What spectacular day we had when visiting Juneau, the tramway to the 1800 foot level of the 3800+ foot Mount Roberts was right at the end of our pier. Very convenient and the ride up and down had spectacular views of Juneau, the mountain, the channels and port. There were cool things to see, experience and do at 1800 foot level. There were totem poles being carved in logs and live trees. Hiking trails, eagle watching, flying and roosting and a rehab facility for injured birds and etc. It was well thought out and we enjoyed several of the activities that were offered. The tram was a thrilling experience going up & down the near vertical face of Mount Roberts. If your are there it certainly is worth the trip up & down for the views alone. So enjoy, we certainly did.
