Closed for the season. --- Pandemic season. This review only reflects disappointment that the mansion was closed - not disapproval.

Awesome piece of history! The mansion us old, but they have done an amazing job of keeping it true to the time and providing a nice place for people to learn about the Kaukauna area.I love old homes and learning about history at museums. Thank you for maintaining such a wonderful part of Kaukauna history!

The tour guides all worked together on our visit, they gave a lot of detailed description, if not from only one to a room, another had a few words to say and had many examples to show us that all our questions were answered before we could ask...Great teamwork there...

Great disc golf course. Plus, I lost my phone without knowing it and another player tracked me down to give it back. Good to know, honest people in this world yet.

Really cool spot in the Fox Valley to get a look at what life was like when the Valley was first settled. Kids where really interested.

My husband and I did the candlelight tour over the weekend.. it was very disappointing and not what I expected. Most of the tour was read off of cards and not rehearsed. Not much background into given as to who Charles was and were given conflicting information on how he died during the tour. Compared to the Galloway House in Fond du Lac, this tour was just sad. And as for the activties that were boasted.. a table with worksheets to color, one to make an ornament from paper strips?, and a trolley aka a bus took you to a house with lights for 10 min.. not at all what we were expecting. It was an experience, but Id never spend money to go back, nor would I recommend this tour.

Great local treasure in Kaukauna. The tours are very informative and the junior docents are great at giving tours also. The air conditioning works very well so dont let hot summer days dissuade you from visiting.

Very historical place to see the sign thats out front of the Mansion is about one of the very first deeds in Wisconsin it has incredible information about obtaining land in 1793 from several Indian tribes traded land for two barrels of rum and other gifts and across the street is a huge Douglas fir tree that was cut down that it was all so incredible to seeHighly recommend to go see

I havent actually ever gone inside but I take my kids here to play on the playground that I also played on as a kid.Across from the mansion is a paper mill and an old section of felled tree that still oozes sap after over 100 years. You can look over the old lock system used to move lumber down the river to the mill.
