Such an awesome dog park! The dog owners there are typically very cognizant of their dogs behavior and follow dog park etiquette which is unlike many of the other free parks I have gone to. There are 2 large dog areas on rotation and 1 small dog area plus off-leash trails that can be accessed within the large dog areas. The trails connect to miles more of on-leash trails that bring you to really nice areas overlooking a river and through the ravines. My dog absolutely loves this place. Her excitement is evident as she runs full speed and frolics through the tall grasses. This has become my favorite places to walk my dog.
Saw a Bald Eagle by the river on Thanksgiving! First time here and we loved the trails through the ravines, both paved and unpaved. The bridge is awesome. However Im giving 4 stars not 5 because there was so much dog poop by the trails. There were plenty of free poop bags and trash cans so no excuse People!
This is a terrific network of parks and trails. Going north links up to GVSU trails for cross-country and their campus arboretum. Head south and trails will link up to a huge dog park and trails along the river. The ravines have lots of elevation changes up in the woods and headed towards the suspension bridge, or you can stay on flat trails along the river. Lots to see including the aforementioned suspension bridge, a small covered bridge, wildflowers in spring and summer, foliage in fall, and tons of wildlife including bald eagles.
Great park, fantastic amenities and really clean! You can give your dog a bath in the bathroom with a special shampoo hose as well which is great! The trail is incredible and the cable suspended bridge is awesome as well. I love taking pictures here and letting our dog wander around in the fenced in park. Highly recommended!
What a fantastic dog park! Clean, well-manicured, with running water (not during winter) for you and the dogs. Connected to a beautiful trail system. Theres even an enclosed off-leash trail. Cant wait to go back!
Absolutely love taking our dog here, or just going for a walk. Beautiful place, expertly maintained. Cant recommend enough!
Its far away from us, but it is worth it! HUGE park with a fenced in trail where the dogs can run through trees and tall grass. The facilities are awesome with restrooms, vending, and a dog wash ($5 I think)Whats more is everyone we have encountered has been so observant and kind. So far everyone has been keeping an eye on their dogs and are understanding when our energetic pup gets a little riled up.Its a great park!
Its a great park to explore. The off leash dog area, suspension bridge, covered bridge, and ravine trails are amazing.Keep in mind the 3 petal white flowers are Trillium and are a protected species in Michigan. Please do not pick those flowers. This location has both paved and unpaved areas. The ravines are deep so be prepared to climb out if you climb in.
We adore this dog park! great company, great dogs, etc. 9npy problem is there is never enough parking.. especially on nice days and weekends. even all the grass is full!
Best dog park Ive ever been to. Clean lots of space. Water fountain for dogs to drink. Nature trails. Scenic views. It really has it all
I absolutely adore this place. Ive been bringing my dog here for the past two or three years, and I wont take my him anywhere else because nothing else compares to this place. Not only do they have two large grassy parks and a smaller park for dogs that are less than 25lbs, there is also an incredible fenced in wooded area too with trails so your dog can enjoy some quality off leash time while running through fields and trees. There are also extensive walking trails around the park that go through the woods and all the way to the Grand River. It can be muddy at times, but thats why they also added a dog wash!
We LOVE this park! beautiful, well maintained trails cool suspended bridge and covered bridge, handicap accessible kayak launch and three area fenced in Dog park.
Gorgeous well-kept park, with a beautiful suspension bridge and scenery. Also a very large dog park. I highly recommend this place.
Its a beautiful, spacious location that Im always happy to return to! Definitely recommend to anyone with doggos. :)
Such a great nature experience for dogs that need to run. Always a good experience and beautiful dogs of all breeds.
Well kept with lots of trails to walk varying from dirt to paved. Great place to wear or your four legged friends!
Walking from the river level up to the dog walk area as the seasons progress and observing the changes in flora and birdsong has been an enduring pleasure!
This is one of the nicest dog parks that I have been to so far. The grass is super plush and there is lots of room for the dogs to run. They do have pop bag stations and a drinking fountain for both the humans and the dogs. There are lots of trails outside of the dog park for walking and exploring and I am looking forward to checking them all out, since this was only my first time here.I suggest checking it out if you havent been here yet, as its a very beautiful area.
Super great place to take your dog to exercises at the dog park or hike with the family!
Visited with our adult kids and their dog. Fun pace to meet dogs and people! Plenty of space to run and roam. Muddy in spring but not much you can do about that. Come prepared.
Great place for dogs. Quite spacious with multiple fenced in enclosures and a great walking trail around the perimeter.
Love it but sometimes they dont have all the sections open
This dog park, in my opinion since I have not been to a lot of them, it a wonderful play where you can let your dog roam free in a safe fenced in area. Now that doesnt mean you can just sit back on the benches there and take a nap!!! With lots of dogs all in one same area, there are bound to be a few confrontation between dogs. I have even had to break up a harmless tussle between another dog and mine, but dont think for one minute that your dog is not going to find him/her self where only any owner of the dog can control the situation. Now with said... Most days are wonderful! Dont be offended if someone asks you if your dog is fixed or has regular treatments for fleas etc. And truthfully, I have no problem answering peoples questions because I have nothing to hide! I think this park is AWESOME! They separate the small dogs and they have their own fenced in area. Then there are two different areas that bigger dogs play. Right now one section is closed so it can regrow grass so that you dont leave with a muddy dog! This Spring I knew if I was taking my dog out there to let out some energy, an immediate bath was coming after we got home. Lol The current open larger dog section still has some muddy spots but the payout for a worn out dog is well worth the effort for me! This dog park also has working bathrooms for men and women and also a dog wash on site. Its very expensive, but if you come not prepared to cover the inside of your car with towels, etc. Then the dog wash is worth a quick wash!! Warning, that mud is hard to get off your dog. Not sure what is in that mud, but it takes some washing to get it out of your dogs fur! So a stack of quarters would come in handy in a pinch. I posted in some pictures the dog wash. Its $5 or $10 for ridiculous short periods of time. Personally, I come prepared with towels, seat covers and wash my dog at home. Buts its nice if you are in a pinch. The Ravines off of Fillmore Rd. Has an upper and lower trail walking trails. With all of the rain we have been having, you are going to get muddy quickly. But its a beautiful trail!! I just have a high energy dog and the segregated fenced in area is just fine for me! Overall, the trails and dog areas are well maintained and I actually saw a young man who was emptying trash! I think its a great place. Some owners like to talk. Others do not. Its easy to figure out who is interested in conversation pretty clearly. Just as the dogs also let other dogs know they want to run and play or hide behind their owner. Check it out!!! It really is a nice place.
Great place to take your dog to play or even go for a nice run or walk along the trails.
A beautiful dog park with plenty of open areas, a dog wash and indoor restrooms
Great dog park! Wish there wasnt any shared balls
Beautiful foliage, neat suspension Bridge. Highlight was getting pictures of the eagle.
Great dog park, off leash trails are fabulous
Fantastic dog park, located in a quiet area. Well maintained restrooms with plenty of features that are dog-friendly. A must explore for any four legged friends.
Very nice and clean. Lots of trails.
Great Park always have a hard time deciding which dogs to bring as we have two large and one small. Usually if its going to be one of the kids and myself, its the small. So this particular visit we spent Our time in the small dog area There was one person leaving as we arrived so we had the whole area to ourselves and two owners and furry friends as we were leaving. Which is kind of nice to just throw the ball and let him run around. Our friends likes to also run on the nice Asphalt / paved circle inside the penned area. On this particular day was pretty cold. So the ground was nice and hard there is a spot in kind of the back corner opposite the gate that can sometimes be pretty muddy down low. So when we throw the ball, we have to be careful that it doesnt go in there. Otherwise the dogs get all muddy and gross. But there is a nice wash station inside the building along with nice indoor bathrooms. So if nature does call for us humans, We can take care of things and not freeze off our little bottoms. In my opinion, it seems like the small dog area doesnt get dug up as much as the larger dogs areas. I guess because of the animal size, of course . Have not gone on the long Paths that are all fenced-in yet. This particular time was too cold to be doing too much walking, especially with a three-year-old in tow.
Loved walking with my sister and her dog without needing a leash.
Fantastic place for nice walk and saw Bald Eagle also!!!
If I could give this park more stars I would. Best dog park Ive ever been too. Off leash trails are the absolute best, huge area for dogs to play and make friends. I even washed my dog before I went home.
Our family hikes here a few times a year. The dogs love coming along, the older boys are kept intrigued by the variety of trail choices and the scenery is beautiful. Lots of birds, including a bald eagle to see. Bathroom facilities are at the beginning and end of the paved trails and are always well maintained when I’m there.
The absolute best dog park ever. Take your dogs here, no matter how far away.
Beautiful paths lead you down to the Grand River and sights like this. The dog park is a great place for owners to let their canine children romp and socialize. Lots of informational signage teach the curious how the ravines and Grand River were formed.
Amazing park, wonderful trails, abundance of wildflowers
Great dog park with large dog area and fenced-in trails
HUGE dog park! My hound loves the fenced in ravine trail. One very large big-dog field, a small-dog side. Bathrooms, paid dog wash station, vending machines all on site. And on-leash trails around the dog park. We love this park so much that we drive 35-40 to come here on days off. People here are usually very aware of their dogs as well, which is nice. Just beware of mud season! Come in muck Boots, bring towels to cover your seats, you and your dog are going to get dirty :)
It was my first time taking my dog to a dog park and he LOVED it! Great area to let your pup run and play with other dogs! Very clean!
Very clean and everyone is always so friendly and welcoming.
There is NO shade but there is a lot of room and a cool drinking fountain for pups and their human. The off leash trails are very nice as well.
Clean, clearly marked trails chocked full of great sights, good people and doggos.
My pup absolutely loves this park, and so do I! The off-leash area around the ravine is great for a dog that likes to explore. It’s fully fenced, but a little off-road so prepare to hike if you want to stay with your dog.
Beutiful paek, all kinds of trails.
Trails are great, let your dogs run free
Best. Dog. Park. Ever. There are trails to walk your dog off leash with high brush to help keep your dog on the path. The Park is huge! There are indoor bathrooms that are always clean, an indoor dog wash station, vending machines!?! I was nervous bringing my dog here for the first time because he’d never been to a dog park before. He absolutely had a blast so now we visit at least twice a week. My dog is only 13lbs but he’s an absolute bullet who loves to play and be chased so I bring him to the “all dogs” (mostly larger dogs) area. He’s a tab bit too hyper for the small dogs area. This area is large enough to keep him entertained for even 3 hours straight. Not to mention there are always tons of friendly dogs here too who love to chase him around. The dog owners are also usually very friendly and happy. My dog and I always have a great time here! 11/10 would recommend visiting if given the chance. I promise you’ll want to come back!
A really fun park to be at. Nice paths and beautiful trees in the fall!
Great park! Both the fenced in dog park area and the non-fenced in area are so nice and well kept. Its stunning in the fall!
I do dog parks in Florida because I have to, Florida seems to hate dogs. But I heard good things about this place, so I took the crew.Just awesome. Three giant fenced yards for off leash. Shade huts. Excellent self draining doggy drinking fountain. Paved trail. Clean. And trails. Really nice trails, but you must have your dog on leash.Dont leave without seeing the suspension bridge.
Great park to take your dog. Lots of trails and a huge fenced in yard to let him run. This is one of the best dog parks around!
Love the off leash woods area, but the regular dog park and large trails are also great.
This is a top notch dog park! Well done Georgetown Township
Beatiful, large open space for dogs to roam. Dogs could spend hours exploring the trail and ravine area.
Awesome place! Large fenced in park plus a fenced in trail area to off leash walk dogs. There are muddy spots and standing water. The trail is wooded and has meadow like areas my digs love to run through.
This place is great! It has huge fenced in areas for your dog to run to their hearts content or if you prefer go for a walk along the extensive walking paths here. The suspension bridge is also very cool!
Great spot for an adventure with my babies
Beautiful walking trails along the Grand River and through wooded areas. Large dog park. Nice modern restrooms. Some trails have paved surface.
Big park with a lot of space for dogs to run around. Not much shade or seating provided though
A great place to take the pups for a stroll.
We took our dog Loki here for the first time today. Its a great place for him to get excercise and be sociable. Hes anxious around other dogs, so we didnt go into the off-leash area yet, but we were encouraged to when we felt ready. Its clean and well maintained, has bathrooms and vending as well. It does lack shade in some areas, but theres plenty on the trails. 5 stars all day long!
Love bringing the pups here to play. Friendly people and a lovely space that is well taken care of like. Some people make the park down a star because of how some people act but that shouldnt be reflected on to the park.
Great park, lots of room for the dogs ro run and lots of trails
Love the grand ravines park. The dog area is very nice as well.
place for outing for and place for gatherings like .
On leash trails, off leash trails and small and large dog parks. This place is the best.
Beautiful park with lots of different trails. Very nice restroom facilities
Fantastic winter hikeThe dog park looks very nice. Its a very big dog park and looks very nice. I cant wait to bring my dog this Summer and use the park and hiking trails.
We love coming here with our great dane. Does anyone know if its still open? We havent been going just in case, but hes been asking to go
What an amazing place! The hike to the river on a paved path is absolutely gorgeous!
I havent been to a lot of dog parks, but this one puts all the dog parks Ive seen and visited TO SHAME!!! The enclosed wilderness trails has given us an opportunity to safely train our dog to stay with us off leash. And she loves it there
The nicest dog park in the area! Great on-leash and off-leash trails to walk or run with your four-legged friends! Two enclosed large dog areas and one enclosed small dog areas are all super nice and expansive. Plenty of room for your hounds to get out some energy! Paved cement walk paths are throughout, even on the walking trails areas. Make sure to check out the suspension bridge over the ravine!
This place is my dog and my favorite! Lots of fun with the fenced in parks and it was perfect for training with the fenced in trails. The unfenced trails are vast and we can get in some really beautiful walks along the different routes. I love going here and would recommend it for anyone with dogs, without dogs, runners, walkers, or pretty much anyone who enjoys being outside.
Amazing facilities! Really one of the best dog parks in Michigan!! Trails are kept well, bathrooms clean, it was a wonderful experience!!
Nice trails, most of them are paved
Nice and spacious park! it is usually pretty muddy though
Brand new place. Very crowded. Primarily because it allows dogs. You can park here and take the trails to the Grand River. Or if you want to run your dog loose, stay in the fenced in dog area. They have a nice lodge at the other end of the County Park which can be reserved for private functions.
We love the dog park! Lots of space for our dogs to run and nice trails to walk. The dog bath is also great for muddy days.
Lots of room for dogs of all sizes to roam. Great paths through the park to explore too. Be sure to bring the whole family.
Awesome trails. The suspension bridge is pretty cool. Lots to see and lots of different trails to hike.
Best *free* dog park in town!
One of the newest parks in the areaThere are hiking trails a supension bridge a dog park and much more
So many happy dogs
Best dog park in the greater Grand Rapids area. It’s so great how they rotate between the play areas. Keeps the grass from turning to mud/sand from overuse. My pup LOVES the fenced in trails. The dog wash station is so handy and very affordable.
Great dog park! Big and different areas to walk and play. Gets pretty muddy on the non paved trails.
They have 3 fenced in areas, 2 for all dogs (one closed at a time), and one for small dogs. They have an off leash area that is wooded with trails that seem to go on for hours! Great place to take a walk through the Forrest with your canine companion. It also has a bathroom building that your are allowed to take your dog with vending machines, dog wash area (takes credit too). Almost forgot to mention the fenced in areas have dog/human water fountains!
This is a beautiful park and great for the entire family!
Amazing place to take your pets! All the other people here are just so friendly and their trail. Is a blast for the dogs to. Run up and down with out worrying they may run too far.
Nice paths for running.
The ravines has the best trails, and the dog park is really nice
Great Place to spend a Saturday morning with your dog!!
I would love to give it 5 stars but cant quite yet. First it is a great place to take your dog. It is large and clean and has areas for both small and large dogs to play and run off leash. It also has an area that is wooded and has like nature trails to let your dog run off leash through it. It also has water fountains to give your dog and your self drinks of water. I do wish it had shaded areas for you to sit. Most days it wouldnt matter but some summer days can get quite hot and a bit of shade would be helpful. Also a couple of the gates need maintenance as they didnt stay closed. They were inner gates so at least it still had the outer gate for protection. Over all, this is a wonderful place to go and I plan on spending a lot of time here. Thank you so much for making this available!
Always a great day at the park. Lots of room for dogs to run around and play!
Beautiful location, with lots of room for pups to run and play. Couple of trails to walk, and nice scenery throughout. We took our family there for some great family photos, with plenty of differing back drops to work with!
