The best pool in town. It could use a hot tub though.

Joplin Parks and Recreation has 3 pools in Joplin and Schifferdecker Family Aquatic center is clearly the best pool! The Schifferdecker pools is the largest of these pools and has something for everyone! There are 2 diving boards, rock climbing wall, basketball goal, lazy river and multiple slides. The facilities are very clean and plenty of room outside for your towels and equipment. Pool passes are available at the Joplin Parks and Recreation office and are priced reasonably. Only drawback about the Joplin Parks and Recreation pools are their hours. Currently they are short on lifeguard staff and the Ewert and Cunningham pools are open on opposite days. I wish these pools would stay open later as most days I do not get off of work until 5pm, but I heard they offer some night swims. I highly recommend this pool!!! I enjoy going to the schifferdeckerpool but on my last visit there was very disappointed because there was and lightning strike alert and we were told that there would be a 30 minute wait after the lightning stop. I ask for arefund or a pass for another day as the 30 minutes would not start until after the time the pool with close. I was told that we could not have those unless we waited out the full-time by staying there until closing time. But just didnt make much sense to me.

Great family fun. Life guards are excellent. Its clean and well maintained.

No floaties. Limited food. No lounges. We still had fun, but I didn’t know all the details before we arrived.

THE WATER PARK IS AMAZING. FROM THE KID POOLS, TO THE BIG SLIDES, TO THE LAZY RIVER, ALSO THE HIGH DIVE AND REGULAR DIVING BOARDS THIS PARK HAS IT ALL AND VERY SAFE WITH LOTS OF LIFE GUARDS AND OTHER EMPLOYEES. YOU CAN BRING IN DRINKS AND SNACKS IT JUST CANT BE IN A ACTUAL COOLER . YOU CAN DI THE COOLERS THAT ARE LIKE BAGS THOUGH.

I love this place. $5 adults.$4 I think for kids, but a 4 person family pass is $140 for all summer and we love it.This place has it all. Diving boards, slides, and lazy river. Its best to be 48 inches tall.They also have a baby pool.

Very clean pool. Very crowded though. The best time to go if you want to tube on the lazy river is between 4 and 6 pm. I wish you would stay open later in the summer though. Even though the kids have school starting next week there are plenty of adults who would still swim!

It would have been great had we of got to actually swim, but since it was lightning warning they closed the pool. Which I guess is a good thing because they were looking out for our safety...

The pool was great! This was my grandkids last fun outting before school started and it was a big hit. We live around 40 miles away but the drive was worth it. Cant wait til next summer!

If this pool actually opened their gates to the public at the listed time they opened it would make our visits more pleasant don’t have your opening time listed as 1 if you’re not going to open until half an hour later.

Pretty decent public pool. Neeeed more inflatables or a better system for distribution. Could literally spend your entire time there waiting for one.

There was poop on the bathroom walls. They let everyone in didnt even get changed and everyone was told get out of the pool because of lighting. I got a locker to put my kids stuff in watched kids getting into lockers going through other peoples stuff. Didnt see any lighting sat for 45 mins before they closed the pool still didnt see any lighting. I wont be going back.

We enjoy swimming here. There are 5 of us in the family. They have things for all ages. All 3 kids really like coming to this pool. I also really like the early morning lap swim. Great exercise opportunity.

Its fun and all but in the parking lot my sister almost got kidnapped so you should go but just stay together

We were on Vacation from another state, we happened to drive by this park and the kids went crazy! We stopped reluctantly due to it being very busy...WOW I was surprised...there was plenty of room for all 8 of us...the snacks were actually delicious and a nice size... the life guards were very great with making sure the children were supervised and safe at all times, there were plenty guards around with all the children that were there. I was definitely pleased with there staffing I will have to say this was alot better trip than White Water & CHEAPER!!! DEFINITELY WORTH THE STOP!

Slides are cool

Best pool with the best lifeguards in town. We have had family passes for a couple of years and no longer bother with the other pools. Schifferdecker is just hands down a better experience for the price.

The restrooms were the best! They were air conditioned and a great cool spot (a much needed reprieve from the sweltering heat of a swim meet!).

I have always loved going to this pool with my family my six-year-old recently learned that he can reach at the end of the slides and he has been allowed to go down the multiple person green slide several times in our last visits and even to day however after he went down that slide about 20 × 2 day he was told he could not go down that slide any longer because he was too short the regulation say he has to be 48 tall and he is 46 tall I was very upset when a life guard turned him away after he had been going down that slide all day long I went to a manager and the manager acted like I could care less that my child was upset due to one lifeguard deciding that he was too short

It was awesome. Today was my daughters first time at a public pool. The wading/kiddie pool was spacious despite all the kids and parents and she loved the splash pad area!

The kids love this place. The zero entry is really nice when you are chasing babes.

Excellent Memembers only night. High 5 to Joplin Parks and The life Guards and Snack Bar Staff that stayed late. I really enjoyed the evening.

Actually this is a unique museum area. Enjoyed the circus miniatures and the ore mining exhibit very much. Also houses information on Joplin area people of note such as baseballs Stan Musial.

Im glad Joplin has this! Just wish they were open longer in the year, and had better hours. Music volume is a bit loud too. Other than that, great fun for the whole family!

Wonderful awesome place yet women life guards dont even care if your kid is starting to drown...my kid was pushed out by a current area they have in the bigger pool and the lady life guard just stared at him!!! He is 8!!!!!! Your owner should watch these women! They (women) dance and talk with other life guards and stare at other women instead of watch the pools...the male ones I seen so far are fine, they stare at the pools, and watch our kids...my son could have drown if it had not been for my sister in law!!!! It looks like the men take their job seriously and the women are just there to try and look pretty! So sad!!!

The place is a pretty good pool compared to other pools in the area, I always have fun when I go but the only problem I have is there arent enough innertubes for the amount of people that go there, you may have to wait for 5-10 minutes just to get one. Great pool with minor drawbacks.

Love this pool. I believe its the most expensive in Joplin, but its also the newest and has the most to offer. Its also still quite affordable. There are several slides, a kiddy playground, a lazy river, and an Olympic sized pool. The Olympic pool has a rock wall and basketball goal in it. There is also a snack bar. My family lives going here.

I love that pool it is the best swimming pool i have ever been to

Ive been there 3 times with my kids and friends, its a nice park and its lots of fun, but the last two times I was there my 6yr son and his 6yr friend were going down the green big slide the hole day until the life guards do there rotation, then they were not allowed to ride down the slide because they were to small, we talk to the maneger and they acted like they didnt care and told us it was the rules, my deal is if one lifeguard is doing there job and mesuring then they all need to do it, how do you tell your kids after riding the slide all day he is no longer allowed to? wont go back there never again!

This is the best one in town. The wide slide in the main pool is my favorite because there arent alot of stairs. My husband & I race down it & its great for kids who are too small to go down the big slides. The lazy river is a great place to rest after climbing the stairs to the big slides. The big winding slide had a secret advantage if you know what it is. Most ppl dont know about it. There is a small lap pool section near the water basket ball hoop. Also there are a couple of ledges u can lounge on. Also there is an adult time every couple of hrs that clears out the kids of the main pool.

We had lots of fun well worth the money. We will be going back.
