The entry way of this theatre is a site to be hold. Im not sure of the actual history but the lobby of this theatre looks like a beautiful, piece of architecture from the 20s or 30s. The High ceilings and elegant staircases are just beautiful. This is a great place to go if youre into a more intimate concert or show. I would recommend going to check out an event!

This a great venue to see shows of all types. The acoustics for music shows is great! Not really a bad seat in the house. You can see the stage from anywhere your seated and being a smaller venue its a more close up experience. The old decor inside is beautiful to look at.

We saw Rodrigo y Gabriela here. What a concert, and what a venue! Ive never been to this part of Joliet before, and didnt know there would be such a lovely theatre there. Lots of fun places to eat and drink right nearby, plenty of parking. We are looking forward to having an opportunity to come back. Beautiful place

A superb 1926 vaudeville theater. The first production I saw was when my grandparents took me and my brother and sister to see Raggedy Ann and Andy around the mid-1980s. Since then Ive seen many concerts, a play or two, and had my high school graduation there. The Rialto is truly a gem.

Our 1st trip to this historic building. They offer tours of this wonder so we will be back. The highlight was before the performance the pipe organ came up from out of the floor, & played for almost an hour. I really enjoyed seeing this 14 carat gold trim organ sounding amazing. My whole family loved this mid-week movie. This venue was clean & preserved to perfection. The staff was very kind & sweet to my grandsons. A lovely night.

Such beautiful architecture. Production of Finding Neverland was wonderful, though the chairs are not very comfortable (hence the 4 stars) and if there person in front of you is ever so much taller than you (I am 5.6) you wont be able to see unobstructedly. Sound was very good, sets were visually engaging and volunteers were friendly and helpful.

I have only been here for two weddings so far. The entryway where receptions are held is very pretty. They offer outside food, drink, decor, etc options which is both good and bad. It is already lovely inside this area, not much decor is needed. Seating for a large wedding is not ideal as there is a central location then a row of tables leading to the outside doors. The theater area looks like an old theater, wedding ceremonies can be held there as well as other entertainment.

Absolutely beautiful venue for my sister-in-laws wedding and reception. Ok the realtor number one is so beautiful! Secondly Went to go see Nelly last night an it was amazing he did his thing. So much fun crowd was great his opening act j Brown was wonderful the environment was fun friendly an so wonderful! The lighting was great sound perfect just such a great experience. My only complaint was the old security guy if he was even security he was like a seat vale person, but he was rude Ill mannered. Mean an very cranky I’m 8 months pregnant I asked him to sit some where else cause the where I was i kept falling on the step in the box seat tripping not once but twice! With my ligaments stretching I’m in a lot of pain today from having to catch myself he got really rude an told me absolutely not. Then at one point literally saw him get in a ladies face screaming at her as tho she was a 7 year old child. She had to be at least mid 20 early 30 I wish someone would. Very unprofessional an did not care about anyone. Aside from that tho it was a wonderful time an beautiful place an Loved seeing Nelly!

Largest Chandelier, Beautiful Theater, See PhotosThe Rialto Square Theater in downtown Joliet, IL is a gem. This beautiful theatre began life as a movie palace with a gorgeous pipe organ and hosted Vaudeville stage acts. Today the Rialto is big enough to attract big names and host private events year round. But it is small enough that every seat is close to the stage. Tickets are often half the price of Chicago theaters and you sit closer. This classic theater along Historic Route 66 has a mirrored lobby designed like Versailles. The main floor, balcony and ceiling create great acoustics giving great sound quality. And the Duchess Chandelier is the largest in North America. (See photos.) Call ahead to see about a guided tour. The Rialto is just a block away from Harrah’s Casino with good rooms and food for cheap.See the rialtosquare website for schedules of events and concerts.
