We had a good time doing the secret island excursion through Kualoa Ranch. Use of the paddle boards and kayaks were included. The beach was like a post card youd see representing paradise. Lots of shade from the palm trees and mangrove trees. There were hammocks and lounge chairs as well as back yard games to play. I wish it could have been longer.

Great secluded place away from the crowded beaches. Staff provided a lot of activities such as paddle boarding, kayaking, ring toss and volley ball. Not in the top 20 best beaches though, but it provided a good time with the family. This was all part of a package through Kualoa Ranch.

I got a military discount so it was like $40 bucks for the secret island tour. There’s about 20-30 people. You take a bus up the road to a dock where you ride a Hawaiian style boat across a lake to the island. On the island you can paddle board, kayak, corn horn, swim, snorkel, volleyball, badminton, or even ping pong. There’s hammocks and beach chairs to lounge on. They even offer floaties and sand toys.

Cool spot to spend a day, even if your local. There are kama’aina rates, which make the experience worth it. You get to spend a few hours on the “secret island” where you’ll find anything from beach volley ball to paddle boards, kayaks, and even a short boat cruise to check out sea turtles. I’d say it would be the best if you planned on going with a big group, that way you can take full advantage of the activities as a whole. I went with my partner, we just wanted to relax and do things at our pace, which is also possible.I’d advise to bring all the snacks, drinks, picnic supplies and anything you need to have a good time. Also call in ahead, the workers are chill and will advise you when or when not to come because of certain circumstances like one day might be full of children, another might be a big family reunion. Other than that, not a bad place to spend a morning with the kama’aina rate if you’ve never been.

I had a good experience here with a group of friends, there were boat tours with viewable turtles, Paddle boards, Kayak, Volleyball court, ping pong table, And tented area.There was a Limited Snack shop That took credit card only, So bring your own food and Drink. It was a lot of coral and the beach Water, and the water wasnt very deep, but there is a sign that States obvious that there are no lifeguards on duty. There are life vests available and the staff on duty will use of the megaphone to coach you back in.

This is definitely an experience that should be had when in Hawaii! Its a safe, cool, and fun environment! Go paddle boarding, kayaking, play volleyball or just relax and tan! Theres just so much to do and its absolutely worth it!

I prefer snorkeling and beautiful beach. There are a lot different activities that you can do like kayaking/peddling. The view isn’t pretty as lanikai beach.

As our first excursion on KUALOA it was a nice family fun experience. It was reasonable inexpensive to have the beach for the day with my family. Granted there are a few other families that also paid to be there but the area was well maintained with plenty of paddles boards, volley balls, safety jackets, canoes and sand toys for everyone to have a great time. There is no food on the island so prepare a small picnic if you don’t plan on eating at Kualoa before hand. My family and I didn’t have time so a picnic was appropriate for us. Also bring towels and anything else you need to clean up. There are outdoor showers for cleanup. It was a bit cloudy this day but we still had a great time!

Its already inexpensive tour but if you have local, military ID get more discount. You can bring your own lunch (breakfast) n just lay back, enjoy!Theres a tons of fun activity items like Canoes, SUP, noodles, ping-pong table, volleyball nets. If you just wish to chill you have hammocks and beach to lay down as well.

Enjoyed our youth retreat at the Kualoa Ranch private secret island beach. Staff were amazing and the scene was stunning.

We loved the secret island beach tour from Kuoloa ranch. It was great because only about 30 people get to go at a time. There are multiple beach games, stand up paddle boards, kayaks, hammocks and beach chairs to use. They will also take you out to the sandbar in a glass bottom boat. The water is beautiful and warm. There are also showers, changing rooms and picnic tables. Loved it and would definitely do it again.

Secret Island is not that secret how it sounds. Kualoa Ranch takes people out there with the boat, and they hang out there kayaking and stand up paddleboarding. Afternoon when they are not there the place is pretty empty, relaxing.Good place for stand up paddleboarding and kayaking or a nice beach walk.

Amazing island cost $45 per Adult, and $35 per child to get to it. Your on the island (technically a penisula) for 180 minutes. The time goes by fast, you have the options to do lots of activities like kayaking, paddle boarding, volleyball, ping pong, glass bottom boat ride. Along with just relaxing in the hammock it chair on the beach, you definitely wont forget your time here but i do wish it was a longer stay. For an extra price you can have them bring Hawaiian style food for your party, the food includes rice, BBQ chicken, ribs, pineapple, fruit, salad, and drinks. We hooked up with a group that was here for theyre senior trip and they were nice enough to allow us to grab some of theyre grub, even though we brought our own food it was nice they shared.You have to buy your tickets from the kualoa ranch, they offer rides to and from the ranch to the pier. We have our own car so we just decided to drive, make sure they know your driving if you choose so theyre not trying to account for you on the bus. Overall we loved it and it was a nice way to spend the last day with my father in town, well definitely be going back but probably not until other family members visit. Mahalo for reading

Very cool, customer service is great! I was expecting something else. Great for families. Bring a picnic. Kayaks and equipment in disrepair. Lost was filmed there....beautiful but odor of decaying leaves. Reminded me of grade school camp.

There are so many better beaches on the island than secret Island that is free of charge. The equipment is dirty (lifejackets stink), there are no snorkelling opportunities and the volleyball courts arent maintained.It is nice that they do have equipment but you can easily get to your own and to go a much nicer beach and save your money.

This was a nice getaway with a great beach and no crowd. The dock from the TV show lost is where you depart from, so that was a really cool photo opportunity. The crew is nice and friendly. They have lots to do: kayak, paddle board, beach volleyball, hammocks, beach games, etc... Or you can just relax on the beach, or swim.. definitely worth checking out if you have the opportunity!

What a beautiful venue for a wedding!! We took a canoe ride over to the peninsula for the actual ceremony overlooking kaneohe. Back to the main island to get cocktails and dinner.

I dont know that I would call this a secret island, while its on an island its not a separate island. We were here as part of the ranch tour with the end of our day relaxing by the beach. The package included kayaks, paddle boards and beach games. We had tons of fun.

So you pay $45 to visit a beach with total control. If youre 5 years old its totally fine. You can use paddle board or kayaks there but you allowed to move across the big swimming pool size area. Water is not clear. All that entertainment is an illusion. Nothing to do there. Try to avoid all Kualoa Ranch tours they are just a joke. Find any other beach on north shore and you will get more fun for free.

Awesome Periodt! Only the bathrooms. Need better porta pottys. They were FILTHY as HECK! And my suggestion is a better walkway towards the beach. But the place is so beautiful!

It was so awesome to share the beach with only 30 people. We are able to kayak, paddleboard and canoeing at the beach.

You do need to pay for the beach views and access ... but its still rather beautiful

Fun! My family and I enjoyed our time at the beach with this company. I suggest using the paddle board. It was my first time trying it out and I had a blast.

My family had a great time and we all enjoyed our beautiful advanture and it was on 7/26/18-Thursday. Our family was celebrating 1 year of our daughter that pasted last year. And the whole week we went to differnt places and Secret Island was one of it. We have been residing here since 1998 and this was our first time to the Secret Island. I thank God for that day and to my daughter DeeMiracle. She was the one that arranged everything and knew about this place. And it was her 21st Birthday. Welove it and it was so beautiful. Thank you to all the workers.

I loved the kyaking.

Great idea and seclusion but the beach sucks, the water is brown not blue, and tons, tons of rocks in the water! If you dont bring your water shoes your going to cut your feet.

Lots of activities, kayak, stand up board, snorkeling, etc, without a big crowd. Weather on the North Shore can be quite different from Waikikis. Check weather before you go even it is bright and sunny in Waikiki.

When not occupied for special events, this beach is pristine and excluded. Beautiful, but there are many mosquitoes to contend with due to marshy conditions of adjacent area.

As a paying customer of Kualoa ranch you will be shuttled to and from Secret Island and will also have access to the provided amenities; SUP boards, kayaks, beach volleyball, ping pong tables, etc. As Kualoa Ranch does run tours out of this location this beach can be busy at times but is normally a great getaway beach on the island of Oahu.
