Twin Lakes park is a great spot for the kids! It is also beautiful on the sunny days and gets some good views when you can see the sunset. There is always lots of room for parking and even has a boat launch! I am not sure if there is any fish because I have never tried!

Trails are nice and mostly graveled. Good for hiking and biking. Make sure you carry bear spray when enjoying these trails.

Twin lakes (casually known as Castle Park) is a recently rebuilt super playground. It was destroyed in an inferno about 2 years ago and just finished reconstruction this year, 2019. It includes some play rquipment desinged for people with physical disability, pour in place rubberized ground for wheelchair and limited mobility access, and swings, ziplines, and other things installed with restricted mobility in mind. It has two multi-story structures to play in (hence the local nomenclature) with slides down, which, while accessibly by adults, are *not* designed with mobility impairments in mind. For those who can access them, though, theyre awesome! Its one of the few places in town that offers a running space where your feet wont get soggy (a small astroturf field) and the whole park is fenced by rounded pickets. Its also the only local park that has a large dedicated toddler/preschool area with a small maze, lots of art, and little-kid friendly slides and attractions!Outside that, there are a few covered eating areas, a fireplace, a fishing dock with rails to catch the trout stocked annually (as of this review, the king salmon stocking program is discontinued) and permanent bathrooms with drinking fountains. An additional (though fairly faded) attraction is the trail that runs the length of the lakes and a bit beyond- starting at castle park there is a huge sun painted on the ground, and the solar system is mapped out along the trail to scale (distance between them is to scale, not size of planets/Sol) so you can pretend youre the New Horizons probe and enjoy the looooong trip out to Pluto and then wander around afterward to see whats out there XDParking is ample and easy, its directly on the bus line, and though Ive never known it to be neccessary in all the years Ive been here, its about 60 seconds away from the hospital complex! So let the kids get wild lol.I also recommend swinging by Costco or Breeze In to get some lunch and make a picnic of it in the summer, or cocoa from Breeze In during the winter to take advantage of one of the best family sledding hills in town, just behind the park. If youre visiting in the summer, you can also stop by the DIPAC fish hatchery to see the salmon coming in just across the main street, about 2 minutes away.Seriously, hard to go wrong with a trip to this park!

This used to be the best park, playground, walking, and dog trail until the playground was accidently set on fire by two young children. Efforts are being made, and funds are being raisedto rebuild the playground. The community needs this place back. It was and will be again a monument showing what can be accomplished when everyone bands together focusing on the same goal. 01/04/2018- Ice Skaters and hockey players on the lakes greatvhill for sledding
