Wonderful place to go see some history! They even have an area for children! Love it!
It has a childrens museum in the back but it was INCREDIBLE. I love history. The old telephones entertained the kids while I walked the general store museum. Go explore it if you ever come to visit! Im from Georgia. Must see place.
Fascinating view into how people lived 70 years ago or more and what they shopped for. The telephone museum attached to it was a bonus. The docent was fun to talk to and had some great stories.
So love this place and I am not a museum person. You must stop and see it
Incredible collection of merchandise from a family general store that was closed in 1949. Great story of how the merchandise ended up there. There is also surprise in back... a separate museum dedicated to the history of the telephone system put together by the AT&T Pioneer volunteers with tons of rare telephones and equipment dating from the 1880s to modern times.
Strange lil place with some cool historic artifacts. And some creepy man size rabbits for Easter.
This place is great! I really enjoyed going back in time here. I especially liked the Telephone Museum in the back!
The Tupper Museum offers a wonderful look at actual merchandise from the first half of the 1900s. In the back portion of the building is an extensive telephone museum. Id recommend it for anyone wishing to know more about Southern Louisiana. Id also recommend it to families with school age children.
Great place to go for a little history and a step back on time
This was a neat place to visit. Old store just like it was the day it closed. If you take your time a lot to see.
This place has a lot of history and is very well kept. There is also a great area for kids. The people are also extremely nice!
A walk through the past. Many treasures to see as well as home-grown and homemade objects.
Had fun looking at everything my boys enjoyed it too and the stuff were super nice!!
The store is like stepping back into time. My 5 yo daughter loves things from that era and was enthralled to see it laud out that way. The flour sack fabric still had bright vibrant colors. The small hardware selection was prestine. The shoes and baby clothes are beautiful and really show how far we have come and also how things are the same. The museum worker was amazing. She walked around with us, and told us about everything we asked about. She was the perfect example of Louisiana hospitality. In the back of the store, there is an amazing little telephone museum for kids. Its a great place for the kids to play. There is a kid themed area for them to color or play with puppets. They can get go thru a maze that has telephones from all eras. One my daughters favorite was the pair of old fasdion telephone booths. We were able to talk to each other from each or own booth. This is a great place to spend a couple of hours if you enjoy history.
