Great venue. I have been seeing various plays here for over 30 years. The last several years the performances have been outstandingly staged and very well performed. There really isnt a bad seat in this intimate venue. I am looking forward to the next couple of decades of performances at KC Rep. Not we do not have season tickets, we pick and choose the performances we see, we are treated as well as the regulars, which is very nice too

Ive been here once around 6 to 8 years ago to see Christmas Carrol and no exaggeration, it blew my mind in every way. It was my first big live theater performance and as someone who critiques every little detail in the film business and live performances, there is not one thing I would change about it. If you dont think you would like live theater, think again because trust me youll like this place and want to come back!

We had an absolute wonderful time seeing the Christmas Carol. It was our third visit over three years and our boys like it more each year. This year they thought it was better than last and thought the ghost of Christmas present was the best part of the play! To the cast and crew, “We’ll Done!” Continue the great work!! We’ll be back.

The Pride & Prejudice production in March 2019 is high farce and highly enjoyable. We all know Austen’s novel & plot, so to see men playing women’s roles, hear modern pop music and watch cast members dance The Bump is hilarious fun. They’re treating this rendering with a little less respect than the many movies, So relax and enjoy. Thank you, KC Rep!

I have seen a couple of shows here and I have enjoyed them all in different ways. Lots of parking because youre on a school campus, a big open house to mill around (buy meat pies at a show like Sweeney) and comfortable seats to enjoy your show. They do a mix of classics, modern classics and new works so there is something for everyone. Come for the quality theatre, stay for the informal Pre-Show talks or Monday night playwright slams!

We bought tickets for Pride and prejudice only to find out after we got there it was a parody version and all the women were played by men..the mother was annoying and kept ringing a bell..A timeless classic ruined and we left at intermission..Plays in the past werent as bad but not sure I am going to risk losing that much money again especially for a special occasion like my kids anniversary...

We have been season ticket holders for years, the KC Rep productions have been one of the artistic highlights each year. I find myself anticipating each upcoming season shortly after the last is over. From the ubiquitous Our Town, Of Mice and Men, and A Christmas Carol to The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime, Sweeney Todd and the latest Indecent the Rep has never failed to deliver art of the highest calibre.

I have attended many plays at UMKC and everytime my mind is blown on how great everyone is. The musicians were perfect. Production went as smooth as any Broadway show Ive seen. And the actors were phenomenal. Seats were very comfortable for a heavily insulated man like me. I just enjoy the plays there all the time. This time around I saw a Christmas Carol. Scrooge was amazing. The stage moving with a lot of moving parts, climbing stairs and keeping lines was amazing to watch. The ghosts were done quite well. Outside in the lobby the staff were very nice and welcoming. Drinks and snacks were good. Not too pricey. Great time!

All seats are good. We saw A Christmas Carol. The performers did a great job and the costumes were wonderful. Most of the time the audio was too loud and we had to cover our ears a couple of times.
