Was an out of towner, very disappointed, management or whoever he was that came rushing over there was not professional at all. Did not appreciate him turning around and just walking away while we were still talking to him too. I wont probably be back.

This is my favorite theater of all time. The staff there is just amazing, even though theres a constant turnover of teams they seem to stay around for a year or two and they become your friends. They are very well trained and pleasant. The popcorn is is good tasting compared to some other movie theaters in the general area. There is a soft drink station for refills where you can get your own or pour some water for that second or third cup. The seats are comfortable and they all have cup holders and you can lean back a little bit. You have a great selection of movies on Wednesdays and Sundays that they call flashback Cinema. I spent many a nights theyre catching up on some old films that I really loved. there are eight theaters inside this then you that you can choose to see. If there is a very popular film they will add extra viewings. Overall it is a great bargain for your buck

My father and I went to go see Dolittle and everyone was great. Popcorn was delicious and fresh and the drinks were always filled. The staff were helpful and courteous. My only complaint is the theatre needs to be more handicap friendly. I can only park my wheelchair all the way in the back of the theatre and the bathrooms are impossible to navigate in a wheelchair, especially if there are people in there. They really need a family bathroom. Especially if your handicap and need assistance.

Its a nice place to go see a movie. I love that they bring back some of my favorite movies and put them on the big screen. The people who work there are friendly and helpful.

Fully staffed. The lines moved quick for tickets and for popcorn/drinks. Wonderful. Hey Walmart, pay attention to how they do it.

Everything is way too expensive! We could buy a soda from the gas station for 75 cents and candy for less. We could easily just watch a movie at home for the cost of $2 or less. Unless you need to buy the DVD.

Appreciate that they had enough cashiers available so the lines moved quickly. Needed a booster seat for the grandkid, had to go through several before finding a fairly clean one. All in all, a good experience, well return.

Clean, comfy seats, good sound, all in all what you would expect. It was a bit cool inside for me. Refreshments were pricey but pretty much expected for a movie theater.

In an age of reserved seating and reclining seats Capital 8 is a little behind the times. But having said that the ticket prices are pretty low. My main issue with this theater is that the seating is uncomfortable.

Really enjoy the GQT Theaters, seats are roomy and comfortable. Facilities clean and nice, with a pleasant staff. I enjoy the arm rests that raise up to give you room to cuddle with your significant other. Drinks get free refills, popcorn refills are 50¢. There are seating options in the lobby, and some games for pre-show entertainment. Enjoy the show!

Yes, yes, we all know its the only theater in town...HOWEVER! They are always clean, the seats are comfy and the quality of the movies is top notch as well as affordable. My favorite day is 5$ Tuesdays because I can take my son and catch a new movie for as little at 15$(tickets + popcorn)

Its a decent theater locally and they had a recent renovation to their concession stand and made it so people can refill their soda at no extra cost. However, it is older and a bit run down, though they did have new seats installed recently as well. There are no stadium style seats there and because it is the ONLY theater in town, youre forced to go elsewhere if you want something more updated... like Columbia or Lake Ozark.

This is a good theater for being the only game in town. Not laid out like the newer theaters but they do a good job. Of course like them all, overpriced concessions but the Goodrich card helps a bit with that.

The movies are really great, the place is clean and kept pretty good.

Always friendly and helpful. Had my tickets in less than five minutes on opening night!

Went to the 1500 showing of Glass with the family. Small mix up at the ticket counter and received tickets for the Upside which we already viewed. Didn’t realize it until the movie started.Walked out and talked to the manager. She was, polite, understanding and professional. Exchanged our tickets for a later showing with no hassle.Yes, it’s an older theatre but always have a good experience with the staff being friendly.Customer service, two thumbs up.

Visited here a couple times recently. Staff were friendly and theater area is nice.

Arrived very short time before the showtime, the staff seen us arriving and hurried over to assist. Had very good I formation about the movie we wanted to see as varies ages were represented. Concession staff friendly with youngsters. Everyone loved Christopher Robin as suggested very enjoyable experience. We especially appreciate the weekly free show also. Thank you!!

Have been going to this theater since I was a child (probably since its really the only one in Jefferson City) but it always brings a sense of comfort when I go. It truly is my favorite place to go an enjoy a movie.

Watched the new Aladdin. Screen had pink lines through it so the reset it and it didnt help and then they left the lights on the rest of the movie (which was basically the entire movie). They gave us a free small drink for the inconvenience sorry but a small drink doesnt cover the fact I paid that much for a movie I had to watch in the worst conditions.

Nice theater that is constantly being updated. Screen quality is good and the FMG card is a nice little perk.

Capital 8 theatres are the best theatres Ive ever been to! Seats are very comfortable! I like the seasoning shakers for the popcorn! I also think its convenient because you can get your own refill (@ the refill station)! The theatre usually stays clean and the staff are kind and gentle! For my opinion, it doesnt take too long to get your beverages and popcorn. You can save lots of money with the FMG rewards card and get specials on your email! Capital 8 theatres has the best tasting movie theater popcorn with extra butter! Its real convenient because you can use a kiosk to purchase tickets! Plus, GQT has all the latest technology and you can watch certain movies in 3D! It is the best theatre in mid-Missouri! For one person, youre going to spend about $20.00 for a ticket and personal popcorn and soda. Which I feel is reasonable! Matenaes are cheaper! I wish they had pretzel bites with cheddar cheese! If its a really good movie, I feel it is worth it, but be sure to get points on your FMG rewards card! Thanks for the good work GQT! Im a big fan of GQT!

Excellent staff and venue! Ive gone here for nearly 4 years and each experience has been par or better. This last time I had lost my wallet and the management staff was more than helpful finding it with us just 5min. before the next show.I recommend this theater and hope it thrives in this small city.

Im glad they did the remodel to upgrade from upholstered to vegan leather seats, but the quality of the theater just cant compare with what you can get in a larger city. Im also a little salty because the classic movies are the same price as the blockbusters. By no means a bad place to watch a movie, but definitely not a theater that a theater snob will love.

Good theater. Only one in Jefferson City. They do good on updating it and keeping it nice. The staff are nice and they play the new movies. They also do Flashback Cinema, which plays older blockbusters, which is really nice!

Been there many times. Its usually only full during the first couple days of new movie releases.

So you pre-order tickets for a movie and are supposed to just walk up to the kiosk to get it scanned and seated.....but they still make you wait in line for pre-ordered tickets......really, great call

My hometown theater (eight screens) recently installed new chairs in all auditoriums. Speaking as a hearing impaired man, I think the sound is first rate. And the staff is friendly and well-trained... Ive never had a problem and theyve been very helpful in some instances, like when I lost something under the seats or forgot an item when I got up to leave.I recommend you acquire and use a Frequent Moviegoers card; it helps to cut the edge on concession prices, and its a good way to get news and special offers on your phone, computer, or laptop.I sometimes wish Goodrich Capital 8 would make more of a effort to bring in art films and special interest movies. I have taken advantage of their documentary series when its offered.All around though, theres little to fault them with. I will remain a steady customer.

Took my boys to see Rampage. Everything was alright until the movie stopped, I mean, there was volume but Im thinking the bulb blew out because the screen went black. This was right at the ending climax of the movie. Just before the big battle. Now I know GQT Capital 8 isnt responsible for when I get to see my kids. But they did help destroy our family event. The supervisor was hiding and left it to the assistant supervisor. Any who, I asked for another showing for free. She said all they will give is free popcorn and soda coupons. Now I just paid for a 3D( 1 adult 2 teens and 1 child) movie. I will take my family to movies in Columbia theater before I take the chance of watching expensive movies here in Jefferson City, at least everyone in the theater that night knows that Capital8 is garenteed let you leave there theater with bed bugs and a percentage of your movie unseen and its okay with them. I guess because we watched the opening credits we didnt deserve to watch the ending credits. The lights went out when the Rock gorilla friend wasnt under mind control, we missed the fight between the wolf and the alligator. $30+ and she was talking about popcorn and soda to make up. Told me I still had to pay another $30 to watch again. So they wanted me to pay $60 to finish a movie they screwed up on..... Capital 8 is horrible......

I Live in St. Louis, Mo. and visit Jefferson City every so often and I like to see a movie when Im in town. I enjoyed your theater very much and you all have the best popcorn.

Understand you cant tell people how to raise their own kids, but a rule not allowing anyone under the age of 10 into R rated movies would be nice. Baby crying, 5 year old talking the whole movie, another kicking the seat. Staff was nonexistent. Got a free popcorn and soda out of it. Weeeeee.

This is a very nice theater, which I am happy to say, now has upgraded, comfy seats! I believe this is the only theater in Jeff City and for the most part, it is a good one.The young people that work there, try hard to be friendly and polite, the restrooms are very clean as is the theater itself. The sound systems are good and there are cheap, cheap prices on the popcorn refills.The tickets are the same price as the ones in SoCal, but there is a child rate, a senior rate and an early bird rate...check it out online.One of the most important things is that it is disabled friendly..I have been in many places in Missouri that are not. All in all, a good place to spend the afternoon.

I almost always enjoy my visits to the movies. Always clean. Always fresh.

Revamped seats very comfy now, but $4.50 for a small soda is far to expensive. The pre-movie ads are at a good volume, but then the digital announcement comes on at a deafening level. Please, we are not all hard of hearing! Nor do we want to be made deaf by the extremely loud volume.

This theater has underwent a few updates over the last couple of years. The most needed and notable has been the seating. Now with more cushion and the ability to raise the arm rest if you so choose to sit a little closer to the one you came with.This isnt a large multiplex or megaplex theater with reserved seating, enourmous screens, and vast amenities, however, it offers a comfortable clean environment to enjoy the cinema experience with your family and friends. Complete with the standard popcorn, soda, and boxed candy. With a few other snack options available.Staff do a great job to ensure the showing of your preferred movie is displayed without distraction or delays. Always a good selection of newly released films as well as scheduled showings of some classics.If you are in the Capitol City take advantage this close and convenient venue to watch the next blockbuster film to hit the big screens.

Been going GQT Capital 8 theaters for good while now and I always have a wonderful time there

Place needs renovating, popcorn was solid as was the staff with one exception. A female manager who was training new employees loudy focused on how each employee could and would be terminated if they leave their station, or overuse their rewards program. She said Im not afraid to terminate anyone, and that includes you. Ive already fired three people and I have no problem firing more. My questions are why are you focusing on what will get employees fired instead of cutomer experience, and why are you seemingly bragging about this loud enough for guests to hear? A movie theatre should be a fun place to work, where employes get to share their love for movies with guests. Nobody should come to work worrying about every little thing so they dont get fired. Also these were new employees and you likely sucked the excitement right out of them. I saw the Mission Impossible movie on 8/11 at 3:10. Again popcorn was solid, and the staff that helped me was fantastic.

A decent movie theater overall, but some of the screens are better than others...this also applies to the sound.
