was cool. The only negative thing was there was no reasonable accommodations available for children with special needs like a special pass to skip lines etc. They have that at most major theme parks and my daughter is autistic. They have bathrooms accessible in slot of areas if the park. No long wait lines and not too rowdy. Overall we had a good time!!!
Theres a amuestment park
I took my grandchildren to Runaway Rapids several times this summer. They had a blast each time (which is ultimately what we went there for) and I got to enjoy the lazy river. They charge you extra for everything, just like every other park. Outside food and drinks are not allowed. Parking was easy and the wait times for rides were not terrible. Overall, Id visit it with them again next summer.
My 8year old & his friend was on that ride.
Many rides.... Park currently down due to the storm
Its great for children but a bit on the expensive side
Really fun water park. We went on a Sunday afternoon in July and it was packed. It took half an hour to find 4 open seats, but no biggie since we all just needed one chair to put down our towels and run around the park. We put our valuables in a small locker. You only get 3 hours but I think it’s enough given the size of the park. The lines are not too bad. The only line that was annoying was the coffee/smoothie bar - there was only one girl making all the smoothies and handling the money. Not a good way to make money IMO! They should have had 2 people there. Went next door to the Keansburg amusement park to eat dinner and go on rides with our unlimited passes bought with water park. All in all a fun way to beat the heat and enjoy some family time!
Its very fun to do in the summer time
We were a group of 9 including 4 kids. The waterpark it’s not that big but it was awesome. We had a great time. Rides were cool and fun. I’m sure I will be coming back to this place. Food are not that expensive. After your done with the waterpark they have amusement to play etc. .A Very nice place for families and friends
Great family place!!
Pretty fun place. Great for the family.
A very popular waterpark in Monmouth county. They also offer food, drinks and smoothies as well. They have a lazy river and multiple different slides to try out. The staff could be a bit friendlier.
My family and I went on a Sunday and it wasnt crazy crowded. We got a bit later in the day so of course all the great seats and chairs with umbrellas were taken which is fine. We still had 5 lounge chairs. Its a smaller water park compared to others but still alot of fun. Theres a section for kids and another for the thrill seekers. They offer lockers, theres a bathroom with showers too. Only thing is the line for a drink took 25 minutes, if not more.
I love waterparks. This is a smaller one. No wave pool. Great for the younger age group, but fun for everyone. Watch where you park and your family the area is not one of the best.
Cute small little water park to spend around 2 hours on a hot day. Our toddlers enjoyed the kiddie pool area. Though the water in the kids pool area was a bit cold compared to lazy river and other water rides.
Our favorite water park! Always a fun time!
Its really good
A fairly fun experience! The cost is about $30 per person with $11 for a locker. We paid for 3 hours but regret it because the 3 largest rides were closed during our visit (July 13) and none of the employees could tell us whether/when they would be available. Another avoidable issue is that many of the rides are understaffed creating long lines.
So much fun! A great deal. Food is reasonable too.
Great water place
Discovered this place on the way to Sandy Hook. The rides are fun and it seemed really safe and clean. Food is a challenge unless you want fried food and ice cream.
This is a really cool beach I really love this place there even really good games to play and to ride on I suggest this place for everyone its a really good place
Always a pleasure, clean, 2 hours is plenty for children up to 9yrs old
Very clean and a welcoming family friendly place
HORIIBLE EXPERIENCE.I took my family to Runaway Rapids on Friday, 8/09/19 figuring it was a nice day to relax in a water park since it was such a beautiful hot day. It was anything but fun.3 different camps arrived at the park and all hell was let loose. In the kiddie area, kids ran up the slides with absoulety no supervision from their camp counselors. One of the kids from the camp would not let other children down the slide, he was holding them back & only allowing camp kids. I went to talk to one of the life guards to let them know what was going on and I was told by her that she cant micro manage the camp kids. I asked to speak to a supervisor or manager on shift. That conversation got me know where. The manager saw the chaos that was going on and rolled her eyes and said Shell try to speak to the counselors to get the kids under control. It never happened. The camp kids ran around the whole park, cutting lines, knocking down small kids, jumping into the lazy river at any entrance they chose too, tossed around tubes anywhere they pleased. 3 camp kids were actually advised by a counselor to go and pee in the hot tub because there was a line for the bathroom. At that point, Ive heard & seen enough. My daughter was knocked down and denied rides enough. Its unfortunate that life guards and managers have no control over this park. I paid for my family to be there just like the camp kids. That park and its employees turned into a disgusting mess. Its a shame because it was once a really nice place to take the family. I will NEVER take my family or friends to Runaway Rapids again.
Not open yet. I heard maybe next week.
We had a blast
I really like the place. Its small enough that you wont lose your family if you get separated but has enough things to do for you to enjoy the day. The bummer is that they will close early for low attendance so you can get stuck paying for less time than you thought you had.
This is our favorite semi local place to bring the kids. If you go a lot, I recommend season passes. Saves you tons of money and there’s lots of perks.
Nice waterpark that isn’t too overcrowded. They do a great job maintaining the quality of the water. It’s worth getting a Groupon or similar as it’s a bit overpriced for it’s size. We make it an annual trip and then hit the boardwalk which is great for young children.
Line slow long didnt go in
Always great time with the kids. Best place to watch fireworks 4th of July too!
Dont have enough adult rides
Took three children there today, they were open by 10:15am. The kids had a blast and it was the perfect size for them, they are ages 4,6 and 7. I thought it was great! I would have given it 5 stars except for the lazy river, I think they could do a better job filtering out all of the bugs and a few other things I saw floating by. It wasnt horrible but I did notice it. Overall I would recommend and would go back while the kids are still under the age of 13.
Great water park, but without a season pass very expensive lines can be very long.
This was not a good visit. The rides were closing before the end of the day.. there are signs that mention this but why? The park was crowded enough. In one of the platforms there are three slides. Staff was allowing one person at a time go instead of three at a time...which made for very slow loading. The food was of very poor quality. I bought a pretzel which was very stale . They havent had new attraction in years and the place is starting to show its age.And please...kindly provide more shady areas to lounge.
Love this place for the rides and water park but there are better water parks in PA if u want to drive an extra hour or two
Waterpark was close to home, not overcrowded and worth the price, 2 for 1 on wednesdays, I would definitely take my granddaughter back
