Your standard city park. Family friendly ADA and nice walkways. Multiple freestanding barbecues under shelter with tables dot the park and I did not see a reservation system at the smaller ones. A really cool walking path brings you in close contact to ducks and geese in trickling streams. There is an awesome volleyball court with 8 inches of clean sand at your feet. Younger children and families enjoy the playground area with nearby restaurants.

This park offers a myriad of activities. There are several places for small groups to picnic and 2 large pavilions that can be reserved with the city. There are sand volleyball courts basketball also, and Its a great place to walk or run with good shade along the creek that runs through it. You can feed ducks with the kids. In the evening there are often baseball games but there is still plenty of parking. Public restrooms are open all summer.

This is one of my familys favorite parks to go to. Not cuz the park is amazing but because the duck and geese are friendly and fun. They ask u to please not feed them but most people do anyways. Thats why they are so friendly.

Huge park, baseball fields, sand volleyball nets, pickleball courts tons of grassy areas. Would be 5 star but a HUGE let down with only having 4 lit pickleball courts... Seeing as they have around 10 courts total it sucks at night when you can really only use 4 at night.

Today was our first visit to the park. It was cold and windy but even the 2.5 year old stuck it out because of how nice the park was, the big highlight of our trip was the protected bird area. Sure seems like a nice park. Lots of trees, parking, play structures and nature for the kids and us all to enjoy. ***NOTE: Only suggested fix we saw that is needed right now were the two child sized openings in the fence on the bridge crossing the stream.

I love Barnes Park! Growing up just up the road was so wonderful! It is such a versatile area from playgrounds to baseball diamonds and everything in between. Many summer nights were spent on the sand volleyball courts or a makeshift frisbee game in the large grassy areas. Little ones will absolutely love the little stream running through and the chance to feed the ducks. Also perfect for family parties and BBQS with all the pavilions to choose from.

I love the ducks, geese and swans!!! I am friends with a majority of them. Except 2 geese were bullying another goose:( DISCLAIMER: DO NOT FEED ANY OF THEM BREAD. Bread is a very bad and dangerous food to feed to ducks, geese, and swans or any other waterfowl. Instead feed them cabbage, berries, worms, duckweed, lettuce, cucumbers, squash, or pomegranate seeds :)
