Come. here.We landed at Nickel Charlies for breakfast based on a recommendation from a local. I am writing this after our 3rd breakfast visit in a row. We really enjoyed it! Nice staff, fun ol’ country atmosphere with old pedal cars hanging from the ceiling. First morning we ordered the breakfast special of a prime rib scramble and felt like we were getting a lot of good food for the money. Went into Glacier NP and weren’t hungry till dinner time! Second time my husband had sirloin steak and eggs for under $10. The scratch made biscuits were fluffy hearty additions to every meal. I enjoyed a tasty basic eggs, bacon, hash browns breakfast with large dinner plate pancakes one morning and a steak scramble the next. Every breakfast choice was excellent! The only thing I’d hope for is a bit less bitter coffee but that’s nothing a little cream can’t fix. Overall we loved it! Go here for breakfast and enjoy, leaving full and satisfied!

When visiting Montana my family came here twice in one week. Once for breakfast and the other for lunch on different days. It had a nice cozy feeling to it and the food cones inbig portions do its worth sharing.

I grew up coming to this restaurant all the time and was my favorite place to go have breakfast. Now that Im older and live elsewhere I always make it a point to stop for breakfast any time we are nearby. Great service, great food, good prices and atmosphere. If you like spicy, try the Prairie Fire!

While it is a casino/bar it also has a family atmosphere that serves wonderful breakfast. There are some amazing decorations hung throughout the atmosphere. One can enjoy sports while out on a nice weekend meal. The steak was cooked to perfection. The server was friendly and helpful. If you want to meet up with family or friends this is a great place to go. There is some unique history as well.

Love the menu & atmosphere! They could take a little more time on the details before serving the dishes though. All food was good, however 26.99 is a little steep for Prime Rib but thought I would try it. It was served with like 4oz of fat! I like some fat but this was huge and could have been trimmed before serving and a few other little things with our other dishes. I loved the Steamed Clams! Will definitely try them again.

The host and waitress were very friendly and attentive. Food was really good and fast also! We will definitely be back again!

They are practicing social distancing, waiters are masked. A family style dining arrangement, food is good, but a bit above an average meal cost. The location is great! Right on Hwy. 2 East, in Kalispell, heading toward the entrance to Glacier Park, (about 30 miles) which is now OPEN!!!

By law you are not allowed to force someone to wear a mask if they have a medical exemption. Even though I told the waitress that I have asthma, she would not serve me unless I wore a mask.

Not a single person in the restaurant was wearing a mask, but Jacob, the manager, told us we could not be served unless we wore a mask to walk from the front door, 20 feet to be seated. Have been eating here for years. Never again.

Nickle Charlies is a pretty neat little casino and bar/grill. This review is after my third time there, all of them being enjoyable dining experiences.The pasta dishes are excellent. The ranch dipping sauce is one of the best in town. The nachos with real cheese are quite tasty.Service even during rush hour was good. The servers are friendly and experienced!All in all a comfortable place to grab a good bite or drink and relax.

The steak was not as good as usual

This is one of the better, lesser-known restaurants in the valley. the atmosphere is average but the food is one of the best that we have found especially for the price. in fact my wife and I chose to go here for Valentines Day just cuz we didnt want to end up with food that was less than par the staff there friendly and the prices are really great for what you get

Had the chicken pot pie. Packed with fresh vegetables and chicken topped with a puff pastry. The only issue was it was not hot, it was barely warm.. We also got the chicken wrap which was really good. There service was on point and the waitress checked on us frequently.

Nickle Charlies is the kind of place you go when you just want some comfort food.Its not fancy or pretentious. Ive eaten there covered in dirt after working all day and seen people in there in their church clothes. Its just a comfy place with great atmosphere and good food.The prices are pretty reasonable as well.

Seated very quickly. Staff was nice but rarely came to check on us. Waited 30 minutes for our appetizer (the restaurant was not busy whatsoever) and waited 50 minutes for our pizza. The pizza looked and tasted like it was store bought from Wal Mart. Not impressed.

Nice quiet restaurant/bar. Moderately priced. Staff was very nice. There was an area apart from the restaurant separated by tinted glass with what I assume were slot machines. I dont play a lot of slots so Im not sure. Randomly decorated. Nice place for a quick bite. Id go back.

I have never been in Nickel Charlies and ever had a bad experience, the staff and all the waitresses are the best. They dont make you wait long periods of time without checking to see if everythings good! Theyre the Best!!!!!!!

Was good food, several people in our party. My mozzarella sticks were a little undercooked, would have refired them but didnt want so they removed from ticket.thought prices were a little steep then the gigantic portion showed up. Mountain of roast beef, and a double burger that needed help from tipping over on the plate. Mud pie for dessert, absolutely wonderful. Friendly staff, could have checked on the table more, but overall pleased with the service and food.

This restaurant is not a chain store, everything is done on a local level. The food is outrageously good, the service is outstanding, and the vibe is low key and friendly. The decor is totally Montana, with a log home appearance, making you feel welcomed and important.We have so many favorites I cant list them all. But we spend New Years Eve here for dinner as its so affordable yet sublime! They set the mood with candlelight dinners, table linens and music to suit the event. The desserts reflect the everything is homemade theme and will just blow you away. Pies are their speciality, but its ALL great. Youll be surprised how many yummy choices youll have, made by their fine famous chef. Its definitely not just a burger joint! Try it, youll come back for more! TEN stars!

My breakfast was served to me with 2 giant black hairs. I sent my food back. 3 minutes later the server brought me a new breakfast that she said the just prepared. I gave her the benefit of the doubt that it was a new order and not my previous order I sent back. Being a Certified Chef I checked the temp of the food by placing my hand under the plate, warm not hot. It was my food I sent back that was brought back to me. Too bad, I liked this place. Dont lie to me. I would have waited 10 min for a fresh plate.

The food was AMAZING. The atmosphere was great. The service was fantastic. The pricing was perfect, not too expensive, but not cheap - the quality of the food is good. Their ranch was perfect - which I mean, most people like ranch, so it can be a make or break type of thing. Haha. I was honestly pleasantly surprised by the whole experience. Will most definitely be back!

This is one of the locals hit list spots in town. If youre here, you gotta grab a hot chocolate! I am all game for the spot on service, and mostly everything on the menu. Aside from the dry cod, Ive enjoyed everything I oder here and would say the food is great quality for a very fair price.

Food was good, service was average but the restaurant was very uncomfortable. It was 28 degrees outside and they had the air conditioning going. I asked for them to turn it off but said they couldnt because the thermostat was locked. Not sure whose brilliant idea this was but I had to sit and literally shiver while I ate (we had a large group and I was stuck where I was). Not impressed with the care for customer comfort. Probably not going to return.

Good place to go to for lunch, the food was delicious and nice portions.

We have ventured to this establishment for many years and have had a great experience every time until our recent visit. I have noticed a drastic change in the atmosphere over the past few months, it is chaotic and stressful. Food portions went down but prices went sky high. Service is now a 0. Wait time to place your order is asinine. It took our waitress 20 minutes to even acknowledge we didnt have drinks and another 30 minutes to take our order. There were only 4 tables (customers) in the entire place. I dont know what happened here but I hope things go back to normal. I will not go here again until I see some better reviews. Regardless of the bad service and no teamwork between coworkers that I could see, our waitress still got her tip.

My favorite go to place for breakfast! Big delicious feel good meals served by friendly employees. My delicious breakfast that I chose today from the many items was a great bottomless cup of coffee with their Yummy buttery hash browns, eggs, a fluffy homemade biscuit and side of their super scrumptious (soooo good!) sausage gravy!!

Never know what kind of service or food youll get. This place has been an occasion hit or a big miss. After this last visit we will not be returning. The waitress was nice enough but too scattered brained and I couldnt even eat half of a BLT because the grease from the burnt bacon soaked into the overpowering garlic bread. The cinnamon rolls in the morning are your safe bet though.

We had dinner there tonight, our waitress was Danny. She was horrible, she had a terrible attitude, she never came back to check on us. We actually had to ask other waitress to get water, and other things. Then when she did finally come back, she was really snotty. It was clear that she didnt really enjoy her job, Im sorry but being a waitress is a customer service job, if you dont like people, its probably not the job for you.

The service and atmosphere was great. However, the salad that I ordered that was a pretty pricey salad was served on iceberg lettuce. It was almost a $15 dollar salad so I would think they would be able to afford something than iceberg.

The food is good if over priced, but the reason for the 1 star review is they close at 9pm in the middle of the summer. Its not even dark yet. I used to go here all the time but I no longer will until you keep respectable hours. Seriously get a clue.

Had a great 75th Birthday for my Dad. The food was great and the service was even better. Good prices lots of good food. Will be back again soon.

Our server was new. Let us sit FOREVER waiting on our meals. When she brought them, told us the cook had dropped my hubbys so had to redo. Would have been nice if she had actually TOLD us this instead of ignoring us. Had to ask for our check - left us cooling our heels, AGAIN! Husband had Chicken Parmesan, I had Pot Roast. Plate was 1/2 full of my meat, big scoop of mashed potatoes. No veggie. Way too much meat. Only ate 1/4 of it, if that. What a waste, but it WAS good, Ill give it that. Need to cut that portion by at least half, though, to cut down on waste. Husband said his was fine. Huge piece of meat and spaghetti. He left about 1/3 of it behind.
