Had my sons 15th birthday party here today. The experience was wonderful. We had a fantastic party hostess, and most importantly my son had a blast. The cost is very reasonable, it is clean and it was not too crowded. I highly recommend Mason Road Skate Center. The entire staff is very helpful from start to finish, accommodating, and friendly. Loved the layout.

We visited this place for the first time on a Saturday for a birthday party, it was packed to the point that there was no parking, there was a line of 10 min to get in (for a bthday party!) And there was no space to walk, sit or stand inside. The place is old and smells horrible. The skates that you rent are super old, a couple broke while some kids were skating. The concept of this place is awesome, but they should spend some money on renovations and upgrades.

Its good, if you go on Tuesdays, the prices are way lower and theres like mini games they do every 50 minutes or so like races, green light red light, and others. The place looked kinda old and it was a bit weird and the food took a lot of time

Much warmer than the other place I go to in spring branch. No real dj, just a 90s Playlist on repeat. Floor is wood and needs to be waxed. I could feel every board under my feet. Also, alot of weird rules.

This place needs to be torn down and rebuild with newer skate shoes and environment.. Its just smells bad.. And this place is old.. Bear Creek Skating rink is much better.. Wouldnt waste my time here.

I love bringing my kids to Mason Road Skate Center. The people that work at the front desk when you check in are always kind and helpful. It’s affordable and I always enjoy skating as much if not more than the kids. Every time I visit Mason Road Skate Center I am taken back to my childhood when my sisters and I spent many days skating in our neighborhood while growing up. Although some might feel the place could probably use some additional updating, keep in mind that just might lead to increased prices and possibly loss of the comfortable, relaxed, well-loved charm that you experience with every visit.

This rink has quite nice service and wonderful food

I enjoy coming here especially on tuesdays where they have a great special from 6:30 to 8:30, then the entrance fee is $2 and skate rental is $2 aswell very cheap for 2 hours. They have a snack bar and a few games you can play but skating is the main attraction. Its an average size ring for skating and there is a section in the back separated for beginners. They offer normal skates and inline hockey style skates for a little extra I believe. My only complaint is there is a part of the rink that is a bit uneven and looks like it needs to be renovated, but my kid doesnt mind and it isnt a big nuisance.

Ive been coming here since I could walk. Ive had several bday parties here and now my 11yr old loves it! She and her friends hang out here a lot. Its family owned and thats how you feel here, like family. Employees are awesome! Love it!

This is the best place to go skating in Katy. Everyone has fun. It has great music and the prices are perfect. The kids always have fun here. I look forward to signing up for thenskate lessons as well. Great place! And it is a real skate rink! One needs space and you find it here.

Fun old school style skating rink.We went for a birthday party for my daughters 4th grade classmate and the kids had a blast. They have day skate and then evening which likely is geared towards older kids and adults, but all are welcomed in the day as well.

I went for a party and I was overwhelmed with how many people were there. it took a while for us to get in due to the long line and when we finally got in it seemed like there were six or seven parties going on at one time. What could have possibly happened is that management did not staggered the parties so it seemed like a lot of people were there. I paid $14 in total for me and for my son to ️ and have helpers. They have a main skating ring and a smaller skating ring for the kids. I might come back but I definitely would want to know how many people are there first..

My son and I come often to this place, and we are always glad we came. The prices arent bad if you have your own pair I usually pay $14 for the both of us and we always come on a sunday afternoon. Mainly because I feel that this time is where it isnt so packed. Less small children on the skate floor, so that you can let loose. They do not allow any outside food or drinks so your forced to buy theirs. Id just recommend eating before coming here also.

My granddaughter had a birthday party here. Pizza was good and kids had a ball. Place was clean and rink staff were attentive.

Wholesome fun for all ages, mostly kids but its as fun as I remember when I first went 10 years ago. Its cheaper than ice skating and the place has plenty of seating on non-party days. The food is decent, but youre not allowed to bring any food/drinks in. There are games about every hour which keeps it interesting.

Nice facility with friendly service. The kids had a blast here. The cost of admission, rental skates and walker is about $20 per person.

I booked a party online and when we arrived there was a guy and a lady upfront the lady was helping a customer on the phone which is understandable but the guy saw me at the window and continued to help someone else that was already in the skating area which is fine but at least greet us and tell us you will be right with us. It was very unorganized and alot of time was wasted when we were checking in. After check in the guy started helping other people instead of letting us in I had to say can you open the door by this time more time was wasted the guy was all over the place. I added 1 walker to my party but never knew I needed a ticket until I went to get the walker. I had to go back to the window again to tell the guy that i needed a ticket and he asked if i wanted to pay 5.00 or add to my party which i added it to my party when i first checked in but never got the ticket for it and never knew I needed one. My host was the nicest but we had to do a bunch of work like serving and cleaning up and shouldve had to do that. Towards the end of the party I got charged for 2 Walkers but I only had 1 which was taken off for us. Going forward better customer service can be given, make sure all tickets for additional stuff is being passed out at that time so people wont be overcharged, 1 person need to handle checking in the parties only, have your host come to the front and walk you to your table especially for new comers that never been to your business, come up with a better process for parties I cant stress this enough and carts need to be provided for guest thats having a party so it can be an easy trip for everyone. My child had a good time despite all of the issues and thats all that matters but we wont be back.

Old place, they are renovating a bit, but they do a great job. Weve had a couple of my daughters parties here and its always gone well. Also, the staff that gives lessons is excellent.

We bring the kids here regularly and I have been very impressed with how well maintained the facility has been kept.

This is an awesome place for anyone at any age.

I have much history with the MRSC and the Broussard family. I was blessed to be able to call them my friends over the years, especially the late Bo Broussard who was a great friend of mine for many years. Random things always make me think of him and the great times we had, lots of laughs! Thank you to the Broussards for keeping the rink alive and for putting up with a ton of craziness over the years! Took my 5 year old yesterday and loved it! I felt very comfortable skating with her. There was alot of other parents also skating.

I love this place!! Its like a second home to me. I have been skating here my whole life. It was also my very first job. I now take my children here. We have had several birthday parties here. They have all been so great! The pizza is the BEST!!!

Very unorganized. You have to pay for a,walker to help the little ones skate. Need to hire more help n get organized. Ridiculous to charge extra for walkers.

Parents, stop dropping your teenagers off here unattended. They are going there for date nights and presenting themselves in very unrespectable ways. Last night teens stood around as a couple made out at tables. Young children could be heard asking, what are they doing? On our way out, teens were seen in the back parking lot making out . I hope the parents I saw dropping their teens off for fun here are ready to be grandparents.

It was pretty fun... hadnt skated in forever.. free pizza, not too crowded, and my little brother skated for the first tine.. Awesome sauce!

Great place that brings back memories. They have skating classes in Wednesday 5pm and Saturday at 11:15 for $10.

Rather small skating rink, one of the smallest Ive seen. The rental skates are iffy. Hockey skates are made to be worn with several layers of heavy socks, so they wont fit properly unless you go much smaller in size. Better to bring your own. But, you wont notice as the rink is so small youll mostly be going in a circle.

Small parking lot, interor looks worn, dark. Kids love it. There were a lot of joyful faces. Food was poor, pizza with lemonade. No complaints from the kids though. However the wait staff were very attentive, courteous, helpful. The place needs to be remodeled but I saw no indication that it might be planned. I understand the prices are very reasonable.All in all, a walk down memory lane for adults. and a rip roaring good time for the youngsters.

This place is awesome! The kids always have a great time. They sell concessions which are a guilty pleasure for me (nachos and a root beer float please!). The staff is always polite and helpful. We had a party here and out hostess Mia was so attentive and really took the stress off. Im glad she was there! They play music and games and even have a section for the little kids where adults can go in regular shoes while the little ones skate. Its a great deal for the price and level of fun and entertainment the kids have.

This place is by far the friendliest place Ive ever been to yet. From staff to the people in the rink. It gives you very good vibes.

I was really surprised how well everything was maintained and kept up given the decline of serious interest kids have for skating and the need of a roller rink. All the employees that i interacted with were polite, courteous and knowledgeable as far as helping the kids learn and have fun. I honestly dont have almuch of a frame of reference for skating rinks as i havent been to one over 25 years ago! Man, Im getting old! Either way, its a fun and affordable way to have some quality time with the family.

Really great place, good place to just hang out with friends or family. Food is cheap but the rental skates’s laces are wonky, some aren’t the same length and so they’re hard to tie. There’s also this one guy that works there who’s just a d*ck. He’s bald and has tattoos on his arms. My sister and her boyfriend were just sitting next to each other, hugging and they kissed once, and the guy came over and said: don’t do that again. then, about twenty minutes before they closed, we were about to clean up and leave, and the guy said: come on, clean up, i’m not your momma. yes, we know, we were about to, you don’t need to tell us-if you absolutely need to say that, say it in a nicer manner. keep in mind we were early teens, so that was kinda harsh for that grown man to say that to us, we did nothing, we were about to clean up. he also didn’t pay any attention to me and my friend when my friend wanted a rental for those things that help beginners skate. I was asking for him to help but he just kept talking to this other kid who already had skates, they weren’t even talking about skate related things. another employee came over and assisted us, instead. the guy who collected trash was really nice to me and helped me out when i accidentally fell after i bumped into one of his trash cans :D yeah that’s all i have, just avoid the bald guy with tattoos if you can. (he’s muscular, too)

It was ok skating, but the rental skates were not good. Good music too.

The website advises guests to arrive no more than 10 minutes before a party. What happens when everyone shows up 10 minutes before the party? Chaos... You would think they would staff up at the front to prepare for party guest, but no. Theres only 1 or 2 people working the front. The cashier checking you in has to also take care of the phone. It took about 30 minutes for us to get in. The line was curved around the parking lot. If this is typical, why would management not do something to address this.

Good place for kids. Floors were a little bumpy and tables were spaced badly. Overall nice clean.

Decent roller rink. Kids had fun this past Saturday. The ladies at the front booth were horribly rude. I was asking a few questions leading up to inquiring about having my child’s birthday party here. With their attitudes I changed my mind. The gentlemen inside at the skate rental were nice, and knew customer service.

It was so much fun they took music request but when I was trying to by something from their gift shop how should I call it there was no one there

The only place in the area I would take my grandchildren. Had some skate repair needed and took care of the problem quickly. I asked about paying and said no we are here for the kids. Everyone very friendly.

Came here for my five year old nieces birthday. Although skating centers are always sort of old school, this place seemed very clean and the staff was very attentive for how busy they were. I have zero idea how you can have hundreds of children and atleast 5 birthday parties going on, yet still keep the environment so clean.Restrooms were conveniently located, well stocked and extra clean. I can not over emphasize the word clean enough here. The skating floor was polished nicely and appeared to have been refinished recently. Prices were very reasonable also

The Mason Road Skate Center is very sanitary and has nice food, has a nice skating rink, has good bathrooms, and The Mason Road Skate Center has an extensive variety of shoe sizes for the roller skates that they provide for you. In addition, it also has good features for beginner skaters such as a skating walker and a beginner skating rink that is even safer than the normal skating rink. I would truly recommend this place and I enjoyed my previous visit and I will probably enjoy my visits in the future.

I took my daughter here for a birthday party. She loved it. Took me back to my teenage years! I like that they have a small rink for the kids, and that they offer the walkers for kids learning to skate. Prices are great too. We had a wonderful time.

This is a great spot to have fun in town. They also have classes from beginners to competition level. Quite affordable during the week and also on Fridays from 5 to 7:30 pm.

Cute retro spot, everything was clean and nice. We enjoyed the party and service. The only downfall was the DJ person or the plan they had, they kept playing games, like green light, red light etc. like every 30 minutes and few kids would participate and had to sit out when all they wanted was to skate. It was quite annoying.

Had our Calvary Episcopal Preparatory 8th Grade Working for Washington Fundraiser and it was a big hit!!!!

Really good place for kids, teenagers and even adults. Its $6.00 per person and includes skates. You get to skate for like 2 or 3 hours I believe . but 1.5 hrs is enough in my opinion. You can also celebrate birthdays and play some really cool archade games. There is also a section for kids that dont know how to skate and practice a little and they do give classes for a fee.

Went there for a kpop skate night with my daughter, it was fantastic! Long drive, but worth it!

Could have been better the rink was a bit worn. Held a small party here. Everything was ok till some ghetto party goers from another party tried to start a fight cause my friend whose special needs child accidentally touched her. She apologized and of course she made a deal out of it. Instead of the person managing the place kicking out the aggressor we had to put up with her and it made my guest feel horrible. Won’t be going back anytime soon. Someone who has a child with special needs shouldn’t even have to apologize let alone feel like they have to defend themselves because someone wanted to make a scene on purpose . I’ve seen this same woman before she causes problems on purpose. Really feel the people in charge should have handled it better.

Medium size rink, wood floor in good shape. Not new but everything is clean and well-maintained. Good temperature. Good music, not too loud. Staffed by high school kids but they do a pretty good job. What they sometimes lack in attentiveness they make up for in helpfulness and friendliness. I went on a Sunday and the crowd was mostly small children having birthday parties. About 1/3 white, 1/3 hispanic, and 1/3 black. Everyone was nice and well-behaved. There were no floor guards. I will go again and recommend to others.

Went for my granddaughters birthday, she turned 9 years Old. It was a fantastic birthday party everyone enjoyed themselves. The party host what excellent. The pizza was delicious.

If I could give 0 or -5 starts I would. I paid almost $300 for my daughters birthday and the facility was over booked and under staffed. The bathrooms were putrid and they had water dripping from the ceiling where all of he food was being made and served. The party was supposed to be hosted but I had to do host the party myself with the exception of them bring out pizza. I had to request that the front office that party guests be asked to sit for the pizza, which in itself is asinine. I brought all subjects up with the management, she quickly hushed me and said that she would take care of it... she took $25 off the bill. What a JOKE! I should have not booked a party and paid cash... at least then I could have understood the horrible service and dirty facility. Even after you have to pay for the party there are multiple additional costs (inline skates, walker, etc). Bottom line DO NOT HAVE A PARTY HERE.
