Awesome place for learning gymnastics! Great facilities with so many various areas for training, and awesome, patient instructors!

After both of my children having being enrolled here, my daughter in dance and gymnastics, my son in tumbling for a year and 9 months, we had to leave tonight. Coach Jacob typically cuts up and jokes with the kids. Evidently that changed and when my 12 year old son joked back with him, he was asked to leave class. After getting manager Edna involved Jacob came to me and my son and said he felt like the joking was crossing over from coach/student relationship to friends and he needed to draw the line. He then said my son could come back and join the class. I’m so very upset that for one he humiliated my child in front of the other students over something so petty. And for two, why in the WORLD would the gym coach not WANT to friend the students? Not like hanging out outside of gym class but be civil and give the kids someone positive to look up to? Needless to say I’m looking for a new gym for my kids.

Really cool place for the kids to let off some steam. This place is huge! Soo many cool things for the kids to explore. Love this place.

All the coaches are super sweet and so patient with the little ones really a fun place if you can get past the stinky feet smell.

My daughters goes there for the last 3 years. She loves it.

It is very bad, having employees say bad words to their students who are children. I am considering removing my son from the class, as the management did nothing to fix the problem

Weve had our girls going to Westwood for near 10 years now and we havent even bothered looking elsewhere; there hasnt been any reason too.Its a great gym for those that are not necessarily looking for the competitive environment or have kids that are just getting started.When the kids get more advanced, the tumbling coaches are top notch!

This place is absolutely awesome! Staff was fantastic and my son had an absolute blast at a birthday party! We will definitely be back!

We really wanted to love this place at first it started off well the coaches were very professional and took time with my daughter but after her 4th week I can tell they didn’t really want to deal with her anymore both of their demeanor had changed. My daughter did need a lot of redirection but I was very upfront with them to let me know if this is something they think will be a good fit for her or to possibly do private classes and they reassured me that it takes time for her age and that we would just need to be consistent with her. Today I witnessed coach JJ basically single out my child during a routine talking to the other students about her behavior and not addressing it with my child.This didn’t sit well with me I don’t appreciate having my daughter being singled out or pointed at I was horrified at how I could hear the parents giggle and I hope they make changes and train staff accordingly to age appropriate guidance and discipline and to stay consistent.

We LOVE our classes at Westwood! The coaches are personable and so involved. The facilities are always clean and organized. We love coming here and make the extra drive to continue taking classes at Westwood even though there are other gyms that are closer to us!

I do not recommend this place, the teachers are only focused on child that have a good level instead that child needs to be helped. The teachers are not friendly kids, they don’t smile, they looks like they are not enjoying teaching gymnastic and that’s make child afraid and they don’t want to go in this place. Also there are only one teacher per level for many child....

I really wanted to like this place as it is in a great location and the staff is always friendly .Unfortunately they were not challenging my daughter enough to where she started getting bored. We had to transfer to Birons. It is quite a drive for us but I can tell you there is a big difference In the levels and how much they challenge them. My daughter really likes it. We still do the parents day out at Westwood gymnastics and she likes those.

If you were thinking of getting dance lessons for your child, this is NOT the place. No accredited teachers. Take it from my experience, you will NOT get what you paid for and no amends will be made from management or owner. Greedy establishment. Look elsewhere, plenty of other dance schools and gyms for that matter.

We love this place. My 12 yr old enjoyed the hip hop classes. Our 3 yr old grandson absolutely loves this place. He has excelled quickly in the toddler class. We love the parents day out parties they offer. The coaches are amazing. Coach JJ really knows how to interact with the kids!!!!

This place is a pretty good place. If you have any issues the owner goes above & beyond to make things right. Besides that, my daughter loves this place and I’m happy she’s happy.

My daughter loves this place. They offer parents night out and parents day out for very reasonable rates as well as weekly summer camps for all ages and skill levels. While she has not been to the regular training sessions they offer, our experience leads me to believe its done right as well.

My son loves this place and Coach Andrei and Coach Sammy are an asset to your business. Lessons were always well planned, taught clearly and the feedback is always detailed and there is always goals for the next class. The office staff are always helpful and friendly and the general vibe at the gym is focused fun. Keep up the good work.

My daughter has been going here for 2 years, and she loves it! The coaches are friendly and supportive while still being firm and holding them to higher standards. They have their Mayfest in the spring where the kids can show off their skills for their families.

What a great place. Friendly staff and strong, positive coaches. We truly feel like part of the Westwood family here. My daughter always looks forward to going. She feels like she improves with every lesson.

I would not recommend this place to anyone unless they are sure that is the place they want to be. I registered my child after she enjoyed the first few classes, but for some reason my 3-yr old doesnt want to go there anymore. I have been trying to get my child to go, but she refuses. Due to my health conditions, and travel reasons we have accumulated quite a few makeup classes, which has to be used only when you are registered member (ie., paying that months tuition, thus accruing more classes). These classes that you already paid for, can only be used if you are a continuing member? I want to just use my accumulated classes (which i already paid for), and not continue to accrue anymore but that cannot be accommodated by the facility. I am just asking them to let me use up the classes that i already paid for, and not accumulate anymore, but they could care less. I would not take my child back there, even if she is interested in gymnastics in future.

Westwood is an awesome place I recommend all parents to send their kids. Its a great way for kids of all ages to develop their gross motor skills while learning the fun sport. All of the staff is well trained. I went here for 12 years and it was some of the best moments of my life. I can genuninely say I LOVE THIS PLACE!

I signed my little one up for the 3rd week for summer camp and never received a discount. While visiting the school I observed kids throwing each other around and not one supervisor was near the students, instead they were on the other side of the gym sitting on the couch. I feel that they need to supervise the children better, if my child needed to use the restroom, she would come and go as she pleased with no one questioning her (kids could use the restroom and stay for hours without anyone going to check on them). I spoke with the Manager about the situation and I got the feeling that she wasnt taking into consideration my concerns, this is the second day in a row that my daughter wasnt told to bring her swimsuit and was told that the brochures that said to bring it were up at the front desk for anyone to take. while picking up my daughter no one told me either. Instead I was told that it would be ok for her to swim in her undergarments, which is unacceptable. Speaking with the manager. This place is the most unorganized, unsafe and only care about the dollar. I could literally walk into this place of business and walk out with someone elses child without being questioned.

Good place overall, kids enjoy it but areas for improvement. As a parent that doesn’t always bring the kids in for their classes, it would help if the staff called for the start of the class loudly and clearly. They just tend to stand around with their clip boards and chit chat amongst themselves. Teenagers for the most part and perfectly understandable not to be the most organized but would expect management to provide adequate direction and training. Have also noticed some classes start late land finish early. As a for profit establishment, I find this practice wrong and no different than stealing. Again, improved training would go a long way.

My 4 year old and 6 year old daughters started and intro to gymnastics course and they really like it. Theyve learned so much after just 2 sessions. Friendly, knowledgeable staff and teachers. We had a birthday party there too and had a great experience. I recommend this place for both occasions (gymnastics and birthday party).

My 5 year old daughter has been going here for about 6 months and she loves it. The first few times I did feel a bit overwhelmed by the large facility and high (people) traffic but it is very well organized. We don’t have family close to us so recently we tried the “Parents night out” versus getting a sitter and she did not want to leave; therefore we will definitely be taking advantage of those more often.

Family had their 4 year old daughters birthday party there. They can run around for an hour or so while the staff sets up the tables. Staff will serve the kids cake and sing. Good way for the little ones to burn off some energy before then get sugar charged with b-day cake.

1st time registering my child and visiting the facility. The lady who helped me was very dry and unwelcoming. Basically went through the process like I was just statistics. I did not feel at home at all for a 1st time attendee. Made me wonder how the actual instructor was going to be.

Granddaughter is 6. Hour class. First 20 minutes kids sat on the floor as coach did paperwork. Numerous coaches were on their cell phones or chatting. In the 20 min. students did one bridge. Moved to new location students sat for another 15 minutes! Then they tossed a ball back and forth then took turns running around a balance beam. My daughter is paying 80.00 for this? What a joke. My daughters used to go to Westwood when skills were actually taught, thats why we brought our granddaughter here. Granddaughters class is HUGE so no attention is given what so ever to help with skill development. Got lots of pics of this wasted time. Sad that Westwood once used to be so awesome and now its just a racket. Couple of new places opening in Katy! I look forward to getting her in a gym that actually teaches the skills!

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!My experience here has been awful. In my daughters class, there were too many toddlers for the instructor to handle. My kid felt lost and did not look forward to coming here. Ive never seen so many kids cry for class that is suppose to be fun. Instead of engaging with each child, what I saw was a hostile atmosphere; its loud and unorganized. I really tried to like this place. I think the only thing they got right was the jungle play area at the end of each session.After Harvey, we were not able to make it in. Just now I tried to call to get a refund for the month of September or schedule a makeup and Jennifer, the office manager, had the worst costumer service etiquette. She was quick to say well you signed the papers in May of this year... even if you dont come in for class, were still going to charge you. Its in our policy you signed. She was uninterested in helping me resolve this matter. I avoid writing a bad review at all cost, but this time it was necessary.Ill be taking my business elsewhere.

Good gym for little kids to learn the art of gymnastics. Groups are quite large and the classes for different age groups occur simultaneously in the large gym space.If youre not a fan of small children running around, parents going in and out, and an overall chaotic environments (during drop off and pickup times, not during class time), then maybe convince someone else to take your kids there :)

I would not recommend this place. I gave it two chances. I took my three-year-old son twice. Each time he was put in timeout and could not recall why. When asked about, they said The instructors couldnt recall what had happened. They are understaffed with too many children in a very chaotic, unstructured environment. I am referring to the parents day out events. We will never return. If you are looking for someone to watch your kids, regardless of the structure of the environment, this may be an option for you. If not find other sources. They are numerous better options out there.

My daughters were initially fearful at gymnastics but over the past six months they like going to gym. Their current coach is just great at encouraging and teaching them. The front desk is very helpful as well. The best gym in Katy.

My daughters have been attending Westwood since they were toddlers which was 4 years ago. We have attended several birthday parties there as well. Weve had nothing but EXCEPTIONAL coaches and valuable experiences. Every coach my daughters ever had were dedicated, patient, and kind. One of my daughters is particularly shy and she feels very comfortable with her classes there! Thank you Westwood for giving my girls a place to exercise in a fun way.

Three stars since the kids had fun but I got surprise credit card charge. We booked a 10-kid birthday party package for $180, The party went well and the coach was nice and helpful. A few days later I noticed my credit card was charged for an additional $110. I called they just told me because the number of kids was over 10. They counted we had 12 and went ahead charged more. Fine. I asked then I should be only charged $60 more because 10-20 kid package was $240. I was told I have to be charged another $50 just for the change of package (if I had told them a week before I would not have to pay the $50 change fee). They told me it was all written in the contract which I signed. It may be so but I thought this $50 change fee was unreasonable because we still just got one coach they didnt change anything. Just want to warn you if you have a party there be careful.

We celebrated our daughter B-day on January 2019!! Everything was just perfect!!

Not enough one on one teaching but the kids have a great time making friends and they actually learn pretty fast!

This places dance program is excellent, but I would really appreciate if the some of the lower level classes were later. My daughter really wants to be a dancer but she cant because the classes are all before 6:30, and we cant find anywhere as good as this. The dance coaches are all super nice and engaging with the kids in our experience with the westwood dance program, its a litter pricey but worth the money mostly.

We have been taking classes here for 4 years and really have been happy. The coaches emphasize having fun while learning proper form and technique. They push the kids without being too hard on them. Summer camps are lots of fun and a great value for the money.

Nice and clean. I took my daughter to try this place out and she really liked it. My only complaint, and the reason why I needed up taking her somewhere else is because theyre not competitive and not under USAG. But if youre trying to have your child be active without plans of competing in the future, then Id choose Westwood. Everyone is amazingly nice and knowledgeable.

Westwood has always been a place I called home! The coaches and directors here are so patient and helpful with every skill level that comes to class and I would recommend first-timers to join this amazing crew because not once do any of the coaches make you feel unincluded. 10/10 reccomend!

We adore Westwood! My children have been involved in dance (including company), tumbling and boys/girls team gymnastics. The instructors are supportive and encouraging. They have been incredible in working with my children to develop their skills and character.

Sammy is great! Nice facility, seems good for parties.

The level in general is not high, but its perfect to keep kids active and healthy.

I am editing my review, because the management was flexible and receptive to the feedback.They do have good facilities and coaches, but they need to focus on improving what kids get from regular classes and ensure kids progress and create incentives for coaches related to kids moving to the next level.

We love the classes and coaches at Westwood. My kids love going here. We have had amazing birthday parties here. The staff is incredible.

Toddler programs (Mom and me) are very good and the staff try hard to keep them excited and progressing. I also found the staff very accommodating to change class times and schedule makeups. I will continue to take both my boys as I can see progress, and they love it!

Probably one of the better places around for gymnastics, tumbeling, etc. Great for beginners, numerous, different classes to accommodate most any desire. Keep in mind the kids are young, the teachers have medium to large classes. If you are convinced that your 8 yr old is the next Mary Lou and need one on one only, youll need to check with the office or hire someone on the side. Continuous face to face training wont happen until theyre much older. First they need to have fun doing it.

Its competitively priced. The coaches are great. Weve been going for about 6 weeks now and it is the highlight of my daughters week.

Two words: Utter Chaos. It is ridiculous how there is absolutely no parking. Its a zoo when you arrive. No consistency in coaches. You have a different coach every week and there is always some excuse why my daughters class has to be condensed into another one so its a larger group with chaos. Then on top of that when you talk to someone about billing its not consistent and they draft your account when you told them when you would pay it. No remorse. Like I said its chaos they cant sell enough spots to save their life. It is unbelievably packed how can any child actually learn gymnastics. The coaches I question their experience in gymnastics. Extremely frustrated with this place and when I do have time we are looking for another place.

My daughter had a trial class couple weeks ago. It was horrible. First of all, too many kids in one class... she waited more time than actually doing something during one hour class. Unfriendly staffs didnt even explain to me about programs or classes and no follow-up. Couches were using their phones during the class. Too many people and dirty environment. Too much dusts in the place I couldnt stop sneezing while I was waiting. Overall, i dont think this place worth a dime.

We enrolled our daughter in the 3/4 year old class. The trial class was great. But after that I am disappointed. She always ends up w the same snotty teacher who seems to get frustrated with the kids and just sits around. I enrolled my daughter in gymnastics for a reason. If teachers arent going to pay more attention and actually teach the kids then they should not work here. I dont pay for laziness. Time for a new place.

The coaches in the parent and tot classes look and act annoyed by most kids. They clearly have their favorites and arent motivated to improve all children. We feel like we are wasting our money for the mediocre coaching and enthusiasm received.

We only attend once a week, but it has been great for back flip and other movement.

My 8 year old has been going to boys gymnastics classes here for last 3 years. HE loves it.

Love this gym. My daughter takes both gymnastics and ballet/tap, and in the summer she will be switching from gymnastics to Acro. Shes loves all of her classes and is genuinely excited to go every week. I wanted to throw a question out there for any other parents that attend Westwood. My daughter will be switching class schedules in the summer and therefore her ballet/tap teacher will change. Im trying to choose between two classes. One class is with Ms. Kelly and one is with Ms. Kelsey. Im sure both teachers are great, I just wanted to get suggestions from different parents that may have had one on one experience with them, since I myself have never met either one personally. Thanks so much for any suggestions.

Horrible experience, My 3 year daughter has recently started the preschool class. Last week Friday I was angered by one of the coaches who brought my daughter to tears. I watched this coach intensely as i noticed she was immediately unfriendly to the children and seemed easily irritated. My daughter couldnt perform a jump, and was so hard on my little girl, talking to her as if this 3 year old was training for for some tournament or something. So I complained to the office at the back, upon returning to see my 3 year old bursting into tears, eyes searching for me to come rescue her. At this time I noticed the head coach, who came to observe, she too witnessed my daughter crying, to my surprise brushed it off as if my daughter was just being helped. To me thats not helping AT ALL if a child is crying. This coach turned an activity that my daughter enjoyed into something she not keen on doing anymore. I intend on taking this to the highest management. We are very unhappy with this, management should ensure coaches actually enjoy working with child and have the skill to make it fun while the kids learn

All the manager cares about is money. I booked this place for my daughters birthday party and chose the package of 10 kids. According to their policy I called them one week in advance to confirm the package and asked them if I can keep this package with 11 kids and they said yes. After the party, they not only charged me for package 2, but a fine fee for not changing the package!!!! When I went to manager and explained for her she looked me in the eye and said, All my staff know the policy and they couldnt have said that. which meant I was lying. She was so rude and didnt even accept their mistake or apologize. HATE this place!!!

WOW. I have now seen multiple performances from this dance company and all I can say is wow. SO inappropriate!! Girls in bikinis dancing in front of a saloon setting to Bang Bang. This song is about SEX. These girls were portraying prostitutes!! Some were even shaking their butts in front of open windows, like a peep show. And some them are YOUNG! They may not understand the nuance, but adults do and this is unforgivable. I honestly cannot believe that parents let their kids participate in such blatantly sexual performances. Shame on all adults involved.

On the second day of class a rude coach that keep pulling and pushing the kids around in a brusque manner swat my daughter in the back several times because she was not doing things correctly. When I complain the 2nd head of coach with a bigger attitude acted like it was okay and it was part of the training. Worst place ever, save you money find a better place. I had my three daughters taking classes at this place paying a good amount of money, but after 2 sessions and this incident I will be finding them a better, friendlier, no violent place.

Reasonable and they work with you with on makeup classes

When I first put my daughter into Westwood, I was worried because of how many students there were. Once I spoke to my daughters instructors about what our goals were and what their thoughts were, everything was perfect. If my daughter could live up there, she would! I watch her learn so much during every class and she comes home to practice her new ballet techniques and whatever bend or twist she learned in acro. Her instructors feel more like friends and I absolutely wouldnt put my daughter anywhere else!

Westwood has been awesome for all of my kids! All the coaches are amazing with them.

It seemed very fun, everyone enjoyed it! Parents day out days were the best!

I would not recommend this place. The classes are too crowded the instructors don’t care and do not pay attention to the students. I had my three year old twins and they were not learning, advancing, but worst of all the instructors would not pay attention when one wasn’t doing the exercises they let them sit there, or jus ignore them. I was with them for several months, when I went to talk to them about my worries they didn’t care. Don’t waste your time or money on this place, all they will do is discourage your kids.

Good teacher and inexpensive tuition fee.

Went in on 3/5/14 to inquire about a birthday party, spoke to the girl sitting in the desk at the very back and she was very rude. It seemed like she could care less if we booked something or not, she just sat there and looked at us as if she just wanted us to leave her alone. Bad first impression, will not return.

Worst website and unprofessional help desk/office. We tried to book a birthday party for our son for September 25, 2016 1:30 P.M online but the website did not work. So, we called the help desk. They said they booked the birthday party for us but we never got any kind of confirmation email. We noticed the amount charged on the credit card for the number of kids was wrong so called them stating that our 1:30 P.M party has wrong number of kids. They told that it is now corrected that but on the party day when we arrived at 1:15 P.M to set the tables, front desk staff told us that party was booked for 1:00 P.M so 30 minutes time will be cut from out kids party. We never received any communication regarding the party time being 1:00 P.M and even when we called to correct the number of kids we clearly stated that the party was at 1:30 P.M and they did not told us that the party was booked for 1:00 P.M . This business is run by most unprofessional management. Coaches are great but that is the extend of it.

We love Westwood Gymnastics...all of their coaches are awesome. The kids just had a blast at the Halloween extravaganza.

My daughter loves this place. I like the fact that you can make up a missed class, so you get your moneys worth.

This place is terrible they dont look after your kid this is a waste of time and money. My daughter came home crying because of her Coach calling her fat.This is an outrage I warn ALL PARENTS, SIBLINGS AND BABY SITTERS this is not a safe environment for any kid.
