Had an amazing experience at the Bike Hub. I walked in looking for a bike and Buzz was so patient and answered all my questions, even though there was a big chance I wouldnt be buying a bike from him since the last bike he had might have been a bit small on me. He explained everything to me and let me take it for a test ride. He even encouraged me to go to other stores and check out other bikes before choosing a bike (dont know many people that would be ok with you walking out of the store and potentially buying somewhere else). He suggested changing the stem on the bike so that it would fit my measurements and it made a big difference. I went to another store to try another bike, but ultimately came back to the Bike Hub and bought the bike (with the new stem) - and it is a perfect fit! The bike is amazing and I love riding it and I am so grateful to Buzz and Julius (if I remember his name correctly) who helped me so patiently with everything I needed. My next bike (which will hopefully be in a long time) will definitely be from The Bike Hub!

I really glad that I picked The Bike Hub to buy a new bike. I was one of the first one who was able to have the new Trek Checkpoint ALR 5. Buying a new bike is always a big decision and when you start your relationship even more important. I went back after a few miles to set the shifters and I got exceptional service.

The shop was packed and they were able to fix my tires and break within a matter of days. They were also very helpful in explaining to me what they fixed and why. They took time out of their day to explain what I can do to prevent my bike from constantly being in the shop.

Recently picked up my old bike I hadnt ridden in a few years and thought it would be wise to get a tune up. Found The Bike Hub online and based on the good reviews it was my top choice. First brought it in last week to fix a flat, which was done in less than a day, and I was happy enough to come back for a basic tune up. After a few days I got a call that it was ready and picked it up for a test ride. I could immediately tell the difference: brakes stopped on a dime (which Buzz did warn me about), gears shifted smoothly, and the bike looked as clean as the day I got it. Before leaving, Buzz told me my chain is still good for a year and I appreciated him not replacing it before needing to just to up-charge me. Highly recommend!

Love this Bike Shop! Nice selection of accessories at Great Prices. Just had a Full Tune Up on my Fuji Ace, and it runs so smoothly now. Really cleaned it up and have the Gears Perfect! Owner Buzz is friendly and really cares about his customers!

So so decided to get my Sons old bike back in to shape for riding. I realized that I need a few parts to make that happen. I tried a place in Bayonne but they already closed there doors, so I looked online and spoke to a few friends. The Bike Hub was recommended. I called to make sure they open, they were very polite on the phone unlike some other places I called in the past. I told them I needed some parts, then he asked me if I wanted to give him the list so he could check the availability. I thought that was nice but I said I would just go in. I wanted to check out the shop. I had a great experience, I got all the parts I needed, even though I know there is shortage on bikes and there parts because of Covid. I brought in a bike that I bought online and botched trying to fix myself at home. Brought it in and within 48 hours they fixed my bike!!! Its like a brand new bike, so amazing! Plus theyre the friendliest guys! I totally recommend going there if you need any bike help!

Bought my bike from this shop 2-3 years ago and am a bit late on writing a review. Even so, bike hub really sticks their neck out for their customers and community. Bought my bike and through the servicing the shop has given me the bike holds up in excellent shape. Most shops usually forget their customers after an transaction but this shop makes you feel special through that process and after it. When I think of bikes I think of here!

Pretty cool shop, I get what I need done for my bike and Buzz the owner really makes sure he takes care of you. I recently got a montrose seat for my bike and Julius was very helpful with setting my seat up and assisting with any other questions I had. You get a great sense of community there too because of the location and the coffeshop across the street. You can grab a drink and get your bike set up all at the same time.

I can respect BIKE HUB’S honesty. He gets straight to the point. If something cannot be fixed he lets you know right there and then.

I live in Fort lee and had to take a trip to Bike Hub yesterday because either what the shops around me had way too expensive or not what I wanted.After patiently waiting to be let in due to current pandemic, owner Buzz helped and explained in great detail as to what he had and not. I was looking to get 2 bikes, for me and my son, found one for me and unfortunately, my sons choice was not available and perhaps another day.In the meantime, if you see a negative review from a woman around the same dates because she was waiting to be helped and got kinda out of line but the owner handled it graciously and tried to reason with her, she stormed out of the store, Buzz went after her to try and help her, but no use.Im only writing this because I have reviews for my businesses sometimes from people who feel like royalties and entitled and the whole world should stop and cater their needs. This woman was like that.Anyways, this shop is operating with diminished capacity due to current situation but we were happy to be able to get atleast 1 bike (one of the ones I was interested in atleast) .Well be back although its out of our way for us.

I got a used bike given to me for free through a client of mine. It needed work. I turned it in to Buzz to do some work on it. Buzz is amazing! He made my bike feel almost like new! He’s very patient, friendly and knowledgeable. The price was also reasonable. Having a bike shop close by with a owner that is community oriented, is the best.

For the details, read below:You always pay a little more when buying from shops than when buying online ... but the advantage here is tremendous. The difference in prices at this shop is surprisingly miniscule and the advantage is you get great service, and support an awesome resource for the local cycling community.My first experience with this shop was when I first got into cycling. I bought a used bike and took it in for a tune-up. The guys were fantastic. Got everything working butter smooth even though it wasnt a great bike. They fixed my stem the way I wanted even though they thought I shouldve tried something different. I always felt appreciated and well taken care off. Best of all they did a great job, and I left the shop with a real trust in my bike. All of this was for the best price in town!Now fast forward a year and I really got into this cycling business. I got my own stand and started doing repairs, tuning at home and then got a new used bike that I worked on at home. I started ordering parts online because it was cheaper and did everything at home by myself ( I have since decided that I will on purpose buy from the bike hub instead so long as the prices remain at least similar to online.). Then COVID came around and getting stuff online started to take forever. I had spare time because my schedule was changed and started a big project where I tore my bike down to pieces, cleaned up everything, and changed my derailleur to a mountain bike derailleur, my chainset to a triple, and renewed my cassette and chain. During this process I ran into several issues and needed parts and help. Unfortunately my trusty Bike Hub had shorter work hours and me being the impatient person that I was I rushed to another store for repair help. Oh my god let me tell you the experience there was so different from my experience at the bike hub and really helped put things in perspective!. I came in because I had a click and intermittent loss of the drivetrain while riding in addition to a brake squeal. Long story short I ended up spending a lot of money at this other bike shop and went back home with the same issues unsolved and feeling a little disrespected. At home I put my bike back on the stand and figure out the problem in less than 2 hours. I had several damaged chain links and a new chain should fix the issue.The next day, I called my trusty old friend and asked about chains. Sure enough he had the right one and gave me the best price in town! I loved going to get it because even though I can buy it a little cheaper online, its nice to know that you can deal with a local shop and get a fair price and good treatment. Im happy to pay a little extra and have a resource like him around. But the extra here is super reasonable/ minimal unlike the other shops. And the owner is super friendly and welcoming. And the treatment you get when you walk in is beyond exceptional.So lesson learned. From now on, any part I want I call him first. Any mechanical help I need ... this shop will be the first in line. So long as he continues to offer this combination of great service and great price, I will be a returning customer.

We brought our mountain bikes here for servicing and it was done well and at a very fair price. (the bikes felt better than new when they were done!) So then we bought our teenage son a bike here. They gave fantastic service and he LOVES his bike. And since then we go whenever we need service or help with a flat, etc. They are great!

I called this shop and the owner told me to bring it in the next morning and he helped me quickly and efficiently and I was back on the road in no time. I was staying in New York for a week and needed to purchase an adventure bicycle as I was moving overseas, so looked up these guys online and went to see them in Jersey City, am so glad that I made the effort, was totally worth it.Buzz gave me tons of different options, was super helpful, professional, down to earth and friendly! Larissa was also super helpful. They then helped me send it overseas through UPS.Cannot recommend them highly enough!!

Bought a bike here and a few months later had a flat (ran over glass). I said I could drop it off and come back the next day since they were busy but they were able to fix it on the spot since it was quick. Thats really great service! Definetely reccomend here for all your bike needs.

Just went there this morning! I havent rode my bike since last year, so it needed a tune-up. Had the pleasure of talking to him during fixing up bike, he was a very down-to-Earth guy and knew what he was doing.He was very generous and offered me $25 plus tax for the tune-up when its originally $45. After my bike, it was a lot easier to ride around and control the breaks. If I wasnt moving, Id definitely go back there again! :)

Buzz and the guys at the Bike Hub are absolutely amazing! Even though its a family bike shop, these guys can do top-end builds. I had them build out a very expensive mountain bike for me and the workmanship was top notch. Their communication is amazing! I was missing two parts for the build and they were completely on top of it. If youre near Jersey City, this is the place to go!

I went in to grab a seat post after not riding my bike a few years after college since the other one was broken. Buzz, the owner, took care of replacing my seat onto the new post after making sure everything was greased up. He even took my bike and put it in the stand for a quick wipe down and chain lube! We started talking about the local trails and he signed me up for the stores mailing list for when they do rides together. Will certainly be coming back here!

My bike was not in use for more than a year, and had many problems with wheel alignment, brakes, etc. I went for a tune-up at Bike Hub, and main guy Buzz spent a lot of time to make sure every small detail was taken care of, and every issue resolved. I bought a Trek FX3 from The Bike Hub. From the day I went in to place my order to the day I got my delivery - I have had a really nice experience. I got my stuff delivered on time, exactly how I wanted that to be set up and even remembered to add a few add ons that I mentioned but forgot on the day of delivery (I even forgot to pay for them; I had to call Buzz to remind him about that and went back later to pay for them; there was no issue). I have not had to go back there for any kind of bicycle issue so far. Though Buzz has assured me that he is going to take care of any issue, should it arise, promptly. He is indeed a knowledgable and passionate person when it comes to bicycles and it was a delight to have done business with him. I highly recommend The Bike Hub.
