Quick and delicious! I ordered one serving of tater tots and a dozen wings for take out and it took about 10-15 minutes. Tater tots were crispy and hot, wings were flavorful and cooked well.

We were looking for a local corner bar to have a drink at before going to a concert up the street. We ended up getting a bar seat. The drink were reasonable and the food was great (wings and burger). The bartender was cool and made the experience that much better. We did not stay long but it brought everything we were looking for. So if you like a unique crowd, good food, and reasonable drink prices.. I highly recommend Lucky 7 Tavern

Great dive on the corner of Coles and 2nd. Friendly bartender, cook and manager. $6 Guinness and good bar food (good pretzel, great wings, plain fries are awesome). Space isnt big, with benches and tables spaced outside on the sidewalk.

The bar crawl decor is cool! As far as the fake bartender burning pretzels all night and then serving them to people is another story. He was low key aggravating with a superiority complex. The drinks are reasonably priced but unfortunately the super cute girl at the bar can’t make a decent drink. Overall if that’s your scene then enjoy but for me I’ll pass.

I wanted to order a White Russian but said she didnt have cream so she offered a Black Russian. Then I asked if they had rum chata and she unfortunately didnt. She then offered me a mud slide. I guess she figured out what I was into. The mud slide had just the right amount of alcohol.

I got lost in downtown while going to meet my daughters Mom. Turns out it was the greatest mistake I ever made. Music on the jukebox and the hospitality of the locals was amazing...I felt like everyone was my best friend...I was treated so nice there..its that dive bar that if it changes ....it will never be the same!! Please preserve the landmark ..The lucky 7.

Love this joint. When I lived in JC I came through all the time for a happy hour or pregame. Great bartenders, great prices cool grungy atmosphere. If youre a little high class or foofy Id stick to Hoboken but this is an awesome place if youre going to hit some of the Grove St spots after.

As a dive bar this place was such a rad place. I wanted a sticker so bad or even a coaster. The bartender was nice, the service regular, but the bar itself made it want you coming back. I would be a regular at this bar if I was a local.

They have a lot of different types of beer and not only beer but have any drink that you wanna get. There are a lot of people most of the time but everything is on time. The staff is working really fast so you wont wait at all. I love this place. If you have free time go and check it out.

This is your quintessential dive bar. You come here to bump elbows after work and late evening. Tiny place and probably pay the lowest prices in Downtown JC.Cons: Tiniest bathrooms. Tons of Smokers in the front. And if theres a DJ there are very few spots where you can hear the person next to you.

One of my favorite spots to start or end a night in JC.Wish theyd scrub up a little, maybe fix up the bathroom good and proper, maybe buy the upstairs and throw in a game room and overflow bar (and have event space for shows then). But all those are wishes its one of my favorite spots afterall

Got lost in JC after a date and stopped in at Lucky 7. The bartender was more than willing to write me directions to get back to my car and also let me charge my phone. Beer selection was also excellent. Will be going back again.

Very good drink prices for game day. I enjoyed a couple of pints of Guinness and some buffalo chicken wings with my friends while we watched the Arsenal v. Liverpool game. Modest stomp here along with modest prices. I like that.

Born in JC. Raised in Hoboken. Been hanging in downtown JC for over 30 years. Great little dive bar. Great staff. Only complaint is owners should allow staff to give buy backs for steady customers. How it has always been in the neighborhood.

What can I say about this place.......its the classic JC dive bar that Ive been going to since Ive turned 21, which was around 2011. My favorite is their combo, a $5 beer and shot deal, which comes with a shot of heaven Hill whiskey and PBR (Patrick swayze) or Schaefer. They also have their yearly July block party that is always fun. And they have the best local DJs, playing all types of genres. So always great and consistent. Never a bad time.

I like to consider myself as an avid connoisseur being that I tend to enjoy conserving money on the strongest beers for the best value. This is where you get it. Ive never been to Jersey City for a night life experience and a friend referred me to this dive bar. Crowd is mixed, which is a plus and the music selection is even better. When it comes to dive bars, music is a key essential. I actually had a few hard shots for a night cap. Not a bad place. If youre a fan of dive bars you must check out Welcome to The Johnsons in NY. Diamond in the rough.

Your typical college dive bar, if that is the vibe you are going for then you might rate it higher. I am way past the college vibe. The bartenders are awesome people. Always a good time. In the weekends when they are packed to the max, it can have a sweaty smell to it.

Its a down and dirty drinking bar. Show up as you are, in a suit or in sweat pants. Grab a stool and get a drink. The food is actually pretty good and the service is perfect. It just became my top 5 places in Jersey City to have a beer. This is a moving list so today its #1. Tomorrow it might be 2 or 3. But itll stay in the top 5 mix.

Lucky 7 is pretty much the classic dive bar in Jersey City. As others have noted it looks a bit scary from the outside. Like a dingy bar that probably has a few bodies buried in the back. I havent been out back to check for bodies so I can neither confirm or deny, but the place is usually packed--especially on weekends. Interestingly enough it isnt packed with one demographic, as yuppie, hipster, young people and old people all congregate here. Everyone is friendly though. Drinks are cheap across the board, and even cheaper when you factor in specials. Never had the food so I cant comment there. Service is surprisingly good, although the place is packed and it can be difficult to get a bartenders attention. My advice is to come here with a small group of people who are as broke as you, so you can carve out some personal space for yourselves. Im not a big dive bar person but even I have to admit this is a decent option if youre looking to get drunk in Jersey City.
